About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 11-17)

This magnificent, (approx) 4000 square foot home is located near the exciting seaport city of Ensenada.

This wonderful home (five bedrooms, family room, sleeps up to 17 persons sits on one of the most beautiful, undisturbed, pristine, sandy beaches in all the world. It is located minutes from the famed 'La Bufadora' famous for snorkeling, diving, shopping, and one of the largest 'Blow Holes' in North America.' A four-season paradise for outdoor lovers, winter, snowbirds, and warm weather vacationers.

Just a short distance from the house you'll find five-star restaurants (in Ensenada), duty-free shopping, surfing, sports fishing, the world's most shopped street, and one of the three most cloud-free areas on earth.

It's a world of Mariachis, and salsa, exotic foods, culture, and it's practically in San Diego's backyard. So near, so easy, and yet so foreign.

This home is wonderfully decorated, complete with rare tiles imported from Italy and the most unusual southwestern art. There is a downstairs family room for the children, with their own bathroom, TV/VCR, and game table.

This home features some of the most majestic, panoramic ocean views in all the world. Enjoy a Margarita with your guests as you relax around the fabulous tiled sunken bar facing the blue Pacific!

From there walk up to the incredible private deck (surrounded by water on all four sides) and ravage the awesome sunset! Time for dinner, move to the formal dining room and dine by candlelight while enjoying romantic music and the warmth of the fireplace.

Romance is in the air, an oceanside firepit in the patio, (great for roasting marshmallows and sing-a-longs), two fireplaces, a water view from all but one of the bedrooms, and some of the most breathtaking sunsets in all the world.

This home is located in a private gated community at the Baja Beach And Tennis Club, with round the clock security. Just minutes away is tennis, golf, horseback riding, boating, snorkeling, fabulous diving, exceptional fishing, and a beautiful golf course.

About Alan Mayer

I am a professional photographer, travel the world shooting photos for my software company. The house was built in 1990 for my 5 daughters.some of my kids are in the photo. My wife is a flight attendant, the perks are really awesome. We have never seen a location such as ours in our travels that anything rivals our beachfront and is so private.

Alan Mayer purchased this house in 1990

Why Alan Mayer chose Baja California Norte

This is by far one of the most beautiful areas in the world. Located on arguably the most amazing beach on the planet, no crowds, no loud tourists. Unlike many beaches in Northern Mexico when the tide is in there is no beach, just rocks--not here! just white pristine sand! A gated safe community with 24 hour aroung the clock security gives us peace of mind.So remote but just a half hour from the excitement of Ensenada. Also water sports, horseback riding, golf and tennis is minutes away. Our friends love to snorkle and scubba dive, the Bufadora is 10 minutes fron the house and arguably is one of the best areas in Northern Mexico to enjoy that sport.

What makes this house unique

Quiet enjoyment, long walks on the beach, bird watching, The most amazing view from the living room and bedrooms that I have ever seen in all my years of traveling. The upstairs deck is surrounded on all side by water and with that 360 degree view of the ocean and bay I personally have never seen anything like it in my travels. The water is safe for my 5 daughters and their kids, the waves are gentle and the beach is very safe. This is paradise, the only problem with it is when I have to leave.

Awesome Place.....BEST EVER and less than 2hrs from San Diego

I can't thank you enough for making our stay absolutely magical. Your home is more than anything I could have dreamed of. The house is immaculate, the views from the house are breathtaking.

The management staff was called because of a slight problem and they arrived moments later and fixed it, they were great.

The beach was by far the most beautiful beach ever and the panoramic view from the deck upstairs was amazing. We took long walks on the beach and even saw some otters basking in the sun. The sunsets were awesome.

The photos don't do the house justice. We went to your taco stand that you recommended in your packet and it was the best taco ever, in fact we went back 3 more times. My little niece played on the beach, she wants to go back.

We played pictionary, scrabble , roasted marshmallows at the fire pit and watched the waves roll in. The only sad part we had to leave. My family and I are so grateful that we had this experience and we look forward to renting your amazing house again.

Exceeded our expectation, amazing place to stay.

All I can say it's great. The management team is friendly. The panoramic view of the living room of the ocean and the shoreline is truly breath taking. Its great for families, the house is very spacious. The house is clean and the location is near everything. The deck upstairs has a view of the ocean and the bay, what an amazing place to party. Every bedroom has an ocean or a bay view. The beach is amazing, when the tide is in its still all beach. I took my daughter and her friends, they had a great time. Perfect for families. The ocean is very safe because of the pennisulas that flank the house and Todos Santos Island as a breakwater. We took long walks and rode our bikes.

Too pricey for what I experienced

This house had a magnificent view, fire pit and the above deck. I loved that you can see the kids from the living room while they are playing In the beach. The house is huge and seeing the sunset was the highlight. Also the Bufadora and market were close to the beach house. The management staff responds very quickly to any complaints you have and they are very attentive. However I didn't like the fact that the water shuts off at night until the morning, we caught a virus in Mexico with vomiting and diarrhea really bad and we were not able to flush the toilet. We were not able to take a shower in the bathroom downstairs cause there was no hot water and the carpet downstairs needs to be replaced because it has a bad smell, you had to have shoes on cause the carpet felt really dirty. The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the beach but there was no widow therefor it was very stuffy, as for the rooms on the bottom of the house it was too closed and suffocating. There was air conditioning and the ceiling fans did not cut it, it was too hot and the doors had no screens so the mosquitos came in maybe we went when it was too hot but it would be nicer to go when its colder. Overall most of the house is clean it just needs to be updated.

Owner's Response: Regretfully some of this is all true due to a broken water main leading from the Homeowner Association's well to all the homes in the complex. Our management team was alerted and they arrived immediately to help these guests. Unfortunately the water had to be turned off during the late evening hours so the repair crew could begin to address the problem. The carpeting as a result was damp and ruined and of course it had an oder. As a result all the carpeting will soon be replaced with tile. The broken pipe has been repaired. As I read the review most of it is very complimentary. In the 20 years that we have had guests this is the first time that I have ever received a complaint about "stuffiness". When there is condensation from a broken water main condensation is a contributing factor to "stuffiness" in the air. We take great pride in our management team and when this guest emailed me I dispatched the team immediately. She simaltaniously contacted the guard on the premises and he too reported the incident to the property managers and they dispatched a repair crew immediately. The property managers did everything to satisfy the guest (admitted by the guest) but had no choice but to turn off the water to all the houses at midnight in order to fix the main water line leading to all the homes in the complex. I'm sorry that she couldn't understand that. Had they not made the repairs than her family wouldn't have water for the remainder of their stay. As far as her family being sick I'm sorry but that had nothing to do with us. You can be rest assured that we do everything to make sure that the guest has a most pleasant stay with us. For the past 15 years we have had nothing but wonderful reviews, sometimes there are circumstances beyond our control and this was one of them.

Quiet, Beautiful Beach House

  • 4 of 5

Very nice location, close to everything but yet secluded. Had a very nice stay at the Beach House, no troubles with anything in the House and security was helpful with direction and information on the area. We had 11 people and plenty of space for everyone, beach was awsome. We'll will certainly rent this House again. Thanks again for the nice accomadations.

Where do you live?

A glorious experience" one we will never forget

  • 5 of 5

My family and I spent a fabulous week at the Baja house, When we arrived we were blown away by the location. As we arrived the bay was directly across from the entrance to the house and the ocean was directly behind. What a setting! Upon opening the door we were stoked by the view from the living room of the ocean and the beach. We have never seen a view quite like this in our travels. The house was clean, not necessarily a 5 star resort but better than we imagined since we have stayed in Mexico before. The staff was very courteous and told us that they are on the property 7 days a week That made us very comfortable. Also we felt very secure knowing that it is a gated community (actually a rope} and the guard is there 24I7.

Not one person in our party was disappointed with their bedrooms since they all had views of the ocean or bay. We sat around the sunken bar every night and watched the sunset, the most incredible sunsets that I have ever seen. Sometimes we went to the upper deck and watched the panoramic view of the bay and ocean. The view from the deck is not to be believed. The beach is clean and very private. We took our bikes since it was noted on the owners website that the shoreline is hard enough to ride when the tide is out. Amazing experience riding on the most beautiful beach ever. Went to the "Buff" great time. The tacos recommended in the packet are by far totally the best ever. I loved cooking from the kitchen and seeing the panoramic view of the ocean. Played lottsa games, sat by the outside fire pit. Plenty of patio chairs, the owners seemed like they cared about us.

We will definitely return and are telling all our friends. Thank you owners for a most enjoyable vacation.

Great for a Family

  • 5 of 5

Great for the kids!

The house is called the "house of five daughters" and I now know why. The kids have a lots of fun. ^ kids went into one bedroom with a bunk bed that sleeps 2 on the bottom and 1 on top and some mattresses. They could make all the noise they wanted because the parents are upstairs. It's a rec room that's basically all theirs. TV, bathroom and each bedroom has an ocean view.

We loved the kitchen and the layout of the house. Perfect for family get togethers. It felt very safe for the kids playing on the beach, unlike other beaches it seems calmer. Maybe because there are 2 peninsulas and an Island in the ocean in front of the house that serves as a breakwater.

The view from the house is really cool—never seen anything like it. The beach was so private, it felt so inviting and safe. It's definitely a home that I am recommending for large families.
