A beautiful apartment in a great location

This apartment was perfect! We had a very good experience working with Barbara, who was very attentive and gave us lots of helpful information before our arrival. Our local contact was Isabelle, who was very helpful and friendly. The apartment is only a 2-minute walk from the Perigueux medieval town center and its markets and cafes, yet is also very close to major supermarkets and other shopping. The secured private parking place was a wonderful bonus! The apartment is located in an attractive historic building and has many beautiful architectural touches (original wood floors, high ceilings, crown molding) but has been fully modernized. The property has a very large private terrace, adjacent to a nice kitchen that was fully functional and stocked with all cookware and appliances. The apartment was fully air-conditioned but we did not need to use this, as we simply opened the large French doors & windows and enjoyed wonderful ventilation throughout the property. Even though one of the adjacent streets was busy, the double glazed windows kept the apartment very quiet. We really could not have found a more perfect place! I would highly recommend this apartment! Thanks to Barbara and Isabelle for helping us to enjoy our trip!

Très belle expérience en centre ville

Nous avons séjourné une semaine dans ce magnifique appartement de type Hausmannien, aménagé avec luxe. Un parking est attenant.Nous avons été accueillis par Isabelle, charmante personne prête à répondre à nos questions. L'appartement est situé dans le centre de Périgueux. Nous avons visité cette ville en compagnie d'un guide de l'office de tourisme et nous avons visité "le grand Périgueux".Nous ne pouvons que conseiller cet appartement qui comblera ceux, qui comme nous, souhaitent découvrir la ville et ses alentours.

A true gem in Périgueux

The apartment is spacious, bright and extremely comfortable. Kitchen and living room offer more in cupboards and drawers than we have ever seen before. Everything you could ever ask for is there - and more! The location very close to the center of town, the huge terrace in the back and the private parking behind safe (remote controlled) fences also are important benefits. The noisy rue Victor Hugo is no problem at all as long as you keep the windows and doors on the front side shut: they are all extremely well isolated. Isabella took care of a friendly reception and an immediate solution when wifi would not come on. And of course she is the one behind the incredible cleanliness of this place! We recommend Perigueux and the surrounding area with all it's lovely towns and villages, as well as endless walking opportunities, as one of the most attractive destinations in SW France. The center of town has an extensive pedestrian area with lot's of interesting restaurants spreading over the squares and sidewalks and the saturday market is a delight. Go for this apartment as the perfect place to stay!

Overall very good

Property manager not available and spoke only French. Elderly neighbor who spoke limited English saved us when baggage was delayed for 4 days. Flat generally fine and excellent location with secure parking.

Lovely apartment situated in the heart of Perigeuex.

Lovely apartment situated in the heart of Perigeuex. Clean comfortable with more than adequate amenities. Great patio area for eating and supping wine in the warm and balmy evenings. Apartment can not be faulted. Close to shops and restaurants and a perfect base for visiting the many sites and attractions in the Dordogne. Was able to park my car in safe and secure area behind remote controlled gates. Thoroughly recommended.

Située au centre ville avec un parking privé, cet appartement de grand standing est idéalement situé pour flâner dans les rue de Périgueux. Lovely apartment right in town

We have always normally rented villas in the country with a garden and pool, but this year left it too late to book, and so decided to try an apartment in town. It was a nice change. The apartment was stylishly furnished, and benefitted from AC, which is vital in summer. It has a large south-facing terrace, with shade in the late afternoon from trees, and was well-equipped. It was good to be able to walk the few minutes into town and sample the local cuisine, and everything you need is nearby. The apartment also has private parking, which is essential. Overall we really enjoued the apartment and would definitely recommend it.

Superb high class property with great facilities and within easy access to the city

This was the ideal property for our stay in Perigueux. I was recuperating from full knee replacement surgery and my partner was in need of rest and relaxation. The apartment is a five star property. The rooms are large and well proportioned and the facilities and appliances were top class. We loved the sofa in the lounge which had a mechanism which lifted the front of the furniture up and out to allow us to stretch our legs after a good walk. The terrace is a very good space with loads of cushions etc to fit onto the seats. Lovely for lunch or an early supper. It is ideally placed for a short walk into the historic part of the city and to the main supermarket. Both only a few minutes away. The historic centre of the city is gorgeous with beautifully restored buildings and hidden courtyards. Great shops, restaurants, cafes, bars etc. And, of course, a magnificent byzantine cathedral. Definitely worth visiting. The apartment owner Barbara ( although not onsite) was exceptionally helpful - and patient - throughout the booking process and during our stay. She was available at all times to provide advice and recommendations. Unfortunately because of my knee we couldn't make use of the bikes which are available together with helmets ... although we didn't see any locals wearing helmets whilst cycling! Tennis equipment was also available in the apartment. We were delighted with all aspects of our stay and were only sorry we had to leave! Can't recommend it highly enough.

Quelques jours de rêve !

Un confort parfait dans les moindres détails. C’est bien la première fois qu’il ne me manque rien dans une location ! J’ai pu cuisiner des petits plats car la cuisine est parfaitement équipée. L’appartement disposait de la connexion internet nécessaire pour mon travail. Les nuits dans un très grand et confortable lit, avec un silence parfait, et j’ai dormi comme un bébé. Nous avons bénéficié d'une grande terrasse moderne et confortable et nos soirées barbecue me laissent nostalgique… Détente à l’ombre ou bronzette au soleil, sans problème car sans vis-à-vis, le calme et juste le charme du magnolia et ses douces flagrences pour accompagner la rêverie, parfois dérangée par le bain des palombes : un charme bucolique et pourtant nous étions au bord de l'hypercentre ville avec ses ruelles et ses marchés. Périgueux est très animé, musique, shopping, balades… Et puis, pour le sport j’ai pu accéder au club de tennis car un équipement est mis à notre disposition et nous sommes allés faire des balades en vélo sur la voie verte… Un seul regret : ce séjour était bien trop court ! Sûr, nous reviendrons ! Merci à Isabelle pour son accueil et ses bons conseils.

Bonsoir, Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à la Résidence Victor Hugo : Quel confort de pouvoir entrer la voiture dans la propriété pour accéder directement à l’appartement. Charger la voiture tranquillement la veille était bien pratique car nous prenions la route de bonne heure. Le charme de cette entrée privative et la grande terrasse isolée en plein centre ville, c’est vraiment parfait. A l’intérieur, rien ne manquait à notre confort, un mélange de charme et de modernité qui correspond parfaitement à nos goûts. Sûr, nous prendrons volontier nos habitudes chez vous !
