From the moment you arrive you will feel instantly relaxed. We received a very warm welcome from Elisabeth and Jean-Christian. The Gite was very comfortable and well stocked with all the basics you need.The Gite is perfectly placed for visiting Rouen and other tourist attractions including Etretat and Honfleur.We very much look forward to staying here again in the future.

Friendly and kind hosts - great place to stay

Cosy gîte with a warm welcome in a beautiful location

La Petite Maison was the perfect place to stay to progress my French learning. We loved it and our hosts were very kind, welcoming and helpful. Beautiful gardens and surrounding countryside. Local shops in the village (which is within easy walking distance), include a boulangerie/pâtisserie, boucherie, farm fresh vegetables and a pharmacy. Also in the village is the 'Belle de Mai' restaurant and cafe situated opposite the Abbaye St Georges which is illuminated at night. Rouen city on the River Seine is easy to reach by the 530 bus. It has shops, restaurants, tearooms, history and a magnificent cathedral. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Petite Maison and totally recommend it!

Die Wohnung ist wunderschön und der Garten ebenso. Das Gelände ist komplett von einer Mauer umgeben was perfekt ist, wenn man den Hund dort frei laufen lassen möchte. Die Vermieter sind super nett, ansprechbar und trotzdem zurückhaltend. Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich.Die Abtei im Ort und der dazugehörige Garten sind sehenswert (für 6 macht man das aber leider nur ein mal). Ansonsten hat der Ort ein kleines Restaurant und einen tollen Bäcker. Öffnungszeiten sind, typisch für die Region, etwas kompliziert. Für Ausflüge nach Rouen ist die Lage perfekt. Weil Hunde offiziell nicht in ÖPNV-Bussen fahren dürfen (liegt aber wohl beim Fahrer, das zu entscheiden) sind wir eben die 15 Minuten mit dem Auto nach Rouen. Wenn man keine Angst vor Stadtverkehr hat, ist das kein Problem und die Parkmöglichkeiten waren völlig okay. Parkhaus ca. 20 für 8 Stunden ist nicht übertrieben. Wegen der Umweltplakette für Rouen (und Städte 150.000) gab es einige Verwirrung. Am Ende hieß es von der Touristeneninfo " die braucht man nicht mehr".Ansonsten gibt es entlang der Seine viel zu sehen. Nicht nur in Richtung Mündung sondern auch an Rouen vorbei ins Binnenland ist die Seine und ihre Dörfer sehr schön. Also: sehr zu empfehlen.

Ruhe und Entspannung nahe der Seine

Liebevolle und aufmerksame Gastgeber. Schöne Wohnung mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Gemütliche Terrasse mit altem Baumbestand für entspannte Abende. Sehr gute Bäckerei und Metzgerei im Ort. Auenlandschaft und Treidelwege an der Seine sind herausragend. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit.

We stayed here as a base for three stages of the Tour de France. We received a very warm welcome. The accommodation was truly sublime, spotlessly clean, and we enjoyed the beautiful garden! Everything was provided. Definitely recommended!

Prachtige locatie

De eigenaren zijn twee prachtige persoonlijkheden. Veel tips gekregen om het verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. We zijn er een week geweest en hebben veel in de omgeving kunnen doen en bekijken. Zeker een aanrader.
