This apartment is either the best self-catering we have every rented, or one of best two.
Location: Teolo, lots of up and down roads, switchbacks, glorious views and bicycle riders. The Piazzetta Bar and Ristorante is next door, pastries in the morning, then open at lunch and at dinner. Within 2 or 3 minutes walk are a fruit and vegetable store, a butcher/salumeria and a grocery. Also on that row is a Farmacia. A post office is a half-block away. The big Famila store in San Biagio, about 15 or 20 minutes drive, will cover you if you need it.
There are countless things to do and see within the Colli or just around the edges. Our favorite was the town of Este, with its medieval walls, archeology museum and the BEST gelato. Some places are only open weekends. Others have complicated hours. Maurizio provides brochures but you need to look up every single place online and make sure you have the information you need.
The apartment: Piazza Tito Livio, 15, is the European home I dream about. It is spacious, comfortable and attractively furnished. The kitchen has everything you can need and there is a washer AND a dryer. The bedroom and living room both face due east and the sunrises are BREATH-TAKING.
Parking is occasionally a challenge. There is a construction project underway the piazza is popular. In a pinch one can park a two-minute walk away in the parking area adjacent to the school.
Our Host: There is no human being kinder or more concerned than our host Maurizio. and he not only makes the best pizza imaginable, he delivers it to your door! (Saturday night is pizza night.) When we had questions I just texted on WhatsApp and he responded immediately.
Now I am not there. The sun will not rise over any hills outside my window, I will not hear a rooster welcome the dawn. I am so sad. I cannot recommend Domus Tito Livio too highly.
It was a pleasure to have had you as guests and from the review I see that you have fully grasped the spirit of Domus Tito Livius.
It doesn't have to be sad, I'm ready to welcome you again, maybe with some news I'm preparing for 2020. A big hug and thanks again.
A delightful apartment in a charming setting.
Elegant right in the country
Amazing place where no expense was spared. Super nice host with lots of good info, maps and tourist advice. Really good restaurant downstairs.
Great place, very clean, Very Beautiful place and a lot of Space with a Great Kitchen.the landlord was great, even made us pizza one night, Was very good. we would recommend putting a Queen size bed up stairs, the pull out was not good to sleep on. also Parking can be Difficult, because of the 2 Restaurants we had to share with for parking spaces.
I wanted to thank you for the excellent bottle of champagne.
We loved our stay here. Teolo is such a nice town and the people are so friendly. The house is very clean and comfortable and Maurizio made sure we had everything we needed. It has been beautifully renovated with every detail in mind. The restaurant next door was our favorite and we have great memories of the friends we made there. Everyone treated us so well, we didn't want to leave!
If you are food lovers, you must know that the Euganean Hills are full of farm stays, trattorias and typical restaurants offering local wine and oil for lunch and dinner, as well as breathtaking views. Teolo is famous for its country festivals, during which you can enjoy food, sports, daytrips and bike riding - no matter the season - along the many paths of the enchanting park of the Euganean Hills. Moreover, if you are passionate about rock climbing, you can reach Rocca Pendice in few minutes on foot. Other entertainment activities:
- Daytrips along the bicycle lanes and the E2 cycleway called “the ring of the Euganean Hills”, which is 63 km long.
- Five golf courses nearby, such as the Golf Club of Montecchia, the Golf Club Padua-Galzignano, the Golf Club Frassanelle, the Golf Club Colli Berici and the Golf Club Vicenza.
- Some stables in the environs.
If you love relaxing and taking care of yourself, you must know that the nearby thermal towns of Abano and Montegrotto Terme attract tourists from all over the world and offer many wellness treatments such as beauty farms and mud baths.
Culture, History and Art at your fingertips. The main cities of art of the region are Padua, Vicenza, Verona and especially Venice, all few km away from our property. Not to forget Este, Montagnana, Cittadella and Marostica with their castles, as well as the Roman archaeological sites in the thermal towns, the castles, the villas and the abbeys, through which you will dive into the Italian history and art.
If you have children, you can reach Gardaland, Movieland and Caneva Acquapark in only 1 hour by car, near the Lake Garda.

Maurizio, the owner’s son, lived in the apartment until summer 2014. He personally followed all the renovation stages of this 18th century historical building.
Maurizio purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Maurizio chose Teolo
At the beginning, the apartment was intended for a personal use, which is why it is full of picturesque decorations and tasteful details. After Greta and Sofia - Martha's sisters - were born, we felt the need to enlarge our living space. Since the village is a protected historical site of Venice, we could not enlarge our house, so our family had to renovate the neighbouring house and move there. It was a German friend of ours staying in our apartment who suggested us rent the apartment to tourists. Here we are, ready to share our beautiful house with guests who love simple things, nature and tradition!
What makes this Apartment unique
I think that our house, called Domus Tito Livio, is an oasis of peace and relax, ideal if you want to escape the stress of your everyday life. In this village we have a typical Italian lifestyle, that is to say genuine and relaxed, but Teolo is at the same time a centre of important historical sites and Venetian cities of art. You really cannot miss this experience!
