About this property

Lovely traditional house in a greek island with garden

Traditional house, renovated in 2019, in the picturesque little village of Skyros Island.
House meant for 6 persons but 7 people can sleep in.
It has a private hidden garden which is rare in the village of Skyros where one can spend hours under the shade.
There is a main house and 2 bungalows.
- Main house: living room, bedroom in the mezzanine (2), bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, small room (1).
- Bungalow n°1 : little house with a mezzanine that sleeps 2, bathroom. It is reunited with the main house but has a private entrance.
- Bungalow n°2 : double bed (2), bathroom and balcony.

Equipment :
Sheets and towels are provided. A washing machine is at your disposal.
The kitchen has a dishwasher, oven, hotplates, refrigerator.
Fans in all the rooms.
The house is ideally located in the village, very close to the main street but perfectly quiet.
The nearest beach can be reached by foot (15 minutes walk) .

Access to Skyros:
- Plane: Athens-Skyros. 25 minutes flight
- Car and Ferry (Athens - Kymi: 2hours drive, Ferry Kymi - Skyros: 1h40)
Car rental is available in Athens or in Skyros.

Maison très agréable avec une très belle terrasse arborée, ce qui est rarissime dans les maisons de Chora, le bourg traditionnel de Skyros. La disposition des chambres et les différents accès à la maison permettent une grande autonomie de deux couples. Un bémol : le manque d'intimité de la 3e chambre double en mezzanine ouverte sur la cuisine et le salon. Sinon, Christina, notre hôte, a été parfaite et toujours à l'écoute. Nous avons passé un ecellent séjour.

Très belle maison avec terrasse arborée

La maison de Christina est un vrai petit musée ! Elle est très belle et la terrasse arborée est une pure merveille où on aime passer du temps à toute heure. Par contre la maison est tarabiscotée (c’est ce qui fait son charme) et il vaut mieux ne pas être trop grand pour y être à l’aise… notre fils qui mesure 190 cm s’est beaucoup cognée la tête et plaint des dimensions des couloirs, escaliers, poutres, etc… De plus, j’ajouterais qu’il faut être en forme pour y séjourner car le parking n’est pas tout près et le dénivelé est sérieux. Mais c’est le prix à payer pour loger dans cette petite ville pittoresque et tellement vivante !

Cher Stéphane, nous avons été ravis de vous accueillir avec votre famille dans notre maison qui a toute les caractéristiques et le charme des maisons traditionnelles skyriotes. Le plan, l'ameublement et la décoration respectent spécifiquement cet héritage. Par ailleurs, comme je l'indique dans l'annonce, la maison est construite au cœur du village et on y accède par des ruelles pittoresques comme le font les habitants de l'ile. Au plaisir de vous revoir sur notre belle île!
