Fully equipt kitchen above and a kitchenette in the basement. Laundry room with washer and dryer. An office down below, makeup vanity/desk table with magnified light. Home is well appointed with great access to both big and little cottonwood canyons. Quiet neighborhood with nearby grocery and restaurants. A great alternative to resorts on the mountain.

There was plenty of space for all of us (3 adults and 3 teenagers). The neighborhood is quiet and very close to the mountains. There was also shopping close by. The owners are friendly and quick to respond.

Amazing Place - Perfect Location

Best VRBO we've ever stayed at - perfect location for skiing, beautiful views, nice house, downstairs "apartment" that my kids absolutely loved . . . and then there were the small things - the discount card to grocery store, the induction cooktop, the grill on the deck. I'd move here if I could!!

Great location for skiers

This house is very close to both Cottonwood canyon entrances making it ideal for skiers to get to Solitude, Brighton, Alta and Snowbird. Grocery store just a couple of minutes away so all very convenient.

Great spot for a ski week-location perfect for Alta/Snowbird

Jan was very attentive to question we had about the area and getting around. The house is very conveniently located-close to the ski bus route if needed. Getting up to Alta and Snowbird was an 18 min drive. The house was plenty spacious for our family of 4. We will be back again!

Beautiful

We had a great time staying at this property. It was clean and in a nice safe neighborhood where we could walk every morning and get to the grocery store easily. Easy to navigate and get to/from downtown as well! Jan and Nate were very friendly giving us suggestions and tips to make our stay enjoyable. Would absolutely stay here again.

If you’re a visitor to the ski resorts this is a perfect place to stay. The things most important to me in a VRBO is cleanliness and communication. The host was perfect with both and the location is absolutely amazing and beautiful. Going out the front door to view. The Wasatch mountains is really amazing. We will be back.

In a great spot - Recommend !

Overall we were very pleased with the house. Owner / Manager communicated very well with me. Although there a few minor items that needed some attention (TLC). The house was close to everything and everything seemed to work fine. I would definitely come back there for our family trip next year.

Great place to stay for a ski vacation

I stayed with my adult son at Jan & Nate's Sandy property for three nights in March, skiing at Alta. The place is very comfortable, clean, and very well equipped -- we didn't really cook, but we easily could have. Jan's communication was excellent. Gorgeous mountain views in both directions, but especially out the front windows. But really the best feature is the location. It's very convenient to the airport, grocery store, shops and restaurants, and it was an easy 20 minutes from the driveway to the Alta parking lot, even on a weekend, and a few minutes less to Snowbird. I was a little worried that it would be a hassle not staying right on the mountain, but it worked out perfectly. Would definitely stay there again if we plan another Alta trip.

Ideal location for skiing

This property was perfect for accessing Alta and Snowbird, shopping for necessities, and going to a movie or relaxing after a busy day. It was impeccably kept and well-stocked with towels, extra blankets, extra pillows, games, books, etc. The kitchen is well-equipped with new appliances and all the glassware, dishes, silverware, pots and pans, and miscellaneous items one would need on a short vacation. The kitchen is large enough that there is a table for four providing plenty of room for eating or using laptops in a separate area from the living room. Given that there is no washer/dryer availability, a nice touch is a drying apparatus in one of the bedroom closets that was very useful and effective in drying our wet gloves and neck warmers after skiing. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with a beautiful view from the living room of the nearby mountains. Due to the cold and snow, we were not able to utilize the deck and grill, but the deck is large and welcoming. There are no homes directly behind the property, so the deck is quite private. Jan was very helpful with suggestions that made our first time visit to Alta easier than it otherwise would have been and responded promptly to any questions we had. My husband and I would definitely return to this property whether for skiing or any other season.

Why they chose this property

Our family loves to ski, hike, bike and golf. We also love the beautiful mountains. The Wasatch Mountains change from white in the winter, green in the spring and orange in the fall.

What makes this property unique

You can be skiing on the slopes in approx. 20 minutes and the house is close to restaurants and shopping. The Expo Convention Center is right down the street.
