The property is composed of two double bedrooms, a living room with a comfortable double sofa bed and two folding bed for a total of 8 beds, two bathrooms with s hower, a kitchen and a large furnished terrace. Villa Soliva is equipped with: air conditioning / heating, washing machine, dishwasher, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, TV, internet wi- fi, oven.
Villa Soliva is situated in Mondello (Palermo), it is located in a beautiful natural setting, quiet and scenic. From the terrace you can enjoy a unique view of Mount Pellegrino and the gulf of Mondello.
The beautiful beach of Mondello and the Marine Park of Capo Gallo are at about 800 mt and can be reached on foot with a pleasant walk. Even the terrestrial reserve of Mt Gallo with its unique panorama overlooking the sea can be reached by walking, the access is just above the Villa.
Villa Soliva is the ideal choice to enjoy the beauties of the sea of Mondello and for the relaxing walks through the paths of the reserve of Mt Gallo (trekking) and the Marine Park of Capo G allo. Also the center of Palermo with its wonderful monuments and the streets of the shopping is easy reachable (20 min) also with the bus.
Villa Soliva is equipped with a comfortable internal parking, has an internal area of over 130 sqm, a large panoramic terrace and is adorned with a luxuriant garden of 700 sqm furnished with its two gazebos, the barbecue, the comfortable deckchairs and dining tables allows you to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay.

Lovely villa in the hills

Villa just as described with all you could need. Lovely welcome by Antonello who was on hand at all times. Glorious views over Mondello. Ideally situated for visiting the North and North West coast, also a few minutes drive to a lovely beach. You would definitely need a car to get around but be aware the Italians are crazy drivers.

Lovely relaxed stay

The villa was just as described. There were different areas we could use; sitting room, conservatory, sun terrace and garden areas. The bedrooms had good storage and we had separate bathrooms. The area was lovely and quiet and the views over Mondello were pretty. Antonello and his family lived on site and any questions we had were answered. We really enjoyed our time in the villa and would highly recommend it.

Superb stay

We had a very nice and comfortable week in the beautiful villa of Antonello in Mondello. The large partially open and glazed veranda allows you to dominate Palermo and to benefit from the sunrise and sunset superb over the see. This old house but comfortable and quite well maintained the parking space is protected and secure. Our stay was relaxing is really pleasant especially as host is very friendly, responsive as soon as you need information and really welcoming. I recommend this rental without hesitation

Beautiful views

The home and property are beautiful. You do need a car as there is not Uber or taxis that will go to that location. I would recommend this as long as you have a car. The walk to beach is about 25 minutes, where you can take bus into Palermo. Very gracious host who lives on part of the property.

dear guest I really want to thank you for appreciating my property, hosting you was really a pleasure. I just want to make two clarifications just to clarify the situation: often my guests, when don't go walking, go to and from home by taxi that reach Villa Soliva normallyand, moreover, in Mondello square (10 minutes walking from home) is available a comfortable service of sharing of electric bicicles and electric scooters that you can find on the way towards home also. Finally is opportune to inform who read that the beach of Mondello is at 800 metres from home (10 minutes walking).

Hillside stay in Mondello

The property is as advertised and as shown in the listing. The outside porch is the star attraction with its view of the bay and the city, and very comfortable seating. It was spacious and comfortable and we all (group of 4) enjoyed our stay. The host was gracious and informative giving us a long list of restaurants and food stores, many of which we tried and found up to his recommendation. He also responded quickly when we had a drainage problem in one shower. However that same shower showed signs of previous backups and was not as clean as it should have been. The rest of the house was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Parking is inside a secured gate and there is plenty of room (we had two cars). But there is a second gate to get to the house, and with two cars it was a nuisance keeping the ONE set of gate openers in play. For one car, there is no problem at all - and there is a good sense of security. The kitchen is somewhat small - good for two people at a time only. All the essentials, and more, are there.

Very disappointing stay

Unfortunately, our experience staying here was not at all what the other reviewers had. I quite frankly, do understand the 5* ratings. This was the worst Vrbo property that we have stayed at…and we have been to many. The first thing to mention is that this is a shared property…the owner and his family live downstairs and his sister has the upstairs. This was not mentioned in the Vrbo listing…in fact, it says “entire home “ . We did not have access to the gardens or hot tub. The second issue was that the unit was dirty….really dirty. Every dish we took out was dirty so we had to run them through the dishwasher before using them, every tablecloth we took out was dirty, the frying pans were filthy. There was no soap or shampoo in the showers…only one hair dryer…no laundry soap (he did bring us his from downstairs ). The floor was dirty and nothing seemed like it had been cleaned, the ceiling fan was not mounted and was hanging with exposed wires. I did mention all of these issues to Antonello, telling him how disappointed we were and pointing out how dirty the unit was…he said he was sorry. The few good things I can say - there is adequate parking and it is a simple walk to the beach (you will have to buy your own beach towels because none are provided). We were looking forward to ending our 3 week holiday here, hoping to cook together and relax in the gardens. This was not possible. We were misled and extremely disappointed in the condition of the property.

Good morning dear guest, I am truly sorry that, unlike the dozens of guests who preceded you, you did not enjoy your stay at my house. I honestly cannot understand the reason for your complaints about a property whose characteristics are clearly described in the ad published on VRBO but, probably, this is also due to the extremely critical spirit with which you are used to living your holidays. Now, also for the benefit of those who read us, I must express my point of view. - First of all, the fact that the garden is partially available from June to September is clearly described in my ad. Guests are allocated a suitable portion of the garden with a barbecue area, table, chairs and deck chairs that is at their exclusive disposal, there are no shared spaces or entrances. - nowhere in the ad is it indicated that laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent are provided, however it is my concern to provide both to my guests and I do not see what is wrong with me taking the laundry detergent from my house where I have the supply warehouse. - the ad does not indicate anywhere that beach towels are provided. - no electric cable for the fan is exposed or dangerous. The fan is in perfect working order, the only problem was, as I pointed out to you when you called me for this reason, that you were unable to understand how it works. - as regards the cleanliness of the house, I did not notice anything abnormal when I came to visit you. As I have already had the opportunity to do in person, I apologize and am sorry if you found some dirty plates or pans, unfortunately they will have escaped the control of those who take care of the cleaning of the house and I have already provided instructions so that this does not happen in the future. Therefore, dear guest, for the future I advise you to read the ads more carefully and, above all, to experience the holiday with a more relaxed spirit. Finally, with the welcoming spirit typical of us Sicilians, I tell you that I would be very happy to host you again and offer you a good aperitif on our panoramic terrace. yours Antonello

A Delightful Stay

Perfect, very clean and spacious with easy access to the town and beach. We stayed for a week. The panoramic terrace has a spectacular view, the perfect spot for the day’s first coffee.

Restful and Lush getaway near Mondello

We enjoyed a recent 5 night stay. There were several fabulous multi-level patios and a lanai. The villa was very cozy and roomy. Antonello the owner was excellent to deal with and quick to respond to any queries. The villa was in a safe area with a quick 15 min walk into Mondello. The wi-fi was extremely fast and although there was a tv, we were so content just reading and enjoying the patio areas. A great way to relax after the end of a long busy teipwe had in Italy.

Paradise in the gardens

The home is beautiful and spacious. The gardens a little bit of paradise It is quiet and preaceful away from the bustle of Palermo and Mondello downtown Palermo is easily accessible by day- park near the botanical gardens and you can wander to the old town of Palermo Antonello was very helpful - we arrived in an unusual torrential downpour and he rescued us!!

Fantastic week in villa soliva

As we entered through the private gates a lush oasis of greenery and flowers awaited us. The villa was spacious, very clean and we were greeted by Antonello the owner. The many rooms in the villa afforded us the opportunity to sit out and look at the beautiful mountains, the flowers and to breathe the beautiful scent of gardenias. We had our choice of several rooms to either relax or dine. Great atmosphere. Antonello was gracious, very accommodating and helpful. We would definitely return to villa soliva.

Wonderful views. Peaceful location

The villa is positioned in a quiet part of town with a superb view over the bay of Mondello. It was good to come back here after the hustle and bustle of the beach and Palermo (which is very close - just half an hour on the bus). The villa is very comfortable and clean with well equipped kitchen and so many comfortable chairs to sit in. The views from the terrace were lovely with gorgeous orchids in the conservatory. Antonello was very friendly and helpful and his advice was very useful in orientating us at the beginning. The villa is ideally placed for a beach holiday or for exploring North West Sicily and I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

A very good apartment!!!

Mondello is a relaxing 'town' with a great beach. The 'house' is in a quiet location and an easy stroll to the main hub to catch a bus to Palermo. Its a short ride to Monreale and 90 minutes to Enrice and Cefalu. The apartment is very well equipped. The view of Mount Pelligrino is spectacular. We spent most of our time in the balcony areas enjoying the vista and great weather. I highly recommend this apartment. Antonello greeted us and provided important and accurate advice re restaurants and shopping. Very friendly!! We would return!!!

Ein großzügiges Ferienhaus mit fantastischer Aussicht, ruhige Umgebung

Ein Ferienhaus, in dem wir uns zu viert in den Osterferien sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Antonellos herzlicher Empfang und seine Erläuterungen zur Wohnung und zum herrlichen Garten sind perfekt. Der schöne Ort Mondello ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen.

Beautiful views, clean apartment

Antonello was awesome. He drove us to the beach because we got lost. He gave us a map and gave recommendations where to eat and shop. The place was clean and secure with 2 motorized gates and plenty space for parking.

a great family week at Villa Soliva

It's very beautiful, lovely and very comfortable house which you make feel to be "at home" when you come in. It's so completed, warm and fantastic whith a marvelous garden. We have taken breakfast everyday in another gardenplace next to the tree of orange, lemons, figs, grapefruits or pomegranate. From the veranda we amazed in the evening the view to the mountain and the see. Villa Soliva seems to be a little part of paradise.

Views to the Sea, lovely gardens, Bello Casa!

This was our first time in Mondello. The villa is very spacious, and very clean. The location is perfect! One mile walk to the beach and the lovely center of Mondello. There is a grocery store, a gym and of course wonderful restaurants within 5 minutes from the villa. The owner has pride of ownership and is very friendly and helpful and speaks very good English. We spent 10 days in this beautiful villa and actually cooked in 5 nights...there is also an outdoor grill. I can highly recommend this villa as your cozy home away form home!

Modern luxury house. Amazing gardens, views, quiet

This is a magnificent place to stay when you want privacy, luxury, gardens and quiet as a home base. The house is a VERY close to a sea side town Mondello that is so cute it almost hurts. Antonelo was extremely helpful and kind from check in to check out. The house is very modern, very comfortable, great amenities and magnificent views of sea & mountains from terraces inside and patios outside. Amazing place to watch sunsets. Lovely breezes and QUIET. Almost no cars on the street. Beds & showers are dreamy & everything is quite new & works perfectly. A great place for a family, a couple or two. We will come back as often as possible to this house and this place. The best way to explore Palermo is to not STAY in Palermo ;-)

good for recreation with a wonderful sea view

We enjoyed our holidays in this very calm and big house in the hills near the sea. The owner was very endeavored and helpful. We can recommend this property to people who like to spend the holidays in a private old house. The garden is very large with a lot of shady places with chairs and tables for many people. The house and the garden were very clean. We loved the view from the wintergarden to the seaside and the hills.

Great retreat in the hills above Mondello

We spent a week in the apartment, but actually most of the time we had the whole villa just for us, including the huge garden, the BBQ place, etc. Most of the time we spent on the nice terrace with the unique view over Mondello bay and Monte Pellegrino. The interior of the house is far beyond what you could expect, with countless lounch chairs, couches, a new large TV and a nice fireplace. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The beach of Mondello (20min walk) is nice, there are also some good restaurants. We visited Palermo by Bus (30min ride), which went very well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house!
