Antas vacation rentals

This complex has it all - proximity to the beach (unfortunately, I was there during mid-December), but it has an outdoor pool, and indoor heated pool and exercise equipment. It is a new project so people are only starting to move in and it will get more occupied as time goes on so I was lucky to be there now. The first floor flat was more than adequate and the kitchen worked well. I'll be back for certain!

The villa was very well planned, the bedrooms and the living room were separated, the living room voices did not come into the bedrooms, all bedrooms had their own bathrooms and there was also a shared toilet, the pool was warm, but the weather was bad, restaurants nearby, grocery stores a short drive away, everything was great except the weather :), Thank You Gilles and Joelle!

It was a very special time for us to be in Fatima’s “A Casita” for our winter rental of nearly 3 months. The house is one of the most attractive we’ve rented during almost 50 years of travel. It has everything in the ways of convenience and need--- light, roominess, comfortable furnishings, exceedingly well-stocked kitchen, large bathrooms, washing machine and dryer, reliable high-speed internet, private parking. Too, there are delightful hangings and a wonderful variety of objects all around the house. And to start every day, while making coffee in the morning you’re treated to watching the sun rise over the forever green field below. The area is a hiker’s delight with many, many trails along the ocean coast and rivers and in the nearby hills and mountains. The entire region, in fact, is richly filled with varied villages, towns, and landscapes. Viana do Castello is the close go-to city, and other cities of historical significance, attractiveness, markets, and shops are not very far away: Ponte de Lima, Caminha, Valenca, Esposende, Barcelos, Braga, Guimaraes. Added to all of this is Fatima’s kindness, thoughtfulness, and helpfulness. Simply put: our entire stay, day after day, was pure pleasure.

Sophie, communicated with me very well. Google took us to the wrong location and she sent new directions and waited for us. We were driving and had a car but there was always parking available on the street below. The building has a lift for getting up to the apt. Previous reviews are accurate. We would stay again.

If you're looking for a little seaside village in Northern Portugal to escape to, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to rent. This is a good place for a couple and 2 kids. This is a ground floor unit which means there is a GENEROUS sized enclosed terrace with sitting areas, umbrella and grill. And there is one subterranean parking space. Rooms: There is one large bedroom with a queen/full sized bed. This master bedroom has its own sliding doors to the terrace. The second bedroom is small with a twin sized bed and another bed that pulls out. The washer is in a closet in this small room (I did not use). Both rooms have good sized closets. Bathroom: there is one large bathroom with a sink, toilet, bidet and LARGE tub/shower combo. Living Area/Kitchen: The main living and eating area is a kitchen and living room that you enter from the door to the unit. The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, oven, Nespresso machine, electric kettle, stove, dishwasher and sink. The kitchen has sufficient quantities of dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and other cooking supplies. There is a square dining table with four chairs. The living area has a good sized couch and concave TV. Utilities: The TV has lots of choices, even some English speaking shows with Portuguese subtitles. The wifi was excellent. There is no A/C or central heat in the unit although a plug in heater is provided if needed. Things to do: The unit is basically 2 city blocks away from the beach and ocean and the restaurants and bars in the heart of Apulia. There is some outstanding places to eat. 'Nuff said. Getting there: This was a bit tricky at first. It didn't help that I came in late at night from Porto in a serious rain and wind storm. I highly recommend using Google Maps to navigate your way; Apple Maps was not very useful or accurate. Owner: Ricardo was patient and awesome. I had so many questions that I couldn't figure out how to use. Make sure to connect with him on WhatsApp before you get there. But he was able to walk/talk me through what I needed and I'm grateful. Overall, this was a great place to stay (I was there for one week), and I will be back looking to get this place again. I highly recommend this place!

We have traveled to Portugal several times and it has drawn us back once again. This time we have found an oasis on the outskirts of Viana. The house has beautiful views of the ocean and countryside, not to mention the lovely gardens and accommodations. There is easy access to the property and the great ocean beaches nearby to walk, swim and to enjoy great sunsets. As enthusiastic hikers, we were delighted to find the Coastal route to Santiago de Compostela passes by the house. Jose and his family made us feel welcome from the start with many special touches to make our stay delightful. Some rental homes lack character and charm, but we knew from time of arrival that House of the Fountain was special. We hope to make a return visit. Thank you Jose Howard and Giselle from Canada
