Our commitment to your Comfort:
This is a dream getaway, offering breathtaking views, lots of sunlight, and comfortable space for family and friends to truly enjoy an escape to the Rocky Mountains!
BEDROOM 1: Sunset Suite:
The ground floor provides a separate entrance, offering complete privacy in this newly remodeled sanctuary. You’ll enjoy a stunning king size bed, wood floors, flat screen TV, new mini fridge with a freezer, microwave, and coffee maker.
Included is a new Spa-like bathroom with radiant floor heating, tile/glass walk in shower, and a spacious vanity. All bathrooms provide plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and a hairdryer. We’ve included a grab bar so any aged couple can enjoy this first floor space.
Looking out through the treetops, the rest of the home is on this level with 3 more bedrooms including a split master:
BEDROOM 2: The Mountains are Calling…Master:
This is the private master and the largest bedroom in the house with a new Serta Ultra Luxury King Sized bed, flat screen TV, and mountain loving décor. There is an attached master bath, double vanity, tub and shower, with another awesome view of the Notch and Kruger Rock from the window! Plenty of space to unpack and feel at home as you kick back in your own private haven within the Retreat.
* From the front door, the home takes a slight jaunt to the left, and you will realize that this angle is designed for the two bedrooms on this wing of the home to take in the best views possible.
BEDROOM 3: Fisherman’s Folly:
Straight ahead you will enter the third king sized bedroom with a huge walk in closet. This is Fisherman’s Folly, inspired by the work of our favorite Front Range artist, Barney Jensen, as he captures in watercolor, the solitude and bliss of fly-fishing our beloved Big-Thompson river!
Maybe you will be inspired to take advantage of the many fly-fishing tours in Estes (for at least a half day) or linger longer here in comfy linens. This room is highlighted by breathtaking views of Longs Peak, a perfect place to enjoy the night starlight.
BEDROOM 4: Nature’s Nest:
A room that boasts a comfortable queen, quaint seating area, and views among the treetops.
Though this is the only room with a queen bed, its serene backdrop and thoughtful touches allow you to slip away with your coffee in the morning, smiling to yourself as you indulge in the best views of the home!
Observe nature, especially the Hummingbirds, Blue Jays or Nuthatch (they love the spruce out the window), in this cozy space, or pull down the blackout shades (in every bedroom) and ignore time as you take in the fresh mountain air.
These two bedrooms share a newly remodeled bathroom with radiant heated, tiled floor, new tub and tile shower surround with built in nook, and plenty of space to hang up everyone’s towels.
Entrance and Great Room:
As you enter the home, your eyes will be drawn to the newly laid slate tile in the entry. The natural stone will take your eyes up to the octagon shaped great room, encapsulated by the large picture windows this space provides an outlook to the rocks and nature that abounds outside; Deer (twin fawns last season), Elk, Cooper's hawks, and a family of chipmunks visit daily.
This unique design, will give everyone a place to gather and relax after a fun-fulfilled day of exploration. With oversized leather chairs and couches, everyone will have a comfy spot to rest, soak in the ambiance from the remote controlled fireplace, or simply enjoy a great view of the curved big screen TV(Netflix and DVD player) as the moss covered stone fireplace provides the perfect backdrop.
Fully Equipped Kitchen:
Too many cooks in the kitchen? Not here. Some of our favorite memories from the retreat come in the large, well stocked kitchen. We love to cook together, our daughter is the baker, so we have set up the kitchen with all of the gadgets and utensils needed to make any meal, or dessert! If you choose to be the martyr and load the dishwasher, just wait until you see the view from the window above the sink, it is certainly in the running for best view in the house. For a special memory maker, there is a separate pancake griddle built into the counter. We have left all of the fixin’s for pancakes your first morning if you’d like!
• Bosch Dishwasher
• LG Fridge with cold water and ice dispenser
• Electric oven/stove top
• Built in separate griddle
• Fully stocked with all pots, pans, utensils, baking and grilling supplies
• Enough coffee, pancake supplies, basic oil, spices, condiments to get you started!
• Weber gas grill on back patio
*There is a full sized Washer and Dryer, located on way to the Kitchen, with detergent, extra towels and linens.
The dining room is attached to the kitchen, so there is space to gather in conversation with the cooks. Notice another watercolor from Barney Jensen that inspired our custom built cedar farm table where everyone can join in celebration and break bread together. Enjoy the sun streaming through yet another set of picture windows, making this the brightest room in the house. Spruce and mountain views abound with seating space for all 8 to enjoy stories and laughter.
We encourage you to gaze across the trees as the sun peeks over the peaks or enjoy the rockers just outside on the deck to enjoy your morning coffee!
This room hosts a special wine and coffee bar nook.
• Massive Breville Blender
• Coopers Cooler
• Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker and French press
• Glasses and bar supplies for all needs
Bear’s Den, fun and outdoor space:
Just off of the octagon shaped family room and kitchen is a den with the sliding door to the back deck with our Weber gas grill. Our Bear’s den is the perfect spot if someone wants a quiet place to kick back and read, we have many books and games on the shelves, there is a desk if someone needs to get a little work done, (fast WIFI throughout home) or just a great place for a puzzle. Really it’s a fun Kid’s Cave... a perfect place for young ones to hang out, or we’ve set up the garage with a full size air hockey and ping pong table. The views from the garage are spectacular as well, and it may give the adults some needed peace and quiet time or another fun place to enjoy your evening playing together.
As you start the grill on the back deck, take a few folding chairs with you (provided) as you discover the hidden rock stairway up to a flat perch above the house, which gives a new tree top perspective as your grill heats up.
You’ll see our hammock up here and realize you could steal away tomorrow for a short snooze in nature!
Lastly, there is a wraparound deck on the front of the house hosting the most spectacular views! We have built a 10 foot bartop/eating counter along the deck railing so everyone can eat outdoors and enjoy the incredible views, looking out to the peaks!
*Excellent Cell Phone coverage at house. High speed internet throughout home.
**NOTE: Because we look out to through the trees, there are stairs to get to the main level of the home. There are three different entries with sets of stairs to gain access to the main floor. The indoor stairway has a double railing and 14 stairs (My husband’s 90 year old father prefers this way). The deck to the front door has a landing with a great view, if a breath is needed, and there is an easier slope to stairs through the back door.
We understand how important this time away can be, and we know that your experience at Estes Treetop Retreat will help enhance your memories of the top notch vacation you deserve!
