About this property

Rocky Top Guesthouse on the River

Complete your stay with a magnificent view of the Mississippi River from this private guesthouse sitting high on the bluff. It is located only 1.2 miles from downtown, historic Hannibal where there are restaurants and shops, visitor attractions and parks.

2020 RENOVATIONS include removal of old wallpaper and popcorn ceilings and new paint in living room, kitchen and bathroom which fives the house a much fresher look. The guesthouse has been newly decorated.
870 square feet all to yourself! The bedroom has a NEW king bed and an oscillating fan on the dresser. There is also a queen bed in the living area. A privacy curtain is in place which can provide some separation from the living room. There are stairs leading to the entrance of this house from the parking area. There is a sizable deck with patio table and chairs. There is also a bench for sitting on to watch the barges and river boats go by. There are two lounge chairs on the deck also. A propane gas grill is available for outdoor grilling.

The guest house is separate from the owner’s house and there is no access to the garage area below the guest house.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here at the guest house! Check-in was a breeze, view is absolutely gorgeous and the host was super friendly! The guest house was clean and had everything we needed! Would highly recommend!

Carol and Ted have a very enjoyable place to retreat, refresh, and invigorate. They are very generous and thoughtful in ensuring we had everything needed to enjoy our little getaway. We love how they are pet friendly and provide necessary items to clean up afterthe pets they allow. We were able to grill as well as use their accessory loaded kitchen to cook our meals. Their idyllic place is centrally located to everything we wanted to see and travel to.We give them an A for their superb hospitality.

Rocky Top is wonderful! The view is beautiful and the deck is perfect to enjoy it. The house was immaculately clean with lots of amenities that make guests feel at home and well-cared for. Communication with the host was very easy and thorough. Rocky Top will go on our list of favorite places to stay!

Great place for a relaxing weekend in Hannibal. Close to downtown but with incredible bluff views. Several Eagles flew by along with a few lazy barges carrying goods. I would definitely recommend.
