About Sara Stoltzfus

My husband, Dan, and I both grew up in Lancaster County among the Amish. In fact,I, Sara, grew up Amish. We enjoy vacationing with our energetic young family at kid friendly places and so I enjoy preparing a place of quiet rest and relaxation for other Mommys and Daddys and to all who choose to vacation here!

Sara Stoltzfus purchased this bed and breakfast in 2005

Why Sara Stoltzfus chose Quarryville

We have always liked the quiet countryside of the southern part of the county and began dreaming and looking for a property with more acreage. We found this property and with it came an operating B&B. As a busy stay-at-home Mom, I soon became excited about the idea of how well this would work for us and the rest of the property was a dream come true for us! God just seemed to move some major things that seemed to be in our way to purchase this property and we have enjoyed every aspect of the property and meeting lots of wonderful people!!

What makes this bed and breakfast unique

Our property is along a quiet country road in the southern end of Lancaster County just 15 miles south of Lancaster and located within 20 minutes to most major attractions including Dutch Wonderland, Strasburg Railroad, and Rockvale and Tanger Outlets.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted to say again how much we enjoyed our stay with you. It far exceeded our expectations! Everything was wonderful, from the cleanliness of the rooms to the homemade bread and everything in between. We even enjoyed your fireworks display from the window. I would recommend your Bed & Breakfast to anyone wanting to stay in your area. I'm hoping we will be able to come back someday.

Another great experience!

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at Stony Hill again this year! It was great to see Tasha and Maya again and we are glad to have been able to have had a little more relaxation time than last year. As always, the Stoltzfus' were so gracious and we once again enjoyed Sara's homemade bread and strawberry jam and streusel. We will definitely be back next year!

Clean & Quiet

  • 5 of 5

My sister and her husband joined my husband and me for a four day stay at The Barn. We were all impressed by how clean, quiet, and private it was. The continental breakfast was delicious. This is my second time to stay there, but I'm sure we will stay again the next time we are in that area. Thank you, Sara, for a very pleasant stay.

Amazingly clean and tidy rental

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The owners are respectful of your privacy and the accommodations were truly first class. The 2 dogs that greeted us were a hit with the kiddos.

Lovely stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect place to stay! We were close to everything we wanted to visit in the Lancaster area, and it was also an hour to Hershey and not quite 2 hours to Gettysburg. The rental was clean and cozy, and the beds were very comfortable! Although small, the kitchen was great for making simple meals at home, which is one of the reasons we like to rent from vrbo. Sara supplied us with delicious homemade bread, jam, fruit, yogurt, muffins, and a couple of tomatoes from her garden. We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful area of rolling hills, valleys, and lovely farms. Sara and her family were very welcoming and hospitable, and it was our pleasure to meet them!
