Mooie gerestaureerde villa met zwembad en prachtig uitzicht

Villa Casciano is een prachtige, onlangs gerestaureerde villa met zeer ruime accommodatie en kwaliteitsmeubels en accessoires. Het huis ligt op het zuiden en biedt veel privacy, maar op loopafstand van een prachtig middeleeuws dorp op een heuvel. Het huis heeft een prachtig uitzicht, mooie tuinen, terras en een verwarmd zwembad (10 x 5 meter). Accommodatie bevindt zich op alle drie de verdiepingen van het pand. Het huis beschikt over originele oude balken en deuren, metselwerk, smeedijzeren en cotto vloeren en plafonds. Het huis heeft een grote keuken, eetkamer, tv-kamer, speelkamer, 6 grote slaapkamers met nieuwe bedden en beddengoed, dubbele hoogte plafonds en een panoramisch uitzicht. De badkamers zijn nieuw uitgerust met hoogwaardig Italiaans sanitair, tegels en kranen.

Er is een eethoek buiten met een prachtig uitzicht, overdekt door een pergola en een groot tweede terras en een zithoek, met een panoramisch uitzicht op het landschap. Het huis heeft een grote, vlakke, beschutte tuin met gras eromheen en een grote parkeerplaats die plaats biedt aan maximaal 6 auto's. Het zwembad kan worden bekeken vanuit de keuken ramen en deuren, waardoor het veilig is voor kinderen. Het huis is toegankelijk via een eigen, nieuw gebouwde oprijlaan.

Skiën: Skiën is beschikbaar in het nabijgelegen Sibillini-gebergte, op 40 minuten rijden van de villa. Lokale skigebieden met skiliften voor kinderen en volwassenen en après-ski faciliteiten zijn beschikbaar

Stranden en watersporten: Verschillende typisch Italiaanse badplaatsen liggen op 30+ minuten rijden van de villa. Deze bieden leuke winkels, bars en restaurants. Sommigen hebben de blauwe vlag-status gekregen voor netheid. De rustige zandstranden worden goed beheerd en een kleine vergoeding voor ligbedden, enz. Watersporten, duiken, enz. Zijn in veel resorts beschikbaar. Een indrukwekkend waterpark ligt op 30 minuten rijden.

Restaurants: Er zijn veel uitstekende restaurants in de omgeving, van goedkoop tot restaurants voor een speciale gelegenheid. Al het eten en de wijn is typerend voor de regio en de service is uitstekend.

Er zijn ook verschillende wijngaarden in de buurt die goedkope wijn- en voedselproeverijen organiseren voor gezinnen en kleine groepen en waar uitstekende lokale wijnen kunnen worden gekocht voor kortingsprijzen.

Macerata, een historische universiteitsstad ligt op 15 minuten rijden. In de top zes beste plaatsen om te wonen in Italië, beschikt Macerata over vele restaurants, bars, trendy winkels, historische gebouwen, musea en galerijen. Het heeft ook een bruisende wekelijkse straatmarkt.

Er zijn ook veel heuveltop steden en dorpen te bezoeken binnen 5 mijl van het huis, allemaal met prachtige oude gebouwen en pittoreske dorpspleinen met coffeeshops, gelateria, bars, restaurants en wekelijkse markten.

Locanda del Cavaliere, in het historische centrum van Petriolo. Geweldige pizza, pasta, salade en lokale wijn tegen een bescheiden prijs. chocoladepizza en entertainment van de obers voor zowel volwassenen als kinderen.

La Perla in Mogliano. Vriendelijke lokale service. Pasta, vlees, salades, Italiaanse desserts en ijs tegen redelijke prijzen.

Le Logge, Urbisaglia. Een gastronomische traktatie voor een speciale gelegenheid. Proefmenu's inclusief typische Marche antipasti, pasta, vlees, groenten en dessert. Uitstekende wijnen.

Osteria dei Fiori. Mooi, schilderachtig, traditioneel restaurant in het historische centrum van Macerata, met eetgedeelte binnen en buiten. Regionale gerechten van hoge kwaliteit, lekker gekookt en geweldige lokale wijnen.

Il Ceppo, Corridonia. Mooie gewelfde plafonds en goed aanbod van pizza, vlees en buffet voor voorgerechten.

La Lambada, Corridonia. Uitstekend familierestaurant voor geweldige prijzen met een uitgebreid menu van voorgerechten, pasta, vlees, vis en dessert. Buiten eethoek om de wereld voorbij te zien gaan.

Abbadia San Claudio, Corridonia. Mooie keuze aan regionale gerechten en lokale wijnen. Een mooie buitenbar tegenover en een abdij om naar te kijken.

Gira Rosta, Loro Piceno. Beroemd om zelfgemaakte pasta; het beste dat je ooit zult proeven. Geweldige service, uitstekend vlees, salades en lokale specialiteiten. Gewelfde plafonds en eerlijk zelfgemaakt eten van de regio.

Villa Cortese, buiten Macerata. Hoogwaardige, prachtig gepresenteerde lokale specialiteiten. U kunt buiten zitten onder een baldakijn in hun mooie Italiaanse tuinen, met linnen tafelkleden en goede wijnen, terwijl de kinderen door de tuinen rennen.

Er is een ruime keuze aan eten winkelen in de omgeving, van kleine lokale, door een familie gerunde winkels tot grote supermarkten. Petriolo zelf heeft 3 kleine particuliere supermarkten waar u alles kunt kopen wat u nodig heeft, of u kunt de grotere supermarkten in Corridonia bezoeken. Petriolo heeft ook een groenteboer, twee slagerijen, een tabakswinkel, kledingwinkel, juweliers, kappers, stationers en een pizza- en pastawinkel om mee te nemen als je niet de moeite hebt genomen om te koken. Petriolo heeft ook twee bars, een met een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht op het landschap.

Great stay

The house is renovated in a very pleasant way. It is spacy and holds what you need. A lovely swimming pool, nice large garden, beautiful view, and very quiet. We had excellent communication with the owner and the local vontact person. Highly recommendable place for a stay for a larger group of people.

Relaxing holidays in a great atmosphere

It was a pleasure to spent a time at Casciano villa. We have great time with our friends and kids (6x adults, 5x kids: 4-10 years old). Pool area, amazing views, beautiful garden, relaxing atmosphere. Silent and nature- if you like it- this is a place for you:) In my opinion kitchen is well equipped, 3 bathrooms are available with shower and bathtubs, with washing machine, villa is really clean. There are a stone stairs inside (for families with small babies it might be challenging). Property owner provided a lot of tips and useful recommendations, at any time we could count on constant support. Thank you :)

fabulous Italian farmhouse break

We were a group of 13 adults and an infant and the farmhouse suited us beautifully . We loved the property , the location and the stunning views. The big dining table was a ht and we shared some lovely meals at it including a delicious 4 courses supplied by max the chef and a wonderful lasagne cooked by him and delivered to us to heat up. we can recommend booking him. Brian was very patient with our numerous questions and arranged a welcome pack for us due to or late arrival on the saturday evening. 10 out of 10 for his help and communication The La marche region was really worth exploring, so many beautiful villages and we had a relaxing day at the coast too. Thank you Brian for sharing your property with us

Wonderful villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Villa Cascaino! The location is excellent for exploring all of the small towns nearby, as well as exploring beach areas on the coast. The house is spacious and the pool is extremely relaxing, particularly on the hot days. The kitchen/dining room area is very large and was able to accommodate our large group. The host and caretaker were incredibly helpful and quick to respond, both in advance of the trip and during it. We had a minor issue with the cleaning that was done in advance of our arrival but it was handled quickly and professionally by the caretaker and the cleaners. The recommendations from Brian for restaurants, markets, etc. were great and we had many amazing meals and experiences. I think the only thing we'd change is updating a couple of the mattresses as some were a bit newer than others. But that certainly didn't impact the enjoyment and tranquility of the villa and the area. If you are looking to see Italy in a less touristy way and unplug, this was an amazing place to do it. Thank you for a great trip!

Holidays in beautiful Villa Casciano

First of all, the description of the villa is very good and to the point but does not depict the really great panoramic views. Brian is a very good host, he provided us with a lot of informations in advance. All in all, this was a very kind contact. The villa itself is in good condition, provides plenty of space and is (especially in the basement floor) very charming. Usability of garden and pool is good. We were three families and enjoyed our holidays as much as possible which means that we had nearly one week of rain. The only negative aspect I can add refers to the access roads. Two of them are in principal usable (gravel roads) but one of them broke down due to the continuous heavy rainfalls. All in all, the villa is a good recommendation for especially a big family or more parties with a good location. Regards T.

Beautiful secluded mansion!

This villa was amazing! View incrediable, even from the toilets. Although weather bit bad first day all 10 us kept ourselves amused within the house, as it was by far big enough with 3 floors! Having the outdoor bbq space and pool to youselves makes it so relaxing. We all walked up to the little village a few times (be warned bit steep and takes around 15/20 mins and a few barking dogs) but village lovely and bars and restaurants nice. There is an exercise course and bowls green for people to use and view from centre village incredible! The house is very well kitted out once you find everything is very relaxing and a home from home. We had a bit of a problem with gas (as in it ran out) and didn't have hot water for 2/3 days but lovely woman came and eventually it all sorted itself out. Apart from going to the supermarket every day we didn't need to leave the villa all week. We flew into Rimini and drove as cheaper and was fairly easy to find. I would definitely go again to this villa in summer or even winter as don't think its too far from ski runs. A very successful holiday place for all ages and all party types.

Can't say enough good things about Villa Casciano!

We were a group of 13 cyclists coming from California to ride and enjoy the Italian countryside. I had never used VRBO before and was a little unsure. Brian's Villa Casciano looked amazing in the photos; could it really be that lovely? IT IS and is even better in person. Everything was as advertising on the VRBO site. The bedroom/bath situation worked out great and the open kitchen and dining room was perfect for our large group. The yard and pool are gorgeous and the views amazing. We enjoyed walking (30 minutes max) into the neighboring town of Petriolo where we ate delicious pasta and did a little marketing (we bought most of our groceries in Corridonia). Food and groceries in this area are so much less expensive than in the bigger cities like Florence and Rome. Last but not least, the cycling was awesome. Even though the roads are a little narrow, motorists are used to cyclists and gave us plenty of room when passing and even waited until it was safe to pass! The only down side, as cyclists, was the long, gravel, at times 12% grade, driveway to the villa. For sure that helped our biking skills! Thanks Brian for providing us with a wonderful place to enjoy our Italian adventure. We would love to return to your villa. Ciao!

Fijn verblijf in Villa Casciano

Samen met onze kinderen hebben wij een heerlijk verblijf gehad in Villa Casciano. De villa ligt midden tussen de zonnebloemvelden op een zeer rustige locatie met prachtige uitzichten. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien, er is ook een gas BBQ aanwezig in de schuur waar wij dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt. In de slaapkamers staan bedden met een goed matras. Er waren problemen met de Wifi. Onze contact persoon heeft er alles aangedaan om die te verhelpen, wat helaas niet is gelukt. De weg ernaar toe is even zoeken. Het bordje van de villa zou zichtbaarder (hoger) opgehangen kunnen worden, de afslag naar het huis is n.l. niet makkelijk te vinden. De weg ernaar toe is vrij stijl, met name het naar boven rijden vanaf de villa is een uitdaging als je geen vierwielaandrijving hebt. Het dorpje Petriolo heeft een erg leuk dorpsbarretje, ook een bezoek aan Tenuta Murola Cantina ( een wijngaard) is de moeite waard. In de omgeving zijn verschillende restaurantjes te vinden o.a. La Perla in Mogliano is een aanrader! Kortom, een fijne plek om vakantie te vieren. Yvonne en Jan Willem.

House with a great pool and magnificent views.

We hade a great stay in the villa during 9 unusually hot days in June. The fans in the bedrooms were definitely needed. We were 3 families 6 adults and 7 teenagers between 16-19. At the outdoor eating area we had both breakfasts and many home cooked dinners. The kitchen was quite well equipped and it was great with 2 ovens when we were so many. The slow two slice toaster was on the other hand a nuisance in the mornings. There was also something wrong with the electricity in the kitchen area because if you were bare foot and touched the dish-washer or the oven handle you felt a sting of electricity. We mentioned this on our second day at the house and were told that an electrician would come and fix it but it was not sorted in the 9 days we were there. No cleaning of the house or the pool during the whole time either which should have been done once a week according to the ad. Still we would recommend this house which is located beautifully overlooking an open hilly landscape.

Un séjour très agréable

La maison est très confortable, calme au milieu de la campagne, mais permet de multiples visites à 100 km à la ronde. Toutefois le chemin d'accès (le plu efficace par Petriolo, sinon le gps vous perd dans la campagne) est un peu pénible: il faudrait un sérieux élagage des haies pour éviter les rayures sur les véhicules. Dans la propriété elle-même le petit virage d'accès en pente avant la maison devrait être garni de macadam: heureusement il a fait beau, et nous n'avons eu droit qu'à de la poussière, mais en cas de pluie...?. L'arrivée s'est déroulée comme prévu, i-e en suivant les instructions du propriétaire sans personne à l'accueil. Mais nous aurions aimé qu'un correspondant local s'informe de notre arrivée (comme cela s'est passé dans d'autres locations précédentes) et des problèmes éventuels! Même chose au départ. On laisse les clefs à l'endroit indiqué, mais personne ne s'inquiète de savoir si vous êtes parti, et si vous avez des remarques à faire . Nous avons arrosé plusieurs fois les fleurs (malgré l'arrosoir percé et le pistolet d'arrosage détérioré) et laissé la maison très propre, mais sans témoin pour le constater (quid de la caution?). Nous aurions pu signaler d'autres détails, comme une rampe d'éclairage dans le séjour qui ne fonctionnait pas (ainsi qu'une applique murale), le manque de ventilation dans la salle de bain du rez-de-chaussée, le nombre insuffisant de verres (ne serait-ce que pour l'esthétique du spritz) et de poêles à frire (une seule pour huit ou plus, l'attente des oeufs sur le plat et du bacon pourrait briser de vieilles amitiés dès le matin), le reste de l'équipement étant très complet. Tous ces petits inconvénients n'entament pas pour autant la satisfaction que nous avons éprouvée de ce séjour dans cette maison de Petriolo. A recommander.

Beautiful house in the countryside

We were a group of 6 adults + 5 children, and loved our stay at Villa Casciano, in the beautiful Marche’s countryside. The house is charming and comfortable, and provides generous space for large groups; the swimming pool and the garden are very pleasant and the views are beautiful! Contact with Brian was very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended!

Prachtig uitzicht

Huis ligt werkelijk waar prachtig, je kijkt mooi weg op de zonnebloemvelden. Heerlijk zwembad, fijne keuken om met veel mensen in te koken. Laatste stuk onverharde weg vraagt wel wat stuurkunsten. We hebben wel wat kussens voor op de buitenstoelen, wat planken en scherpe messen gemist.

Très belle maison mais accès difficile avons du laisser les voitures en haut...

Bon séjour malgré un accès très difficile Route de petriolo fermée et accès maison impossible car il y avait eu des pluies la semaine d' avant... En vélo très dur aussi nous avons poussé nos vélos sur 2kms de piste très raide...

Three Generation Holiday

We - grandparents, children & 4 grandchild - enjoyed our holidays in Villa Casciano. Plenty space in the house and the nice big pool gave everybody enough room for personal preferences. The place is absolutely quiet and offers nice view in all directions. Le Marche is a perfect place in Italy - friendly people, good food & wine, less tourists and lovely villages.

Tolles Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir, 3 Familien mit insgesamt 12 Personen, haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Unkomplizierter Check-In, nette Ansprechpartnerin, die immer schnell und mit britischem Charme auf kleine Problemchen reagiert hat, die schönste und großzügigste Küche, die wir in unserer langen Ferienhausgeschichte je hatten, große Innenräume, die auch für schlechtes Wetter (das wir zum Glück nicht hatten) tauglich wären, ein toller Pool mit schönem Ausblick. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön, herrlich untouristisch, gute Supermärkte sind nah und trotzdem hat man das Gefühl für sich zu sein. Die letzten Meter der Zufahrt sind tatsächlich ein bisschen steil, aber man kommt schon immer irgendwie rauf. Der Außensitzplatz ist auch schön - hier wäre eine bessere Beschattung noch wünschenswert. Alles in allem ein Haus, in das wir sehr gerne wieder kommen!

Perfect house for families!

We were two families staying in the house for a week. We all had a wonderful week. The house is clean and spacious. The surroundings are amazing, even better than the pictures shows. Nice and good supermarkets around the area, nice pizza and beautiful small villages. The pool is clean and warm (we put the heat on). You can just relax, swim in the pool, listen to the silence, play football... We went to the beach several times, nice and good for kids with many different restaurants. We want to come back! Ciao!

Beautiful scenery, brilliant place for relaxing

Sehr schöne rustikale, renovierte Land-Villa im Grünen mit toller Aussicht, schönem Garten und Pool. Sehr freundlicher Vermieter und Kontakt-Personen vor Ort. Große Wohnküche im Erdgeschoss. 5 Schlafzimmer im ersten Stock, ein weiteres im Dachgeschoss. 4 Badezimmer. Zufahrt etwas steil bergab, aber da gewöhnt man sich dran. Meer und Strand 15 km entfernt. Unsere Lieblings-Pizzeria war in Mogliano am Marktplatz. Wir haben dort trotz Erdbeben eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht.

Five Star

We had two weeks in September into October 2015. The weather although not cool was overcast and we had a number of rainy days which spoiled the stay in Le Marche although it is a beautiful region. I would recommend Spring, summer and early Autumn however we were told that this was the worst Autumn in Le Marche for many years. This beautiful villa made up for the poor weather and is not far from the airport and directions from Brian (owner) were spot on. The villa is excellent and the restaurant recommendations were all tried and found to be well recommended and very good. The villa is in an excellent, peaceful and beautiful location. We also found a good trattoria on the road to Moliagno on the left which was excellent and great value for money. Brian the owner has thought of everything in the villa to make guests feel at home and comfortable and it cannot be faulted. I would definately return with a larger group and would not hesitate booking Villa Casciano again. All of the information provided i.e. supermarkets and visits by Brian was very helpful and helped make the holiday less stressful. I would definitely give this villa a five start rating and would not hesitate in returning as Brian and his colleague made sure we had a good time. Carlo Crolla Edinburgh Scotland

Absolutely Amazing - wonderful villa and stunning

Amazing views and plenty of room

A little tricky to find but once we arrived we had a wonderful stay. There were 9 of us visiting for a long weekend. We have family in Macerata and hosted them for dinner one night. We made them an American chicken dinner and they made us an Italian pasta dinner, carbonara. It was fantastic and 14 of us (for dinner) were very comfortable. The 9 of us who stayed were greeted with our own rooms. We used the pool for our Christmas photo. Watching the sunrise and moon was unbelievable. At first we thought we would miss not being plugged in (internet) but in the end, the peace and quite of the countryside was more desirable. The property was well maintained and the restoration of the villa was beautiful. We truly felt immersed in the Italian culture. If visiting Le Marche in the future with a large group, we would definitely put this villa at the top of our list. The villa was centrally located for our trips to Bel Forte, Cessapalombo, Caldarola, Macerata and Civitanova.

PEACE GREAT WEATHER AND WONDERFUL VIEWS

2 FAMILIES STAYING WHO HAD A GREAT TIME AT THIS WELL EQUIPED HOUSE THAT HAS LOTS OF GREAT FEATURES INTERNALLY WITH ALL THE FACILITIES THAT YOU NEED . THE HOUSE,THE GROUNDS AND THE VIEWS ARE SPECTACULAR AND THE KIDS WERE IN AND OUT OF THE POOL ALL DAY LONG SO PLENTY OF TIME TO ENJOY THEM. GREAT LOCAL TOWN IN WALKING DISTANCE WITH A FEW BARS AND RESTAURANTS AND VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE. A SHORT DRIVE TAKES YOU TO A WIDER CHOICE OF GOOD EATING PLACES AND ALSO INTERESTING PLACES TO VISIT. THE COAST IS A NICE JOURNEY OUT AND WORTH A VISIT ALSO. THE INFORMATION GIVEN ON THE VILLA AND THE RESTAURANTS RECOMENDED IN THE INFORMATION PACK RECIEVED WERE AS THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE AND REALLY ENJOYED BY ALL OF US. RECOMEND TO ANYONE...WILL BE BACK...THANKS

Fantastic villa

We have had an amazing holiday. The villa is fantastic ( even better than the photos suggest) and so spacious. The gardens and pool are extremely well kept and the children were entertained for hours each day. The weather was beautiful and the food delicious. Although a little out of the way, Assisi is well worth a visit. The only downside was having to come home!

Just got back

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay. If you follow Brian’s directions and not your GPS you’ll have no problem finding the house. You might want to get a rental car with a bit of power behind it since the driveway down to the villa is rather steep. We had no problem going down but our little car really needed to be coaxed to make it back up. The villa is surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery you could ask for. There's a lovely view no matter which window you're looking from. I couldn’t believe how wonderfully quiet it was. Inside, there’s plenty of room for everyone and the large open kitchen-dining area is just perfect for sharing the fun that comes along with the hustle, bustle and confusion of large family style meal times. There are plenty of markets close by for picking up groceries and wine. Not much of a problem in early May but later in the season mosquitoes might be a real nuisance since there were no screens, just don’t forget the mosquito repellent. The villa is a great place to just kick back, relax and enjoy family, friends and beautiful scenery.

La villa è davvero bella. Posizionata tra le colline maceratesi, permette di restare in totale tranquillità. Le camere sono accoglienti e comode, come il resto della casa, i bagni sono dotati di doccia e vasche e non c'è stato alcun problema con l'acqua calda o il riscaldamento. Il contatto è stato sempre molto disponibilie e gentile. Purtroppo per noi non abbiamo potuto utilizzare la piscina dato il periodo. Consigliatissima.

My passion for Italy started after watching a holiday programme on TV about Le Marche. I booked a trip and went to see some properties and found Villa Casciano during that 1st trip. It has been a labour of love to restore such a big house but I have enjoyed all of it!

I chose this property because of the amazing original features, fantastic gardens and views and its sheer size and scale. I wanted a house that family and friends could visit and stay, with lots of space both in and outside. The house is great for getting together, for example for special occasions like significant birthdays, family get togethers and friends reunions.

The unique benefits of this house include its large size and scale, so even with a large group there is plenty of space. There is also a very large open-plan kitchen, dining room and TV room so everyone can gather for a real Italian-style dinner and social gathering! There are also some fantastic features like original chestnut doors, oak beams and iron-work, which have all been restored, stripped back and beautifully polished.

The house has a very special, large garden room that is great for getting out of the sun in the day but still having views of the garden and pool. It is also a great room for evening gatherings. The garden room can also double as a perfect, serene indoor yoga studio.

The garden is a special place. There is a large lawn all around the house with amazing views. We have 2 terraces, one for eating and one we call the 'gin and tonic terrace', which is great for early evening drinks before dinner, watching the sun go down!
