Love the neighborhood, very walkable to everything. A huge amount of restaurants, coffee, mini markets, right there. Try a poncha!

Top Location

Very difficult to fault this apartment in the beautiful Old town of Funchal. Great views, lovely hospitable host and so close to everything, whilst not being "in it"! Highly recommend.

Great location & well equipped

This apartment is very well located and equipped, and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The owners have installed good windows which keep out sound, and blackout curtains to keep out the light if you need to sleep. However, you can also have a lovely breeze going through with the windows on both sides of the apt. when open. The terrace is a wonderful bonus, looking out to the sea. We also enjoyed the mountain views from the bedrooms, which change daily. The thoughtful welcome treats and extras were much appreciated. We hope to return.

Central located appartment

Location very central in the old town. View from the balcony phantastic. Owner very friendly und support all the time. Unfortunately the location in the Santa Maria street (old town) is quite noisy- motorbikes all the night on one side and restaurant on the other side. If you are sensitive regarding noise it‘s not recommendable, if noise is not a problem for you the appartment is great, promenade, restaurants, cable car, etc. in short walking distance.

Fantastisches Apartment im Herzen von Funchal

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im Balkony Apartment, das keine WĂŒnsche offen ließ! Die BegrĂŒĂŸung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend, die Kommunikation zum Check-In war unkompliziert. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man braucht und liegt zentral direkt in Funchal, am etwas ruhigeren Ende der Rue Santa Maria. Die Terrasse ist ein Traum mit Blick auf das Meer und das Fort von Funchal. Das Fort ist leider recht lang beleuchtet, mit ein paar HandtĂŒchern als Sichtschutz kann man sich abends aber gut selbst helfen. Wir haben eine Nacht sogar am Balkon geschlafen, es war wundervoll! Vielen Dank an Patricio und Lina, dass sie diese tolle Unterkunft mit anderen Menschen teilen!

Cozy with historic sea views

Apartment is at the quiet end of old town. It has a street and apartment entrance with a flight of stairs to second level. Quiet neighbors as well with a lovely deck overlooking an old fort/ restaurant and the sea facing south so lots of sun all day. Kitchen and apartment are spotless, bathroom has a double shower heads and a very comfortable bed. The deck has dining table with 4 chairs, swing chair and two loungers, we lived out there every night! Host provided lanterns with candles, tea lights, blankets and a cozy outdoor rug to stargaze or yoga! There are many restaurants right around the corner one that will serenade you with instrumental music
 How perfect. Huge bowl of fruit, avacodo sand a beautiful bouquet of flowers were left for us, she made our stay very special. It really was very homey and we looked forward to returning each evening. She even has grocery cart on wheels for the market or your shopping. The thoughtful host did not miss any details. It was a fabulous experience and one of the best after traveling for 3 months through Spain and Portugal. Madeira wins!!

Hier stimmt alles!

Wir waren schon mehrmals hier und genießen es immer wieder. Dieses Jahr wurden wir angenehm ĂŒberrascht von dem neu renovierten tollen Bad und auch das neue Bett ist die absolute Spitze! Wir kommen gerne wieder!!! Lina ist eine super Gastgeberin, sehr einfĂŒhlsam und nett, hier stimmen auch die Kleinigkeiten. Vielen Dank!!!

Perfect location

This place was minutes away from all the good restaurants in Old Town. It was spotlessly clean and had great views out to the sea. Lina, our host met us at the apartment and explained everything to us and recommended certain restaurants. We will hopefully return.

Perfekte Lage

Lina ist sehr freundlich und jederzeit per Phone oder WhatsApp erreichbar. Saubere Wohnung ideal fĂŒr zwei Leute auch mit einem Kind . Der Balkon ist ein Traum. Restaurants unzĂ€hlige in der NĂ€he. Also eine klare Empfehlung von uns.....

Comfortable and well equipped apartment with a fantastic view

This is my first visit to Funchal, and staying here was perfect. The space is well laid out, the balcony offers one of the best views of the harbor, and Lina and her husband are perfect hosts. I spent mornings practicing yoga on the balcony and evenings watching the sunset over the fortress. My husband and I did have to do some work during our stay 🙁 I can’t complain since we were able to go for a swim or just chill out on the balcony inbetween conference calls. We hope to come back again soon â˜ș Look no further if you are also looking for a relaxing place to escape to for a week or a month.

Genialer Platz zum Erholen

Very nice apartment

We had two very good weeks in this apartment with a balcony overlooking the fort, sea and the cruiseships coming and going. We had a very warm welcome from the host. The apartment was clean, beds had good madresses and was fully equipped with all we could need and more. We give this apartment our best recommondations.

Sonnenaufgang am Atlantik

Tolle Lage des Appartments: In der Altstadt gelegen, d. h. zentral, aber in einiger Entfernung zum Trubel; Bushaltestellen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants etc. sind gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Blick vom Balkon auf den Atlantik ist einfach schön, man kann dort wunderbar entspannen, auch am Abend wenn Piano-Musik aus der St. Tiago-Festung herĂŒberklingt oder am Morgen den Sonnenaufgang erleben. Das Apartment selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet, wir haben uns dort sofort wohl gefĂŒhlt. Der Empfang war sehr gastfreundlich, mit frischem Obst usw. Wenn wir wieder nach Madeira kommen, dann sehr gerne wieder in dieses Apartment! Vielen Dank fĂŒr den schönen Aufenthalt dort!

Einfach Toll!!

Wir können uns den vorangegangenen Bewertungen nur anschließen. Wir waren zum ersten Mal auf Madeira und mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal. Wir wĂŒrden uns, wenn es dann soweit ist, wieder fĂŒr diese Wohnung entscheiden. Es hat fĂŒr uns alles gepasst. Lage, Aussicht, GrĂ¶ĂŸe der Wohnung (ideal fĂŒe zwei) Balkon, einfach super. Man hat nicht weit zum Hafen, wo man viel unternehemn kann, Restaurants und Bars sind in unmittelbarer NĂ€he. Die Vermieter sind jederzeit fĂŒr einem da und helfen weiter wo es geht. Danke nochmal Lina & Patricio, hoffentlich bis bald!

Best place to be

Die Wohnung liegt in einem kleinen, gepflegten Haus in der Altstadt, ist sehr geschmackvoll in schönen Farben eingerichtet und mit allem Notwendigen und NĂŒtzlichen prima ausgestattet. Von der großen Terrasse, die wie die Wohnung sehr ansprechend gestaltet und möbliert ist, hatten wir einen phantastischen Blick auf das alte Fort, das Meer, den Hafen und die Bucht von Funchal. Zu all dem trafen wir mit Lina und ihrem Mann auf sehr sympathische und hilfsbereite Vermieter, die uns noch dazu mit einer großen Obstschale und GetrĂ€nken empfingen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefĂŒhlt! Hier stimmte einfach alles! Muito obrigada, Lina!

Séjour trÚs agréable!!!

Nous sommes trĂšs satisfaits de l'appartement. À notre arrivĂ©e, nous avions des fruits locaux, des pĂątisseries ainsi que d'excellents petits pains. C'est une trĂšs dĂ©licate attention de la part de Lina. Nous avons profitĂ© de la disponibilitĂ© du garage puisque nous avions une auto de location. Nous avons beaucoup visitĂ© l'Ăźle, mais nous y retournerons sans doute pour voir les endroits que nous avons ratĂ©s. Les communications avec Lina ont Ă©tĂ© trĂšs efficaces ce qui nous a fait apprĂ©ciĂ© davantage notre sĂ©jour. MILLE MERCIS!!!

Fantastic!!!!

Location Location Location- I donÂŽt want to sell this apartment, but I would buy it if I could :-) We loved every moment - due to the wonderful balcony overlooking the sea. We spent every possible moment outside on this wonderful balcony and enjoyed being in Madeira. The apartment provides everything that you need and is perfectly clean. Lina is a darling and welcomed us with a beautiful basket full of fresh fruits, bred etc. Would come back in a heartbeat - muito Obrigado to Lina and all the wonderful people in Madeira.
