Really nice place. The kitchen was well stocked, it had everything you could possibly need for cooking. It was nice to have free on site parking. It was very comfortable and homey. It was very clean and organized.

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The location is great. There are many restaurants to choose from within a walking distance. It was clean and quite roomy for a couple. The host wad very attentive from start to end, providing information and following up timely.

Beautiful place. This location was incredibly convenient for getting around San Diego. Parking was convenient and easy to find. Even though the parking spot is in an alley, we never once felt unsafe.

The unit worked great for our 4 day stay in San Diego. It was clean and well equipped. The parking spot was very nice to have and it is in a great location. The outdoor patio sitting area was also great. We definitely would stay here again next time we visit San Diego!!

This is our second time staying at this property and it was just as nice as we remembered. Prime location in the Golden Hill neighborhood with quick access to major freeways and walking distance to an excellent pizza shop and a bar across from that makes for a relaxed evening. The bungalow is well kept with everything you need inside, the patio is excellent for a morning coffee. I really like the assigned parking spot steps from the apartment gate. The bed is comfortable and the area is fairly quiet at night so we were able to get a good nights rest after being busy in the city all day. You really can’t beat the amenities and location for this rental. Will definitely use them again and we tell all our friends visiting San Diego to give this place a go.

Great place in Golden Hill

We had an excellent stay visiting family in Golden Hill. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful neighborhood and is very well located for doing things around San Diego. For anybody that hasn't been in Golden Hill before, just keep in mind for the neighborhood that you are right under the approach to SAN and that walking to the main part of Balboa Park requires traversing a deep canyon.

Great apartment, erverything as described and shown on the pictures. It was all very clean and you could see that the owners take a lot of care. The location in a nice neighbourhood is convinient to reach Balboapark in a few minutes and downtown within 30 min walking distance or a 10 Uber ride. Overall the top rating provided so far is fully justified.

Great location in Golden Hill

Our stay was very pleasant for many reasons, but mainly, because of how close it was to our son’s apartment. The rental was very clean and comfortable for the two of us. The keyless entry made coming & going extremely efficient and we felt safe with added security of the gate. We had everything we needed for the week right there.

Good things come in small packages

We enjoyed our 4+ week stay at Balboa Bungalow in Golden Hill.The unit was spotless, small though efficiently arranged and close to Balboa, downtown and many wonderful San Diego attractions, including the beaches. We did not rent a car ( though parking at Valerie's is included) and found buses, the Coaster and other public transport to be fun and easy. Definitely consider this sweet spot for your stay!

First impression was such a cute cottage! Privacy fence, front porch and personal parking spot Living space was just right. Bedroom had the perfect bed and pillows for my wife. LOL. Kitchen had full size stackable washer and dryer which came in handy. Was able to walk to many places top eat and drink nearby. Great place and highly recommended!

Our stay at the Golden Hill Balboa bungalow was just wonderful. This clean compact and nicely decorated home was just right for our 2 day exploration of Balboa Park. An added bonus was the historic neighborhood with its fun eateries and market. We appreciated the wide parking space right in front of the house, and the privacy as we sat out on the front porch. We were really happy with the cleanliness of the house-both inside and out. We didn't use the washer and dryer or much of the kitchen, but everything needed for cooking looked spotless. Shout-out....the bedding was very nice and mattress and pillows were so comfortable! From the initial contact, to our stay, to checking in and out, clear communication from Rodger's Vacation Rental made this part of our vacation worry free and effortless.

This is a wonderful place to stay and in a great neighborhood.

We stayed here for five days. It is close to everything and we had no problems getting transportation to this location in ten minutes or less. We walked the neighborhoods and felt very safe and people were friendly . The host had great communication and we had everything we needed . We used the market nearby for groceries and we were also within walking distance of target about ten blocks away. This is a great quiet place to stay and if we stay in San Diego again we will happily stay here again. Thanks Rodgers Hosts.

Balboa bungalow

Love the back porch, sitting out and having dinner that we picked up locally. Found a variety of offerings from a delicious Mexican bakery Thai food and great tacos all within a few blocks. Could not have been better. Ubers took us to the places that were further distance or on 26 street due to construction. Instructions were easy to follow, and had no difficulties at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this rental. It was spacious, comfortable, well kept, clean and had the extras I was looking for (washer and dryer, parking spot). The owner, Valerie, gave me all the info I needed ahead of time but still made herself available if I had any questions. Good location; not downtown proper so it was peaceful, but still close to all the places I wanted to go (Balboa Park, Chicano Park/Barrio Logan, close to the 5 so easy to get around). I have family in San Diego and plan on staying at this rental when I visit again. I stayed by myself but it would be ideal for a couple’s getaway too.
