If you are looking at a very unique property, this is it!
We designed this cabin for relaxing and getting away. The house is nicely furnished with all the amenities you would have at home, but in a natural setting. The views from the living room, master bedroom, screened porch, deck, and loft are all breathtaking. There is a 300 foot bluff across the river with a train track at the base. You can fish, swim, or just relax in the White River, which is right in the backyard. The river is a low water river most of the year and is nice and cold, perfect during the hot summer months. We have built a fire pit with firewood for those campfire type of evenings. The property has a 1 acre area out front that is perfect for a football or baseball game.
We have looked at several places to stay in the Mountain View area and found something we thought was missing. Most of the properties in the area are very rustic with little amenities. We wanted to combine the rustic feature with today's amenities, including features like internet and stainless steel appliances. There are several activities to do in the area that mostly have to do with the outdoors in the Ozarks. You can listen to bluegrass in town square, shop for antiques at the stores, or enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area. There are several guide services for fishing, horseback riding, canoeing, or hike in the national forest.
The Ozark folk center is within 8 miles of the cabin and Blanchard Springs Caverns are about 20 minutes away. There are an abundance of activities to do, and you can have fun knowing that you have an incomparable and comfortable cabin to come home to.

About Brant Barnes or Heath Stanley
We live in Fayetteville, AR and have always found Mtn. View an awesome place to get away. I was born and raised in Mtn. Home, AR an hour north of there. I am involved in several different businesses in the mid-south area. As a family we enjoy the mountains and the beach. We also have a 2 bedroom condo on the beach in Destin, FL. We enjoy watching other families enjoy the same places we do!

Why Brant Barnes or Heath Stanley chose Blue Mountain
We decided to build this cabin/house because it would be unique to the area. It has a rustic exterior, with a modern and comfortable interior and is located right on the White River. We originally bought the lots down on the river because of it's beauty. We always knew that nature can't be re-created. When you get an opportunity to buy something truly unique, jump on it. Although it is very secluded and peaceful, we wanted to have modern amenities like Jenn-Aire appliances, flat screen tv for football, and upscale furnishings. We wanted access to the internet so that we could stay there longer periods while staying in touch. I can get my work done in the mornings and then go enjoy nature the rest of they day!!
What makes this Cabin unique
Since our cabin is located right on the White River, you never need to leave the property once you arrive. You can float, swim and fish on site, enjoying the quiet mountain views and wildlife. There is an Arkansas Game and Fish put in close as well. We are 15-20 minutes to Walmart, but still in the middle of nowhere. There is also a 400 ft. bluff across the river with a train at the base. The C-130's from Jacksonville Air Force Base fly by on low altitude training runs. Overall just an awesome place! Our cabin also has satellite tv and internet.

My family and I thought the property was a super getaway. We would definitely go back.
We had a really great experience. The cabin itself is very comfortable and well equipped with lots of seating inside and out (including screened in back porch with quilts 😃), lots of towels, plenty of hot water, the kitchen was loaded with pots, pans, baking sheets, etc. and the coffee maker made great coffee, which is important you know? It took me until the second night to find the wine bottle opener so I left it in a more evident place upon our departure! It has thoughtful decorative and functional touches like some benches downstairs and sets of hooks on the walls for extra jackets in the kitchen and living areas. We picked this cabin because of the seclusion it offered as well as the appeal of the amenities of the cabin itself. The wide and long valley it is in is beautiful and serene. Purple clover was blooming everywhere, and it’s so pretty. The first evening coyotes began yipping from each end of the valley and one side, and it was so cool to hear them. Then the stars came out, and the sky above was some of the clearest stargazing we had ever seen. We brought our four wheelers to take into the national forest and one of the owners gave us permission to ride up and down the road which our kids did a lot. We also had permission to bring our dog, and she had a blast. We brought our own firewood for the outdoor fire pit, but there are some plastic but sturdy and comfortable chairs around it, and they just needed some brushing off. We had an outdoor fire and s’mores each night we were there. There’s a train track across the river and that was fun to see the train glide by, and the kids got a kick out of it, too. It went by at night but was very quiet. For a cabin that someone owns and rents out we give it 5 stars for sure. We had an all around super experience and would love to come back.
the white river cabinet
everything was good
they were everywhere
Great spot on the river but a bug infestation put a damper on it.
This cabin has a great location on the river, although it does require an 8 or 10 mile drive to get there from Mountain View. The outside of the place needs some TLC but the inside is well done and comes well equipped with everything you need. There was a infestation of Japanese beetles while we were there and it distracted from the wonderful surroundings that would have otherwise been better enjoyed.
Great place for a weekend fishing trip.
Great place to hangout for a long weekend. Beautiful views, good fishing, and just overall a great experience.
Great property in need of some TLC (exterior)
Property was great and clean, with the exception of coffee pot (not cleaned and therefore growing mold) and dirty dishes in dishwasher. Exterior also needed good cleaning. Otherwise, property was as advertised.
The cabin is nice. The bedroom with the king bed and the one with the queen are both on the second floor and share a bathroom. The other bathroom is downstairs. We called the owner upon our arrival because the satellite did not work. They never bothered to return our call. The location is very secluded so try to get there before dark or you will have a difficult time finding it. Upstairs room had wasps with a note on the window stating they were there. Funny, a can of wasp spray purchased the next day took care of them. Underbrush blocked the view of river from the cabin. Would be pretty if that were cut as I noticed other reviews stated the same thing.
The White River has exquisite trout fishing with guided service available in the area. There are also several boat and canoe rental spots nearby.
