About this property
Prince Edward County-A Ferry Ride Away, 2 Bedroom Waterfront Cottage Rental.
This funky little cottage is decorated in bold Mexican colours, furnished mainly with antiques and its walls are decorated with artifacts from around the world.
There is a queen sized bed in the master bedroom which has french doors overlooking the lake and an en suite doorway to the bathroom. There is a double bed and dresser in the cheerfully decorated second bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized fridge and antique looking Elmira woodstove electric range. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything needed to prepare a meal or BBQ with and is also equipped with an antique hosier. The 3 piece bathroom has a shower, Mexican sink, counter top and toilet The 32 foot deck extends 12 feet out towards the water which is only 15 feet away. Enjoy sunrises, morning coffee, reading, watching the ducks, geese and swans swim by or enjoy morning yoga, on the deck, right outside your door. The man-made, sandy beach ends at the waters edge, and the gravel bottom lake takes over from there so please bring water shoes. The gradually slopping boat launch is suitable for any water craft to be unloaded at and a 24 ft dock to park your play toys at during the day. If you are short on your own play toys, there are a kayak and a 14ft fiberglass canoe to use.
Bass Cove is a quiet dead end road so bring your bikes and enjoy the loop and friendly quiet neighborhood. It is 12 minutes from the Glenora Ferry which gets you to Prince Edward County, the Sandbanks, Bloomfield's eclectic shops and the many wineries and micro breweries in the area. It is only 40 minutes to downtown Kingston if you should fancy a night out or 25 mins to Napanee or Picton. Both communities are also easily accessible by boat.

About the host
Hosted by Marta Lambert
We are a couple of empty nesters who are eagerly transitioning into "early retirees" and avid travelers. As such, we are finding that we don't really need a full-time residence all year long and are able to share our comfortable, eclectic little cottage. We love to camp and travel in the summer in our 1974 VW Westy, with our two affectionate Dalmatians, so our cottage is available for others to enjoy. We are veteran hosts, as we previously owned a 5 bedroom house with 2 one bedroom apartments at our home in Prince Edward County. We will typically greet guests when you arrive for your week long stay, make sure you are comfortable and equipped with all that you need and then we will quietly retreat to or tipi at the back of the property to pack and leave for our own adventures.
Why they chose this property
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! The true beauty of our cottage is its diversity! It's man-made beach, boat launch, dock and included play toys make it unnecessary to leave the property. However, its proximity to "The County" , Napanee and Kingston mean that day trips, for whatever you fancy, are minutes away. You can boat to Picton in 15 minutes, or take the quaint Glenora ferry only a 12 minute drive away.
What makes this property unique
Our humble cottage is the full-time residence of a couple of professionals, striving to get out of the rat race. The cottage is our expression of the tiny house movement. It has been furnished with the favourite items from our two larger homes and we have made comfort, practicality, beauty and our environmental foot print, priorities.
