Beautifully restored home in historic Blackstone District

Prairie four square built in 1913 in the Blackstone district of Omaha. This home has been lovingly restored and updated to be comfortable for groups up to 12. All new heating and air, electrical and plumbing, fire alarms for safety. Fully equipped kitchen and dining room, great room and TV area, powder room and laundry on first floor. Separate play areas for children with books and games for all ages. Landscaped backyard off large deck. Four off street parking spots available. Four bedrooms on second floor (2 with queen bed, one with king bed and one with queen bed and daybed with pull out trundle,) a full bath and a 3/4 bath. Third floor includes family room area, daybed with trundle and 3/4 bath. Located in recently revitalized Blackstone District with variety of restaurants and bars, nearby Midtown Crossing includes more restaurants, a park with outdoor concerts in the summer, shops and a theater. Centrally located with short commute to UNMC, UNO, Creighton, TD Ameritrade Ballpark, CHI Health Center Arena and Convention Center, Old Market District, Henry Doorly Zoo, Lauritzen Botanical Gardens, Joslyn Art Museum. Rental bikes and scooters available in Midtown Crossing. *Please note - we do limit to 12 guests and do not allow gatherings beyond the guests staying at the house.

The kids absolutely loved this house with not one but two play rooms stocked with toys. Plenty of space for all 11 of us. Will plan on coming back annually.

Family wedding landed us in Omaha with children and adults alike. House is roomy, kitchen is well equipped and location is terrific! Books and puzzles abound for “the littles” and we all enjoyed watching the cousins play. A great spit for families!

This is our 2nd time staying in this beautiful home, and it was just as fabulous as the 1st one! Tiger and Wendy are top notch hosts, providing all the necessities and then some, and always a local treat of fresh bread. The house is full of character and there's so much to appreciate that you're always noticing something new!

Gorgeous home in a great location

We had a girls trip to Omaha and the house was perfect for our group! There was plenty of space and the bathrooms were recently remodeled and in great condition. The Blackstone District is steps away. I would absolutely rent this home again. The pictures don't do it justice, there is so much space. The bedrooms and living areas are large! The owners were very responsive as well.

Historic Excellence

We thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas trip to Omaha at Tiger’s and Wendy’s home. The restoration is simply amazing and my family had lots of fun just looking around and enjoying the beautiful house. Located right in Blackstone historic district with lots of restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. Tiger and Wendy are the perfect hosts. We will definitely stay here again!

Fantastic home

Such a beautifully restored home, centrally located and wonderful hosts. My dad and brothers came in for the College World Series and could not have been happier with our stay. Highly recommend this property. Hoping to come back again next year.

Beautifully designed and stocked

Our stay was perfect from the time we arrived to departing. This house is beautifully decorated and cared for. The kitchen, bathrooms, etc are all well stocked. The sitting areas are great for gathering and conversations. The hosts were easy to contact before our arrival and as needed. They welcomed us with 2 loaves of bread, butter and chocolates...perfect and unexpected. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here with our high school track team for the Nebraska State Track Meet and had plenty of room with plenty of amenities. Kitchen was great, beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean, and the host was very friendly and helpful.

Fabulous house in a fabulous location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Omaha visit at this property. The house is very conveniently located close to downtown and within walking distance to several restaurants, pubs, and boutique shops. The interior is very nicely decorated and updated with cozy charm. I don’t know when we’ll get back to Nebraska again, but if we do, we would love to stay here again. Highly recommend.

Married with 3 children and 4 granddaughters, we've done home improvement projects through our lives, but this is the biggest one we've tackled together. This is something very different than our "real" jobs (restaurant/pub manager and healthcare) and it has been a joy to see this property come back to life

Why they chose this property

We were presented with a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase this property just as the Blackstone District was coming back to life. We've worked tirelessly to keep the historic feel while making it modern enough to be comfortable for our guests.

What makes this property unique

The location allows easy access to so many of Omaha's sought after events and venues. Off street parking is a bonus in this bustling neighborhood as is a yard for kids to play. As a family who has stayed in multiple VRBO properties, we've made note of what we like and needed and have tried to provide all those things for our guests.
