About this property

Le Gîte de la Chouette

In the heart of Finistère, in a hamlet of character, the recently renovated cottage, opened in 2018, ensures tranquility and discovery of the valley of the Aulne: walk in a wooded area of 5 hectares bordered by two streams. Remarkable garden, which won us the first prize ex-aequo, the competition flowered gardens of the community of communes of Poher, in the category Establishments welcoming tourists in 2018.
We are labeled "Paysan Home". Apart from four vegetable gardens, we raise a few chickens, rabbits and sheep that are the joy of children. Garden products available in season on request.

Ground floor accessible to the PMR: kitchen / living room, bedroom with 1 bed 140, bathroom with large walk-in shower, toilet.
Clic-clac convertible in bed 2 places in the stay.

10 minutes from Carhaix, 20 minutes from the Valley of Saints and Huelgoat, near the Armorica Park and 60 minutes from the sea, north, south and west coast. Our situation allows all discoveries.
Swimming pool, golf, horse riding, tree climbing, archaeological museum, hiking trails, fishing, cinema nearby.

Une semaine hors du temps

Arriver au gîte de la chouette, c'est se couper du monde : l'environnement est paisible, on est entouré par la nature, les animaux, le temps file plus lentement. Ma fille de 2 ans 1/2 a passé son temps dehors, entre les visites aux moutons, aux poules, aux lapins, la balançoire... Et Brigitte et Michel sont des hôtes charmants, ravis de nous faire découvrir leurs jardins de fleurs et leurs potagers. La maison est agréable, les pièces sont spacieuses, lumineuses. Encore merci !

Superbe séjour dans la campagne bretonne, endroit idéalement situé pour rayonner dans la région. Le cadre était magnifique, notre petit garçon était émerveillé par les animaux. L'endroit est très agréable. On a aimé pouvoir rendre visite aux animaux, et être à l'écart de toute pollution sonore et lumineuse. La maison est conviviale, bien rénovée et les hôtes sont formidables! On est proche de certains sites mégalithiques (très belles balades à faire)et env. 1h des côtes.

Ländliche Idylle

Für uns (mein Mann und ich) war es perfekt. Die Realität hat die Bilder noch übertroffen. Sehr geräumige Wohnung über zwei Etagen. Liebevolle mit alten Möbeln eingerichtet. Wir wurden vom Inhaber Michel Vallée herzlich begrüßt und mit der Wohnung vertraut gemacht. In der räumlich großzügigen Wohnküche begrüßte uns ein herrlich duftender Rosenstrauß und frische Eier von den Hühnern, die schräg gegenüber leben. Als leidenschaftliche Hobby-Köche waren wir sehr angetan vom Herd mit drei Gasflammen plus schwarze Platte und Backofen (elektrisch). Auch Brigitte Vallée ist eine liebenswürdige Gastgeberin. Immer frische Eier, sich im Garten bedienen dürfen (es gab wilde Erdbeeren zu ernten!!!). Die Erlaubnis, Blumen schneiden zu dürfen für einen Strauß, den wir einer Freundin mitbrachten, die wir besuchten. Kurzum, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Es war wie zu Hause an einem anderen Ort. Ganz lieben und sehr herzlichen Dank an Brigitte und Michel Vallée, die uns einen wunderbaren und entspannten Urlaub ermöglichten. Für uns war die ländliche Einsamkeit eine bewußte Wahl und Entscheidung. Das muß man mögen und wollen. Der einzige Wermutstropfen ist das Internet. Es gibt in der Wohnung keinen Wlan-Router und somit nur äußerst sparsamen Empfang. Wir sagen dennoch "ausgezeichnet" und "außergewöhnlich". Sehr zu empfehlen!!! Wir werden wiederkommen.

Oase van rust.

Heel fijn onthaal door Brigitte en Michel. Schitterende vakantiewoning met een heel ruime inrichting. Je zit heerlijk afgelegen, tussen groen, vogels, schapen...en toch ben je snel bij een stadje, wandeling, paroisse. We hebben heel erg genoten van deze fijne week, zelfs met het wisselend weer. Bedankt.
