The view from this unit can’t be beat. We worked our dinner schedule around the two hours before sunset to watch the surfers and the turtles. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep every night. The kitchen is fairly well equipped though an outlet didn’t work so we moved the coffee maker. It would be nice to have a bigger pan to cook on even for just the two of us. We like easy one pan meals! But otherwise the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and the unit is well equipped with beach chairs and towels. Thank you! This is a very comfortable unit with an awesome view!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Surf Song and would recommend to those looking for a spot with excellent views and easy access to The Beach House Restaurant. Highlights -- a) beautiful lanai spot with views of sea turtles and surfers all day! b) good parking availability. c) large panoramic window views of ocean and sunset. d) owners provided beach equipment which was extremely helpful (although one of the umbrellas seemed damaged). e) when we arrived there was a wedding out the side window at the Beach House with loud music BUT the community has quiet hours that is honored by the restaurant which was great. f) responsive host when contacted. Feedback -- a) perhaps we misread the original listing, but we were under the impression the unit had a washer/dryer for laundry. Turned out not to be the case and although there was one community unit on each floor of the complex, we ended up paying 40 to do laundry during our stay (quarters are not easy to come by BTW). b) for the first half of our stay we battled wasp nests right in front of the entry door, this was a pain and safety issue for our kids. c) the main bedroom was not as described in the photos. d) the oven needs to be properly cleaned; we made pizza one night and the oven smell was so bad we flat out stopped cooking during the trip. e) for the money we spent, we would have liked it if the bath towels did not have a bunch of stains in them. f) multiple windows screens were missing, so we could not open those windows.

So glad you had a fabulous time at Surf Song. We had never encountered a wasp nest before, and sent Robert up immediately to destroy it for you, so should not have been a problem. Cleaning personnel have been reminded to particularly make sure the oven is thoroughly clean at all times. And thank you for your kind words.

The views from the room was astonishing. Watching and meeting the young local surfers made it a fun stay. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. The beach supplies were great.If I were to make suggestions, the master mattress was a bit worn. Since the balcony is a key piece of the stay, I suggest better furniture. The tall table only had one chair (there were backless stools in kitchen but not comfortable for dining or the right height. The other item that would be helpful are some hooks on the outside wall at balcony to hang towels from the beach. All in all, it was a fantastic stay

The host was good at keeping in contact. I suggested a few improvements after we arrived and he came over and checked them out. The apartment was a little worn, but the location and view were GREAT.

The view from this little condo is amazing, we had so much fun watching the surfers and turtles. It's right next door to The Beach House which we went to for dinner and drinks during our stay. The beds are very comfortable and there is a closet full of beach gear for guests to enjoy.

Beautiful views, great property

The property was as advertised, with beautiful views and the amenities we needed. Washer-dryer are in the building but plan ahead if you want to use them because it's not open 24 hours. The beaches within walking distance were OK. Better beaches are within short driving distance and a mall with lots of places to eat is within a 15 minute walk

We fell in love with Kauai almost 20 years ago on our very first trip, when we visited our daughter Debi and our three delightful young grandchildren in Poipu. They had just moved into a new oceanfront home located right across a small bay from The Kuhio Shores Condominium building. We have since often spent time on Kauai, and have purchased several different condos in Poipu over the years, all of them special, but the most spectacular without a doubt is Surf Song. We are thrilled to welcome others to share it with us, and love to hear the many stories of our guests' special experiences while enjoying the rare opportunity to spend a few days in Surf Song Condo.

Surf, sunsets, and sunshine, all enjoyed in Surf Song. Guests agree that Surf Song is the "Best Location in Poipu and on Kauai" for its proximity to the surf and famous sunsets over the water. There is really no down season. Surf Song is usually booked solid throughout the year!

Whales, dolphins, and so many sea turtles can be enjoyed in their seasons from your couch!

Some of Kauai's best snorkel, surf spots, and white sand beaches are all right here. A gorgeous lawn borders your view of the waves, the ocean, and sunsets!
