About this property

Relaxing Retreat In The Woods. Quiet place to unwind yet minutes from town.

Relaxing retreat on 16 acres of woods yet minutes from shopping, restaurants, Lake Monroe and the I.U. stadium. A quiet place to wind down.
The studio is in the woods so you may see or encounter wildlife including deer, opossums, raccoons, coyote, bobcat, snakes and birds as well as bugs. We use pest control on a regular basis but that does not guarantee no pests or bugs will not be visible.

Guests have access to a grill, fire pit and hammock. WiFi is available for your devices. CD player and record player/records are provided. No cable or television. Cell phone service is available if occasionally spotty. There is a security camera on our main residence. It does record but is not monitored 24/7. You will see the camera if you walk up to our main residence.

No cleaning fee.

Kitchenette has a microwave,toaster oven,coffeemaker, electric kettle, espresso machine coffee, tea, refrigerator, blender, dishes and utensils.

Owner does live on the property in a separate residence. I give my guests privacy but if complete seclusion is what you are looking for my place probably isn't for you.

There is a long driveway back to the studio so in the winter months all wheel or four wheel drive is recommended. I keep the driveway plowed but if a snow storm cones through it may take a bit to get a snow plow out to me for service.

Had an amazing time, the place looks amazing and the host definitely thinks of the guests with leaving sweets and how everything is setup. I would definitely go back sometime it's perfectly in the middle of all the places to go and perfect place to go back to after to relax.

Very private and cozy. The owner gave us complete privacy and thought of all the little touches that made our stay even more special! From the locally made sweets, to the robes and the turntable with albums. Everything was just perfect for our stay.

This was just the perfect little getaway for us. The property was easy to find and secluded while only minutes from the city. We really loved playing games and using the record player instead of watching TV. Great experience and would definitely return in the future!

Fantastic stay!

Cannot say enough good things - This place is an absolute gem. Our second time staying, and it was just as great as the first. Everything you would ever need, and it is just around the corner from downtown Bloomington with yummy food and fun shops. We went to the antique mall and had Mother Bear pizza. So fun looking out the big picture window, lots of squirrels, birds, and deer. Will absolutely be coming back again!
