Our family reunion was awesome! After 5 years we celebrated Thanksgiving and made so many memories. The condo and cabin were perfect for everyone aged 2-78. Kitchen was good for big Thanksgiving meal prep. And bunks and games were perfect for kids. Thank you thank you!!!!

The location was amazingly and the lodge/cottage combination fitted our family reunion perfectly. The three main floor bedrooms housed first generation (age 88-94)with easy access to kitchen, living room and back deck. Our host purchased a commercial wheelchair ramp to accommodate a wheelchair and two walkers. Everyone had a bed to sleep in! The four restrooms ensured that there was always one available for the 21 people staying and 5 extras who came for dinner. We made good use of the grill and hot tub. We had a wonderful time together.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this house and owner! We brought 19 family members to CO from MS for a family vacation and this house was perfect for our family! We ranged in ages from 4-70. The kitchen had everything we could have possibly needed. We ate many meals together in the house, and enjoyed the grill and back patio. Everything was super clean and organized! The beds were so comfortable and the showers were amazing! We enjoyed the game tables in the basement, and had several family corn hole tournaments in the front yard. The owner was so quick to respond to me anytime I had a question about anything! This property was the perfect place for our family vacation, and I hope we can come stay here again in the future!

Great cabin for a family reunion

The cabin was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well stocked with everything labeled. The bathrooms were all well stocked. The hot tub was very clean. Great communication from manager. Our family had a great time at our reunion!

50th Wedding Anniversary

Picture perfect!

We absolutely loved our stay at Walton’s Mountain Lodge. My large family all got together for a reunion and have nothing but great things to say about this property. Everything was as advertised, the host was incredibly responsive to my 1000 questions and the location was perfect for my adventurous family. The kitchen was very well stocked with serve ware, spices, and appliances. The check in and check out process was easy. The host even mailed a priceless blanket made by my late mother that was left behind back to its proper home. Highly recommend this property!

This was our 23rd year of going to the Walton's. That should tell you something. We do need one new bridge table as one of the tables has unsteady legs. Thank you Waltons.

Stayed for my wedding!

Our family stayed at this property with ample room to spread out. We loved our stay at this beauty cabin and found its location to Manitou very accessible. Manager was great to work with.

Fantastic Family Reunion!

It is a great property, very comfortable, well-equipped, lots of space for eating and general seating. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub- which is actually hot! The seven private bedrooms and two bunk rooms were perfect for our family. We had plenty of linens, pillows, blankets, etc.. Everyone in our family would like a future stay!

This house was wonderful. The kitchen was perfect. We had a large group. There was everything avaliable that we needed. The main floor was perfect for gathering everyone together. The only unexpected thing was the basement. It had a slight septic smell. And one of the bunkbeds. Did not appear to be clean.

Gorgeous location

We visited for a work retreat and the Walton Lodge was perfect for us. We enjoyed the scenery, got some work done, and enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped. We wish we were staying longer!

Last Minute Save by Host - Thank YOU

The Host has great communication and saved our Labor Day Weekend plans from a other VRBO that was fraudulent. I had plans made a year in advance and that was all halted, However the quick communication from the host allowed us to save the weekend for 4 families and stay at this property at the very last minute. Thank you again for the quick communication and helpfulness.

We enjoyed our time at Walton’s mountain. The house was very well stocked with all you need in the kitchen. The hot tub was nice. We especially enjoyed watching the bears in the trash can…. Hat was a high lite!

Great place for large families

The stay was great. The adult beds were comfortable. The kids beds in the basement weren’t quite as comfortable. Lots of fun things to do close by. We were 10min from garden of the gods and horse back riding. we were 5 min from ziplines and 1 hr from the top of pikes peak! there is also a train you can get tickets for and the caves 15 min away! the house needed a new grill and some new carpet but the hot tub was clean and great! So was the manager. They had plenty of plates and dishes for our large family of 15 and 2 dogs. We had a grey time.

Great Views-Well stocked-Lots to do

My extended family and I just returned from staying at this awesome lodge! We had a large group with ages ranging from infants-60 years old. There was plenty of room, you could easily fit 20+ people comfortably in this cabin. It’s a beautiful location with lots of wildlife (including bears!). I was a little concerned that there was no central air, as we stayed in July, but it never got too hot with the portable ACs and fans. It was very well stocked, we cooked most of our meals for 3 days there, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and it was even stocked with soap and shampoo. They even have reusable grocery bags in one of the cabinets, which came in handy, because Colorado stores don’t use plastic bags. Loved that there was a washer and dryer we could use, especially since we had a lot of little kids with us. We all loved the hot tub, it was very clean, and the views from the hot tub and back deck are awesome! There also is a nearby jeep trail that we all enjoyed going for walks on and saw some great Mountain Views. There are lots of things to do nearby; it’s really a great location, but we found that some of the locals did not like that we had to drive down their residential street to get to our cabin. The hosts were great, always responded to my messages immediately, checking in and out was super simple. I loved the place, would highly recommend and would definitely stay again!.

Our family has enjoyed Waltons Mountain Lodge and Cottage for many years. The owner and his family live in Arizona. His three daughters “grew up” on the mountain when they were younger, living at the Lodge for 3-4 weeks during the summer and most Christmases. Although we are all grown with families of our own now, we all continue to visit the mountain and stay at the Lodge for a few weeks each summer so our children can experience the same joys we did on the mountain. When you send questions, inquiries and booking messages in the VRBO app, you are communicating with Caitlin who currently lives in Arizona with her husband and two children.

The Walton family has lived on this 100 acre property for three generations and have enjoyed the beautiful views and endless outdoor activities that life on the mountain provides. We are passionate about sharing the beauty of our property with others who wish to experience the beautiful Manitou foothills and look to provide quaint comfortable accommodations for any and all looking to explore the Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs area. We spend time sharing our mountain home with our growing families and making updates, both big and small to the property. We try to keep the property as updated as we can to provide a great experience for all our guests. Thank you for your feedback and continued support of our small family business.

Our property provides a unique experience to those looking to visit the area due to its location. This gives our guests plenty of privacy while also being located just minutes away from downtown Manitou Springs. Both our Lodge and Cottage provide a feeling of being fairly secluded in the mountains of Manitou Springs allowing for our guests to spend their days down in the city, and when that becomes too much, they have the option to retreat back up the hill to the privacy and quiet of the foothills.
