The house was very clean and in good repair.The kitchen was well stocked with all of the extra things that you would need to cook any kind of meals. There was a big storm that came through and delayed our checkout process. NC 12 was closed. The host was very understanding and allowed us to check out way after checkout time. We were very grateful for his kindness.He was also very quick to answer. Any message that we sent before our check-in during our check-in and after checkout.Overall, a great experience at OBX. We would definitely stay there again.

Our week is Salvo early August 2025

Great place for large family vacation. Clean inside but Check in delayed due to cleaner not finished in time. House spacious inside, bedrooms comfortable with bathrooms off every bedroom and common areas, kitchen very well stocked with everything you need. 2 dishwashers, 2 fridges in the home a plus. Waher dryer added bonus. Swim Pool great, we opted to heat since cooler temps our week and worked great. Adequate outside furniture on pool and decks. Entertainment-pool table ,games movies, books TV's galore. Elevator, gas grill very nice. Tons of beach equipment/ toys available. Hot tub okay. We had outside hot tub panels fixed that were falling apart and rinsed the hot tub filters ourselves for clearer water. The big downer was the outside. Overgrown bushes, trash & broken pallet underneath the front entrance steps of the house. Volleyball sand court extremelyovergrown with weeds and burrs. Useless backyard, A real downer since we hoped to use that area for the kids but couldn't. Clearer pathway to culdasac to the beach should be maintained. Owner very good and prompt with concerns and issues. Maintence staff very polite.

Gorgeous views, bright and clean house!

We had a really nice stay. The house was in a great spot you can see the ocean and the sound from the family room and kitchen area. It is very bright and cheerful as it should be when you stay at the beach! There were 12 of us and slept us all perfectly. The 7 bathrooms were a huge hit with us, we never have enough usually when we rent other places. Salvo is beautiful, beaches amazing and town is quiet. The owner responded immediately to any questions and was super helpful. The pool area was clean and free of bugs. I would Rent again. Here are some pictures of the views and the proximity to the beach which was a short walk!

The house is roomy, with good amenities and an awesome elevator for luggage/folks who struggle with stairs. Quiet neighborhood with a short walk to the ocean. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Great accommodation

This was the perfect setting for a family gathering. Everyone had their own room and bathroom and the seniors were able to use the entire house thanks to the elevator. The house is as nice as the pictures show - quality furnishings and an extremely well equipped kitchen - overall great stay.

Great week away with family

Our stay was great
. One inconvenience was that we booked this place for a few reasons, it suited our families needs and it had an elevator for a family member who is handicapped. Prior to arriving (4 days) we received a notice that the elevator was broken and that we would be refunded $200. A nice gesture but honestly, it’s not about the money, we really needed the elevator. Four days prior to our arrival was not the time for our family to look for a new location to suit us. The volleyball court at the home was not maintained, partial sand, mostly weeds and painful to the feet when playing. The pool was great but the area around the pool lacked loungers for a house that holds 14 guests. All in all, it was a great week with family. Kitchen was amazing with everything that we needed and more. Would consider staying in Salvo again.

Adult Children Reunion/Vacation

This is a VERY nice house with all amenities provided. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, lots of space for each family to have some privacy. Walk to the beach is a little farther than we thought, but not bad. House needs a little TLC in places from wear and tear. Our only real issue is the air filters were completely clogged up causing some issues with some family members with Asthma. Made the owner aware and he was great to work with. Filters in the house and we changed them. Said they were supposed to be changed monthly by maintenance. Go ahead and book a stay here. You won't be sorry!

Great place. Well laid out. Plenty of room for 9 adults with room to spare. Needs update on fridges and some general maintenance. Well stocked. Did not like the fact that only one set of towels are provided.

Nice, but needs work

This is a very nice house and great location. Unfortunately, there is a lot of maintenance that needs to happen. There is a ceiling leak in second story bedroom during a heavy rain storm. Water leaks onto the bed. So if you dont have great weather, you lose a bedroom. This was reported to the owner and he stated that siding on house is missing and water gets in. I read some old reviews and found that this same issue happened three years ago and yet still has not been corrected. disappointing. Most screens doors are damaged. bathroom sliding glass doors off the rails and difficult to close. bathroom door will not latch. Deck nails around pool starting to come up, so you have to be careful stepping. These are all fixable things, but the property has not been maintained well. The gas fireplace would not come on. The owner was made aware of all these things. Hopefully he will have these things taken care of.

As the title of this home states, it is heavenly. The home is beautiful and close to the beach access. The pool and hot tub were great to have. If getting the pool heat, it may not be ready the first day because it takes 24-36 hours to heat. I would've liked to know this and thought the next group may too. We had an issue with the pool not getting warm, but the property manager, Vino, was responsive to our concerns and handled the matter as quickly as possible. Vino was very kind and understanding. There are a lot of neighborhoods cats, and they are a joy to see. The stereo systems were inaccessible or I at least didn't figure it out. A book would be nice to explain these things, but there is not one at the house. I recommend having your phone handy to see the checkout instructions and garbage night information. My group loved this home and the location! Oh and if going outside the driveway there are burrs that get stuck in shoes or foot if not wearing shoes. You will track these into the home, so check your shoes!

Wonderful stay

3rd week in September, we had 7 adults and 3 children. The pool was not cold, but not warm. Check in was easy and the house itself is spacious and clean. We had a really wonderful time and would highly recommend the property- below are just a few minor suggestions- first; the master bedroom and the lack of window treatment on the top arch window. It’s extremely difficult to sleep in with the sunlight pouring in. Please consider covering it. 2nd- update the pictures of the house and it’s surroundings. The map and pictures are misleading. There are multiple new houses blocking views of the ocean and the house directly next door is under active construction. None of these are accurately represented. Third- there is a gas grill at the house. Not sure where it came from, but we rented one after being told there was not one. Fourth- Only the master bathroom had a shower mat- the rest did not. Fifth- the temperature gauges were not consistent from room to room. If the thermostat was set at 74 on the 3rd floor, the temperature would easily fall to 66 in the master bedroom and be freezing cold. Sixth- the door in the house leading to the pool didn’t latch close properly and therefore could not be secured. We had to lay a stool in the frame to keep it from being opened. A major concern for us leaving the house and not having our things stolen. Seventh- two twin bed room’s bathroom door was broken and couldn’t be closed for privacy. Things we were extremely pleased about- 1- kitchen was stocked with everything we could think of (although the deep fryer cable was missing,) 2- we were able to easily manage the overall temperature with the thermostat on each floor. 3- the beds were VERY comfortable. Everyone slept very well. Linens were very nice and clean. 4- the house had a crib, pack and play, high chair, feeding chair and games (we played cards against humanity one night and had a ton of laughs) 5- the elevator was amazing to use and we had lots of gear to use to take to the beach including a new wagon. 6- the patio furniture was comfortable and enjoyable to sit on. They were clean and not broken. 7- Communication with the owner was timely. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and we thank the owner for his hospitality. **also a note- there are a ton of feral cats in the brush and grassland surrounding the house. People showed up to feed them. They would roam frequently around the house. They didn’t bother us.

Comfortable and Kid Friendly

Roomy upstairs living area for parents and 6 kids under 4. Beds were size-able and surprisingly comfortable for a rental. Everything was functioning well. No issues whatsoever. We would absolutely stay again.

Destination Wedding

Our son had a destination wedding in the OBX and we had family and friends stay with us in this beautiful home! Great location very clean. The bedrooms are perfect for adult groups and the mattresses are wonderful. My husband stated best sleep he had had in a long time. The accommodations supported a large group.and the house was very clean with a fully supplied kitchen with everything you would need. Property manager was excellent and responded promptly to every question I had about the property. I only have one recommendation for this home and that would be to simplify TV systems. However I would highly recommend! 5 star rating!
