Nestled at the end of a shell lined street sits gorgeous Golden Beach! This remote and private beach front property consists of only (4) four townhome residences. There is a heated swimming pool which faces out to the Gulf of Mexico capturing the warm breezes and spectacular views. Each townhome residence has approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of living space, plenty of room for everyone to spread out. You will also find a private garage to safely store your vehicle and / or beach and fishing equipment.
Golden Beach 2 features 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, Sleeps 8.
Enter through the front door and you will find an open concept kitchen, living, dining room area that all look out over the turquoise waters. This townhome is furnished with coastal chic accessories, ensuring a perfect stay! Neutral decor with splashes of turquoise and coral, you know you have arrived to paradise. It has a newer kitchen with granite counter tops, white cabinets, and a breakfast bar with stools. The living room features a sleeper sofa, remote TV, DVD/VCR, CD radio, and wall-to-wall sliding doors to the screened balcony which you can open to let in the wonderful Gulf breezes. There is a half bathroom also located on the main living level. Go upstairs where you will find the 3 bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms. The first guest bedroom has two twin beds and the guest bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The 2nd guest bedroom suite has a king size bed, remote TV/VCR combo, and views looking out onto the Gulf of Mexico. The 3rd guest bedroom suite features two twin beds, and colorful coral decor that does not disappoint. This townhome provides high speed wireless internet, beach chairs, a beach umbrella, beach towels, gas grill, and a hair dryer for your convenience. This is a 'pet friendly' property and the owner will allow you to bring your family dog for an additional fee.

Very nice. Very clean, lovely beach. Things that were not as expected were: no grill (Vrbo listing stated gas grill in a couple of places) and I chose this property in part because it was supposed to have a grillwi fi network name and password were both different from what was emailed to me. When I contacted property manager I was promptly given correct name and password, so it appeared to me this was a known issue, and could have been a non-issue if they had emailed correct infoNot enough drinking glasses

Autumn Beach Getaway

The property was recently renovated in the aftermath of hurricane Ian in 2022. Very few properties are available to rent on the island yet, so you get his beautiful island to yourself. The community is working hard to put everything in order, Mother Nature is already doing her part to fill in the flora and fauna. This condominium provides plenty of room for 6 adults. We were the 3rd guests here since renovation. The furniture is new and the beds are comfortable. This is the 5th time we have rented on Sanibel/Captiva, we’ve stayed in rentals with more appointments, but none had the full view beauty of the beach like this. In addition, the beach is so easy to walk to, with its own path that is shared with the 3 other condos on the property. There is a screened in porch outside the living room sliding doors that is comfortable, but the no-see-ums were out in force and were able to breech the screen, so bug spray is in order. This place is ideal for those people that are looking to spend time on the beach, exactly what our adult family wanted. A great value when you consider how much you can spend elsewhere to have this kind of access to the Gulf of Mexico. There are a few items that are needed to get the unit fully equipped, but they were minor when you consider why you spend a week in the sand and sun.

Disappointing

Very disappointed with our stay. We were only notified the evening before our arrival that our on-the-beach unit wouldn’t be available due to hurricane damage from the prior fall. We were relocated to a house that wasn’t on the beach nor within walking distance, and not something we would have rented if we had any other options. The “recently renovated” house was obviously still under renovation, very disorganized, piled high with rotten garbage, and not very clean. The pool was nice, but didn’t make up for the lack of the beach view. We were allowed to drive to the unit we thought we were renting to use the beach and pool, but there was construction underway and glass scattered about. One broken beach umbrella was available for use at the beach, and no chairs. Most shops were closed and we drove all over trying to find a place to find umbrellas and chairs to buy. All of this should have been disclosed or we should have received a partial refund since the replacement property had a lower rental fee. Property manager responded to my concerns that she couldn’t fix the condos, but did not address the lack of disclosure. Not the relaxing vacation we’d hoped for.

Wonderful Week at the Beach!

On the beach! Clean! Quiet! Comfortable! On the beach! What more could you ask for :) This place was great and would love to rent it again. First, Breakaway Vacations was great to work with...answered all my questions promptly. And, a BIG shout-out to Lisa! You went above and beyond by coming over to the unit to help us out with what was really a minor detail.... but it was a necessary repair! Thanks! You were so pleasant, friendly and kind. Really appreciated your help. Secondly, the unit was beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living areas were very comfortable as were the beds! Everything was just so well-appointed and beautiful. And being on the beach! Just a wonderful way to spend a week. This was our first time back in years and we remembered quickly why we love Sanibel so much! Thanks for a great week!

Amazing Summer Vacation

My family and I rented Golden Beach #2 for the last week in august and we have nothing but good memories. The townhouse was very clean, spacious, and with a stellar location. The beach access was perfect and much closer than expected. The beach itself was lovely; nice white sand and clean blue water with minimal waves. Very peaceful area and not crowded at all. The pool in the complex was very well maintained and was very refreshing after a day at the beach. Dog friendly area we walked our beagle daily through the beach while we searched for seashells and watched the amazing sunsets. Take mosquito repellent for those afternoons where there isn’t much sea breeze, on our last night we were bitten by no-see-um while on a sunset walk but the views were well worth it. The beds could use an update, they crack every time you move or sit but with this location we would gladly sleep on the floor if we had to. Wishing we were back at golden beach right now

Location close to water. Inside disappointing: 1. Ice maker not hooked up 2. Sink stopper nob missing 3. Door lock missing in master bathroom 4. Washing machine had mold and partially dissolved detergent packet on inside window 5. Lint balls sitting on shelf next to washer/dryer If you are being charged a fee for cleaning and extra fee to owner, then more care needs to given when you pay top 💵 for a rental property.

Very nice with a few minor issues. View, location and accommodations were excellent. Outdoor lights not working which is a safety issue due to very dark street and parking area. Master bathroom door and closet wouldn't close. Except for master bedroom, the overhead fans either wouldn't turn on or off. Repairs were not addressed during our stay.

The location was great as was the view. Although there are 2 units in the building, we never heard our neighbors. We saw manatees, dolphins, starfish, rabbits, and even a bobcat! High end touches throughout the unit lend a nice touch, however, some maintenance is required. There was some water damage in the master bath by the shower, the guest bathroom shower curtain needs to be replaced, and the roof needs to be painted. Also, totally unrelated to this property, I wish someone had warned me about the no-see-ums.

Just what we needed

After a long Covid year, Sanibel was the rest and relaxation we all needed. Golden Beach was great. We were SO close to the beach. The downstairs room to hold all the beach supplies was perfect. I would suggest updating the beach chairs. They are getting pretty rusty and the rust comes off on your hands or swimsuit as you carry them down to the beach. The pool was great and we often had it to ourselves. Overall, this was a great stay at a beautiful beach.

Excellent with one caveat

Overall the property and amenities are fabulous, a great location with fabulous views. The only issue or concern I have is with the outdoor tiles by the front door and stairs. They become extremely slippery when wet especially in the morning when dew forms on them.
