Il fienile dell'Etang des Faures, Ăš un alloggio interamente rinnovato in pietre locali e situato in un incantevole paesino nella pace della campagna del PĂ©rigord. La struttura dispone di una grande piscina di 6 x 12 metri, riscaldata da giugno a settembre, protetta da un allarme e da una recinzione. Una terrazza esposta a sud con barbecue e sedie a sdraio e un giardino alberato completano i servizi del cottage. Da luglio ad agosto l'area piscina Ăš riservata agli ospiti del cottage.
Il cottage Ăš composto da un ampio soggiorno aperto sulla cucina americana, che offre tutti i comfort per trascorrere piacevoli momenti di relax. Il cottage dispone di 5 camere da letto per una capacitĂ  totale di 10 persone, 3 con letti matrimoniali, 1 con due letti singoli e 1 con letto a castello, e 4 bagni con WC, 1 bagno con vasca e WC e 3 con bagno con doccia e WC.

Fantastic holiday home for families to relax

Fantastic time to be had by all in this lovely setting. More than enough room for everyone and the facilities were spot on. Location was wonderful, just near enough to a local bar for a quick sundowner before heading back for a pool side evening. The owners were more than helpful and very good at recommending local eateries. I would highly recommend for those looking to relax. Thank you to you both for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful house but a few issues

Although a little difficult to find, this is a beautiful and peaceful house. The pool is large and worked really well for us, we were 4 adults and 4 children aged between 4-9. Plenty of garden space for the kids to run around and a lovely BBQ area. A couple of disappointments, firstly I must point out that some of the pictures online are not that accurate or at least for us. The main picture looking back at the house from the pool you will see a door opposite the pool with wooden shutters, this is not part of the house that belongs to you but the owners, they don't use this entrance but you could be lead to believe by the promo pictures that this is your entrance / exit and how lovely it is to have a door opening onto the pool area but this is not the case, when we arrived and met the owners, we were told that the AC was not working. luckily the temp had dropped to around 28 for the 2 weeks we stayed but on a couple of nights it was very hot and uncomfortable. Secondly, the lights in the swimming pool were not working. The pictures to promote the house show a beautifully lit up pool at night and we all hoped to enjoy swimming in the late evening which we still managed but it wasn't as nice as we would have hoped. Also there was damage to the first step into the pool and the owners had put 2 plastic chairs at each end of the step (in the water) and we were asked not to remove them, again the pictures of our younger kids sitting on these steps and playing as they have always done in these situations was the same picture as we would have hoped, Overall, a great stay but these few points were disappointing, and we had no word from Vrbo beforehand letting us know. Marc & Pascale are lovely hosts on hand if you need them.

A beautiful property situated in a quiet rural area. We were met by Marc and Pascale on arrival who answered questions and gave advice. Facilities within the gite were perfect for our needs as a family of nine.

Nous avons passĂ© une semaine au mois d’aoĂ»t dans le gĂźte. TrĂšs bon accueil par les propriĂ©taires. Grande piscine (chauffĂ©e jusqu’à 25 degrĂ©s, ce qui peut ĂȘtre juste pour les enfants en bas Ăąge). Grand jardin entiĂšrement clos. Le mobilier extĂ©rieur est trĂšs bien mais celui de l’intĂ©rieur pourrait ĂȘtre amĂ©liorĂ© (literie et robinetterie des salles de bain). PrĂ©sence de rongeur Ă  l’intĂ©rieur de la maison au dĂ©but de notre sĂ©jour.

Un havre de tranquillité...

Une semaine dans la campagne de Dordogne en famille (9 personnes)dans une tres jolie maison bien equipee...Tout le monde (enfants ados et adultes) y a trouvé sa place et ses activités avec le ping pong le badmington la piscine les coins au calme pour bouquiner...un super espace vert pour notre chien...Merci pour vos conseils gustatifs et votre réactivité...

Nous avons passé 2 excellentes semaines dans cette belle maison, nous n'avons manqué de rien. Les descriptions correspondent 1: 1 à ce que nous avons trouvé. La piscine n'est pas seulement bonne pour se rafraßchir, en raison de sa taille, elle est également idéale pour la baignade. Pour les familles nombreuses ou plusieurs familles qui souhaitent passer des vacances ensemble, cette maison est fortement recommandée. La disposition des chambres et les nombreuses salles de bains sont tout simplement idéales pour les familles nombreuses. Pascale et Marc sont 2 hÎtes merveilleux qui étaient immédiatement disponibles et serviables en cas de besoin. Les prochaines vacances en Dordogne seront certainement à nouveau avec vous.

Séjour décevant

Le gĂźte a du charme avec une cuisine bien Ă©quipĂ©e et une grande piscine. Toutefois, les prestations ne sont pas au niveau attendu et les photos sur le site sont un peu trompeuses. La piscine n’était pas chauffĂ©e Ă  notre arrivĂ©e (elle Ă©tait froide et nous ne pouvions pas baigner nos plus jeunes enfants). Nous avons dĂ» insister pour qu’elle le soit alors mĂȘme que l’annonce est claire sur le sujet : piscine chauffĂ©e en juillet et en aoĂ»t. C’était une condition pour nous. Le propriĂ©taire a acceptĂ© de mauvaise grĂące en nous interdisant de toucher Ă  la tempĂ©rature qui devait rester Ă  25 sinon le coĂ»t devenait trop important pour lui
 Le propriĂ©taire a le contrĂŽle des lumiĂšres extĂ©rieures et n’accepte de les allumer que de 21h30 Ă  23h30 Ă  notre charge de prĂ©voir une lumiĂšre d’appoint si nous souhaitons avoir de la lumiĂšre plus tard. La literie est franchement trĂšs moyenne et les meubles de salon plutĂŽt inconfortables. Les cabines de douche des chambres crĂšme et bleue sont hors d’ñge et mĂ©riteraient d’ĂȘtre modernisĂ©es. Il n’y a ni volets ni rideaux occultants donc trĂšs difficile de dormir aprĂšs 7h. Tout est fait Ă  l’économie et c’est dommage alors que le coĂ»t d’une semaine au mois d’aoĂ»t est assez Ă©levĂ©. De maniĂšre gĂ©nĂ©rale, le propriĂ©taire est froid et dĂ©sagrĂ©able. Alors que le Check out est fixĂ© Ă  9h30 et gĂźte dispo jusqu’à 10h, le propriĂ©taire Ă©tait prĂ©sent dĂšs 7h45 pour ranger l’extĂ©rieur et la piscine. Nous n’avons pas pu prendre notre petit dĂ©jeuner dehors car les transats avaient Ă©tĂ© rangĂ©s, la table extĂ©rieure remise Ă  sa place. Nous avons vraiment eu le sentiment d’ĂȘtre poussĂ©s dehors. Le propriĂ©taire devrait revoir son accueil car nous ne sommes pas des machines Ă  faire de l’argent mais des locataires qui ont le droit de bĂ©nĂ©ficier des prestations attendues.

Authentique et convivial

La maison de Marc et Pascale est parfaite pour des retrouvailles en famille. L’espace piscine-barbecue a fait le bonheur de tous. La maison est fraĂźche et agrĂ©able. Des volets seraient un atout supplĂ©mentaire. Marc et Pascale sont d’un accueil trĂšs chaleureux. Mention spĂ©ciale pour la confiture aux prunes de Pascale qui est dĂ©licieuse.

Fabulous family holiday home

Our party of six adults and three children have just spent a fabulous fortnight at this rural location. This roomy property is set in a quiet, little hamlet and benefits from a spacious garden and a magnificent heated swimming pool - the pool has a limited depth of 1.3m which made it very safe for the three young children in our party. The house is provided with many facilities and has the luxury of a dishwasher. This area of The Dordogne is beautiful and local towns and supermarkets are just a short drive away. A big thank you to the owners, Marc and Pascale, who were extremely helpful and very welcoming. We would highly recommend this property. John, Lynne and family from England.

TrĂšs belle location au calme

Nous avons passĂ© un magnifique sĂ©jour en PĂ©rigord, et avons particuliĂšrement - et les enfants en tĂȘte - apprĂ©ciĂ© la trĂšs belle et grande piscine, et Ă©galement le fait qu'elle ait une profondeur limitĂ©e (env. 1m30, presque tous les enfants avaient pied)! La location est au calme, Ă  l'exception peut-ĂȘtre de la chambre se trouvant au plus proche de la route, oĂč malgrĂ© un trafic trĂšs faible il circule parfois des vĂ©hicules bruyants qui passent trĂšs prĂšs de la façade... La maison est spacieuse et a pu accueillir sans problĂšme les deux familles que nous Ă©tions (4 adultes, 5 enfants). Comme la mĂ©tĂ©o Ă©tait de notre cĂŽtĂ©, nous avons pu nous tenir sur la belle terrasse, juste en face de la piscine, pour presque tous les repas. L'espace salon met Ă  disposition foule de romans, livres, jeux, etc., que nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ©. Par contre, le canapĂ© et les deux fauteuils ne sont pas forcĂ©ment Ă  l'Ă©chelle d'une location pour 9 personnes. Les contacts prĂ©alables avec le propriĂ©taire Ă©taient tout Ă  fait agrĂ©ables, mĂȘme s'il a fallu quelques dĂ©lais pour obtenir un contrat en bonne et due forme. Au final, nous recommanderions cette location, nous y avons passĂ© une trĂšs agrĂ©able semaine!

Relaxing Family Holiday

We are a family of five; our children's ages are 15, 12 and 7. We stayed in August 2016 and we thoroughly enjoyed a most relaxed stay in this property. Our children enjoyed the spacious garden, the table tennis and the lovely heated swimming pool. The property is situated in a splendid part of the beautiful Dordogne complete with Sunshine, great food, sight-seeing, canoeing and a few family trips to the local towns for some light retail therapy, made during busy market days. Our hosts had everything arranged prior to our arrival. We found their unobtrusive attention to our needs to be just perfect. Graham and Caroline, from Chichester, England.

Beautiful holiday house

Great rural location, beautiful house and garden. Pool was fabulous, perfect for enjoying the sunshine and relaxing. Facilities very good for 2 families holidaying together. We would highly recommend this property.

Very good

We spent a very enjoyable week at Marc and Pascale's house in l'Etang des Faures. The house is spacious with plenty of room for our extended family. The heated swimming pool is excellent and the extensive garden was ideal. We were given a very warm welcome by the owners.
