Nestled in the hills above Kachemak Bay, the Garden House cottage features stunning mountain, glacier, water views, and abundant wildlife. The ideal setting for a relaxing getaway, an Alaskan adventure or both. Close to nature with all the comforts of home.
The Garden house was constructed in 2010 and is pleasantly furnished and pristine. This cottage features a kitchen, eating area, two bedrooms (each with a queen bed), one bathroom, and a comfortable living area.

Very nice cabin

A friend and I stayed for 2 nights. The cabin is very well appointed, very clean, and the beds are so comfortable. I would recommend this for a trip to Homer, as long as you have a car. It is about 5 minutes outside Homer.

Perfect place to stay in Homer!

My husband and I have stayed in many places in Homer over the years, and this one was the best ever! We appreciate it the great communication from the host and horses, the very comfortable beds, the cleanliness of the cabin, the very well-supplied kitchen, the bathroom sink being separated from the shower and toilet room, the washer and dryer, and list goes on. We used both beds as well as the pullout sofa bed and all were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here when in Homer again. Perfect in every way.! Thank you, Jennifer and hubby!

Always Our First Choice

These little cabins anre always our first choice when traveling to Homer. Property is immaculate and quiet, we have everything we need, and Jen and Jaret are the perfect hosts!

Moose, Moose….Moose!!

Great Property! Easy jump to town and great views. We watched moose in the yard and next to the house all evening and into the night. Will definitely be starying again!

Excellent place to stay in Homer area

My daughter and I stayed for 4 nights in the Bird house. The location is close to Homer, although not secluded. The cabin has everything you need. The entire cabin is very clean

What a GREAT Place to Stay!

Super clean, really well laid out and perfect situated to enjoy Homer by day and chill out in the quiet at night. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Homer! Probably the best VRBO I have stayed in yet, and I use VRBO a lot!

Beautiful clean property in a very pretty setting! Sand Hill Cranes right out our door. Lovely cabin with lots of room, everything you need and Alaska feel. Just perfect!

Nice and Simple

Very clean ,nice amenities, quiet , owners very friendly, pretty area . Could use alittle more small helps like shelving or cabinetry, wall hooks in bathrm to set clothes, personal items. A door between sink area and livrm for privacy and noise- At least a nice curtain! We enjoyed our stay, the view, and watching the sandhill cranes on the nicely landscaped lawn rt in front of our cabin! Thankyou!

BEST KEPT SECRET

Every time we travel to Homer, these are our go-to cabins. This stay was extra sweet, as both cabins just had a little lift, with fresh paint, new furniture, some new flooring, and a returning pair of sandhill cranes. The cabins are always immaculate, the bathrooms are well stocked, you could cook anything you want in the kitchen and not worry about utensils, and the property is perfectly manicured. This time around the discussion was about officially making this place our annual 4th of July tradition, with new grandchildren and best friends.

Highly recommend

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well appointed. It is situated in a quiet location but is close to restaurants, downtown and the spit. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We will plan on staying here whenever we visit Homer!

Love Bear Canyon Cottages!

As always, we had a wonderful stay! We were in the Bird House for this visit, but both cabins are beautifully furnished, very clean, fully stocked for cooking and baking (we had most meals in the cabin), and located on a gorgeous property. The area is peaceful and quiet, with lovely songbirds keeping to keep you company. The check in/check out process could not be easier, and property management (Janet and Jaret) is super easy to work with and easy to contact. These cabins are always our first choice when traveling to Homer.
