We loved it here, the place is artistic, bijou, well organised, comfortable. The location is hard to beat, in the thick of Montmartre with endless choice of food, drink, shops. A few steps from Sacre Coeur funicular, Abbesses Metro and many more Metro and bus options at Pigalle. But for all this activity the place itself is quiet and makes you feel like you’re in a special little Parisian corner. If you crane your neck out of the skylight you can see the top of Sacre Coeur, but no Eiffel view I’m afraid.
Twisty stairs to get in, so be ready to manoeuvre the suitcase!
Worth understanding the bed arrangements, generous size double bed up the ladder, but you have to climb over a large beam at the top, fine for most adults and our 8 year old, but younger, older, infirm or clumsy may want to sleep downstairs. There is a sofa that converts to a comfortable double in a lounge area which can be curtained off for privacy, it is a quality sofa bed and easy to get out and put away to sit on during the day. Then there is a single bed in the open plan eating/living/kitchen, which you can cover with a blanket by day. Plenty of wardrobe, hooks and places for storage, and lamps and sockets where needed. The table is a bit small and kitchen a little limited, so good for boulangerie breakfast or take away, but would be difficult to lay out a spread!
