Spend a special time with family or friends in an exceptional house on the banks of a magnificent river, the Loue in Franche Comté.
For 5 generations, this 16th century manor has been part of our family. Renovated during the winter of 2019, it is equipped with new bathrooms and equipped with all modern comforts. The size is ideal to comfortably accommodate 25 people. 8/9 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 1 kitchen, 4 new bathrooms, 5 separate toilets.

Ein wunderschönes, bewohntes Baudenkmal in märchenhafter Landschaft. Wir haben ein Wochenende in historischem Ambiente verbracht ohne auf modernen Comfort verzichten zu müssen. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und schön eingerichtet.

Magical stay by the river

We loved Chateau de La Loue. The house is beautiful, in an idyllic location. There was lots of space, very well equipped, and the river at the bottom of the garden was stunning. Édouard and Françoise were so helpful and lovely. The house is so well equipped with wetsuits, paddling shoes, fishing rods, boules sets. Everything you need! Even two canoes. Our children loved being in the giant games room in the barn with table football and table tennis. The area is beautiful and our river trip from Ornans back to the house was a highlight. Thank you! We would love to come again

A perfect place

What a perfect holiday destination! We loved the whole ambience of Chateau de la Loue. We were warmly welcomed by Pierre to a beautiful and generously equipped home and we all felt comfortably at home. There was plenty of space both indoors and outdoors for family fun and games. We weren’t presented with a list of do’s and dont’s. The canoes, the dragon, the wetsuits and shoes were used every day in the river, and the bikes were all used – great for a party to cycle for bread from Ornans each morning. The table tennis and boules were greatly enjoyed and lots of space for cricket. We had a wonderful holiday, culminating in an excellent last night meal for 17 at the nearby restaurant, Loue a la Bouche. We felt privileged to share the owners’ home. Thank you.

Fabulous

The chateau is such a gem. Situated in a huge park on the Loue it provides tranquility and style without being over the top. You won’t find any Ikea furniture. There’s plenty of kitchenware and a vast array of board games. All our group spent a wonderful week at this very special place. Thank you very much!

Home avec beaucoup d’activités

Même en mai nous avons pu profiter de la plage grâce aux combinaisons mises à disposition. Nous avons aussi pu faire une descente de La Loue sur 8 km. Le manoir est équipé de plein de jeux mise à disposition Il est parfaitement situé au centre de beaucoup de centres d’intérêt Arc et Senans Les source du Lison, les voies vertes vers l’hôpital Grosbois, où, pour les plus actifs des tours de vélo très appréciable.

Traumhaft

Es war unser zweiter Urlaub im Schloss. Wir sind mit 15 Personen und Kindern zw. 1 und 9 Jahren dort gewesen und es hatten alle eine tolle Zeit. Von Trampolin über Tischtennis, Boule, Tischkicker, Fußbälle, Schwimmwesten, Kanus und mehr ist alle im Haus vorhanden. Der Fluss ist ein Traum zum paddeln und entdecken, sandeln und planschen. Wir haben es mal wieder sehr genossen. Danke für den tollen Urlaub

Absolutely wonderful for a group of friends

My group of 16 friends had an amazing week at Chateau de la Loue! Where should I start? The grounds were beautiful and so tranquil. The interior was spacious and comfortable. The huge dining room table was one of our favorite spots! All of us could easily gather together and enjoy a leisurely meal together. The outdoor dining area was also amazing and made for a beautiful place to dine, drink and enjoy the twilight hours. There was plenty of space in the kitchen for a small group to prepare meals together. Even though the rest of France was experiencing a heat wave, we were very comfortable sleeping inside the cool stone walls. We spent a lovely day enjoying the river from the little "beach" area. There were a couple of Kayaks available, but we didn't get a chance to use them. A couple of my friends borrowed a few of the bikes available in the Stable and really enjoyed biking in the local area. I should mention there is a lovely restaurant very close to the Chateau called Loue à la Bouche. We had lunch there one day and really enjoyed it! We went to the fantastic Boulangerie Perrad in Ornans nearly every day of our stay and I can't recommend it highly enough. It was an idyllic place to spend a week. I would love to return one day.

Ein wunderschönes Schloss

Wir waren 3 Tage mit der Großfamilie in diesem tollen Haus. Ein historisches Schloss mit antiken Möbeln, moderner Ausstattung und einem riesigen Garten mit direktem Zugang zur Loue. Eine besondere Empfehlung für den Koch Alexandre. Exzellentes Essen zu einem sehr vernünftigen Preis.

A magic weekend

This chateau is really wonderful, it has a historical feel and style, is lovingly restored while having all modern comfort like heating and modern bathrooms. The landscape around is breathtaking and you have a direkct view to the river and a ruined castle on top of the rocks.

Un excellent séjour en famille.

Une propriété authentique dans un environnement idyllique. Le château est meublé avec goût et très confortable. Il y a pléthore de belles vaisselles, de jeux et d’accessoires pour les loisirs. Les propriétaires sont accueillants, discrets et de bons conseils. C’est mieux que dans l’annonce. N’hésitez pas : c’est un très bel endroit ! À Ornans, la boucherie (chez Marius) et la boulangerie sont remarquables.

Sehr empfehlenswert

Wir haben ein sehr schönes Wochenende im Haus verbracht. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit top! Der Koch, Alexandre hat für uns gekocht, ich kann ihn nur empfehlen. Nur ein Negatives habe ich zum erwähnen, dass wir beim Check out die Bettwäsche selber abziehen müssten. Wir müssten Müll auch selber entsorgen gehen. Ich fand es etwas komisch wenn man so viel für Endreinigung zahlt. Sonst war alles top, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir haben als Grossfamilie eine wunderbare Zeit in diesem unglaublich tollen Schoss verbringen dürfen. Unser herzlichster Dank geht an Edouard und seine Familie, dass sie uns diese Unterkunft zur Verfügung stellen: ein riesiger Garten mit unzähligen Spielmöglichkeiten für Klein und Gross, eine Ambiance voller Mystik, die das Eintauchen in die Vergangenheit ermöglicht, Aktiv-Urlaub und dennoch Erholung pur, gutes Essen von Cuisinier Alexandre zubereitet - die Liste der positiven Eindrücke könnte unendlich lange fortgesetzt werden. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder, wenn es möglich ist - DANKE!!!

Perfect in every way, we can't wait to go back!

We had the most wonderful stay at Chateau de La Loue, it couldn’t have been a more perfect venue for our family reunion! Sympathetically and authentically decorated, it feels extremely homely, with plenty of space for everyone (we were a group of 17 people, aged 9 to 70). Large games area, table tennis, trampoline, bikes, (wetsuits provided in every possible size), our children had the best time on the river Loue which crosses the end of the enormous garden (and it was late October!). There's a gorgeous fireplace (with an endless supply of firewood) and double living room for the colder evenings. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with many easily accessible walks within a few minutes drive, and the location of ‘Le miroir de Scey’, painted by renowned artist Courbet on your doorstep, I would also highly recommend chef Alexandre who cooked dinner on our arrival night. Finally, owner Edouard is a fantastic host, and was super responsive and accommodating in every way. We can’t wait to go back!

Ein zauberhaftes Schloss

Wir haben mit unseren Freunden ein wunderschönes Wochenende verbracht, das Schloß ist wirklich zauberhaft, ein historisches Gebäude, verwinkelt und gemütlich, dabei modern ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Freundliche Gastgeber und ein hilfsbereiter Nachbar. Die Fotos werden dem Anwesen absolut nicht gerecht! Es ist in Natura viel schöner, ein rieser Garten, mit Blick auf eine Burgruine, eine atemberaubende Landschaft. Wir waren alle begeistert und werden sicher wieder kommen!

Like a travel back in Time

This is the second time for us at Haute Vallée de la Loue and it's the most athmospheric and idyllic place ever. With the antique furniture, doors and overall look of the Chateau you just feel like you travelled back in time. Edouard is the most friendly Host and there is always a very friendly neighbor to help you out if needed. Some of us even used the opportunity to have a boat-trip on the River! We love coming to Haute Vallée de la Loue and we will definitely come back again soon!

Great holiday stay

We - a group of 16 friends around 30 yrs of age, without kids - had a wonderful stay at the chateau! There was plenty of space, items to be used (mounain bikes, canoes, table tennis), and all the necessities we needed (incl. 2 dish washers). Rather than a swimming pool there is a private entrance to a river, which is absolutely beautiful with crystal clear water, although it must be noticed that it's rather chilly to swim in (also in August). We loved the views on the trees and rocks, which also provided for privacy. Many thanks for the lovely stay, Edouard!

Perfekt!

Für ein paar Tage gemeinsam mit unseren Freunden wählten wir dieses schöne Schlösschen aus und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Umgebung, Ausstattung und Ambiente sind top! Es gibt Räumlichkeiten, um gemeinsam zu essen und Zeit zu verbringen. Gleichzeitig gibt es viele Rückzugsmöglichkeiten, drinnen wie draußen. Die Räumlichkeiten sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Die Kinder hatten viel Platz zum Spielen und auch Spiele/ Spielausrüstung zur Verfügung. In nur wenigen Minuten Fahrtzeit lassen sich auch Städte besichtigen und Outdooraktivitäten durchführen. Die Umgebung eignet sich hier und da für Wandertouren. Die Loue ist ein tolles Gewässer für Kayaktouren! Dies kann man mit den beiden Hauskayaks schon mal testen. All dies sowie die reibungslose Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern machen diesen Ort absolut empfehlenswert!

Superbe séjour dans une demeure magnifique en pleine nature

Une semaine inoubliable. La météo a été au beau fixe et nous a permis de profiter de l'immense parc extérieur, de la loue, et des nombreuses activités de la région. Le château est accueillant et très chaleureux. A refaire au plus vite!
