About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

This unique open plan home has wonderful ocean views from all rooms with the exception of the laundry, master bath, and half bath. The home was built in 2004, is 2000 square feet, has 2 fireplaces and a hot tub. The upper story has seven large picture windows that look out on to the Pacific ocean. Whales are often seen as well as fishing boats and paragliders who launch from the Cape. Deer are often seen crossing the dune between the house and ocean, along with a wide variety of birds. The hike/walk on the semi-private paths to the beach or Cape is less than ten minutes, but does require hiking up and down some dunes.

One of the greatest benefits of the home is that you will have unobstructed views of the ocean as the sun sets. Yes, the summer, spring and fall sun sinks directly into the ocean out your windows.

Brian is a software developer who grew up in the Pacific Northwest. Gloria works in finance and grew up in Cornwall, England. We have a Boxer named Zoe who wishes she could spend every day at the house on the Cape. Brian and Glo purchased this house from Herb and Bev in January of 2011.

Why The Owner chose Northern Coast

Cape Kiwanda is a special place. The ocean views and wildlife are like nowhere else. Pacific City is also a great little town. The energy is good there.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy watching wildlife from the house, especially the whales and birds. Hiking the cape and walking the beaches with our dog is part of the daily routine. Enjoying a pint of IPA from the patio of the Pelican pub on a sunny day is also a favorite.

Simply wonderful

A marvelous home, perfect for enjoying the beauty of the Oregon coast. All the rooms were spacious and spotless, and the large picture windows on the top floor—as well as the upper deck—provided a lovely ocean view. Those views added to the fun of fixing meals in the well-equipped and modern kitchen. One unexpected treat was the charming garden surrounding the lower deck. Because of the natural beauty and tranquility of the location, we were never tempted to turn on the TV or try out the music system. If we had, I’m sure we would have found them in perfect condition. The owner’s high standards are obvious in how well the property is maintained as well as his quick and thorough email responses to questions…and very helpful FAQ sheet he sent out as our stay approached.

Beautiful place better than advertised

We just spent two weeks at Brian's home. It is better than advertised. The home is in such a beautiful location and so peaceful. We had each of our children's families come for each week. They spent their time playing at the beach enjoying the hot tub and lots of great family time. If you rent from Brian you will not be disappointed and he is so helpful and accommodating. Brian's Home is as always very clean, adding the new floors were awesome, also the carpet runners on the stairs was also a great addition.

Wonderful House!

This house was wonderful! The view was amazing and the house had everything you might need. I have started bringing a lot of condiments, etc. to rental houses as so many only have salt and pepper. No need to bring anything here. We couldn't have asked for a better place.
