Cleanliness: Your safety is our foremost consideration. we've removed all throw pillows from the beds and replaced them with additional pillows. Linens (duvet covers, sheets, pillowcases and towels/bath matts, living room and bedroom throws) are laundered after each guest checks out. Hard surfaces such as counters, doorknobs, appliances, bathroom porcelain/showers and so forth are cleaned and disinfected. We have switched to individual shower amenities.

The River House is an art filled home for mature adult getaways nestled in the pristine, tranquility of nature. It is your private get away. Experience endless opportunities for exploration, adventure, and performing arts within minutes of the house.
Or perhaps you want to simply settle into a chair at the outdoor table and watch the birds ride the air currents above the Wenatchee River, then barbeque dinner on the Weber grill.
The kitchen has granite/quartz counters, a double granite composite sink set below windows that overlook the river. Glass lit cabinets with under counter lights add a warm glow. To aide with the preparation of your favorite recipes, there is a premium gas cook top, with grill element, and electric oven for accurate baking temperatures. Central air and heat keep you cool as you cook. A corner appliance cabinet is stocked with a selection of small appliances. Cabinets feature easy glide pull out shelves that host a large collection of cooking and baking ware, as well as glass and serving pieces.
A matching granite/quartz custom constructed table/counter for kneading bread and rolling out pies is set on locking casters. The table can be rolled in front of French doors should you wish to dine with a different view. It welcomes chefs of all levels.
Bedrooms have a queen bed appointed with silken, microfiber Comphy Linens, from a small Washington State company, and expansive windows and televisions. Bathrooms have tiled showers, adjustable height heads, stone counters, and heated tile floors.
The home's walls are hung extensively with gallery quality paintings and prints. Ceramic and glass art pieces sit in wall niches and throughout the home. Two leather chairs on rotating bases and a small couch (love seat) offer lovely resting and visiting opportunities in front of a gas fireplace. A walk through the home offers many small, delightful discoveries, like the ammonite inlaid slate fireplace.
The River View House gifts you the perfect, tranquil retreat.

About the host
Hosted by Raye Winters
Having grown up in Leavenworth and its surrounding mountains, we're closing in on completely retiring. Spring 2018 we completed our dream home on the Wenatchee River, a beautiful bike ride or saunter into town for coffee or dinner. We diverged from life's clutter, saving only the items that we most enjoyed and those that supported our hobbies and passions (cooking, time with our daughter's family, hiking, skiing, reading, the arts, travel and ...).
While we further explore the mountains and travel we've decided to make our beautiful and personal home available for others to enjoy with care.

Why they chose this property
This home and the land it is built on has been a special spot to many-- from the early Native Americans who fished the summer and fall run and prepared for winter, to those escaping for a respite from their busy lives. Nestled in the pristine, tranquility of nature it can be your private get away.
The forested and rocky ridge of Icicle juts up from the front entry and the back deck hangs above the river. Wildlife wander through as they go about their daily life, as they have for generations.
Icicle Music Foundation, minutes from the house offers performing venues found in larger cities, yet the trail heads leading into the craggy mountains of the Stuart Range but a 20 plus minute drive away.
Our home is nestled in the best of nature, yet offers endless opportunities for exploring, adventure and cultural and performing arts within minutes.
