Beautiful house with fantastic pool near Marrakech

The house is large and full of lovely details. We enjoyed the beautiful pool and the lovely food prepared by Mohammed's wife. The owners are very attentive and communication is perfect. The house is about 20 minutes from Marrakech centre and the description is very accurate. The only drawback was the barking of the two (very friendly) dogs almost all nights long.

Dear Manuela Thank you for your comments. We are very happy to notice that you appreciated the house, the pool and the gorgeous food from Mohammed's wife. I am sorry that you did not tell us about the dogs barking at night. As you know, we have 3 friendly dogs and it is easy to keep the dogs at the entrance of the property, which is 350 meters away from the house. If we had been informed quickly about the dogs the problem would have been solved in the following minute. I hope that you enjoyed your journey in Morocco as much as you enjoyed your stay at our house. Best regards

Beautiful villa, very quiet location, amazing pool. We were very well looked after by Jean-Denis and Mohamed during our two week stay in Marrakech. The villa is very spacious and well equipped for a family group with table tennis, a Pétanque court and of course the amazing pool for entertainment and a well stocked kitchen with all the accessories you could need and plenty of glasses etc. The dishwasher was a great addition. We took full advantage of the food prepared by Mina (Mohamed's wife) which we all very much enjoyed - it meant there was very little to no cooking needed while we were on holiday. We did make it into Marrakech a few times to explore the Souk's and to enjoy rooftop dinners in the medina. Mr Hasni the driver was reliable and reasonably priced - we did not need to hire a car.

Away from the hustle and bustle

Definitely an oasis and a piece of heaven on earth for those who are seeking tranquility, away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. The house is beautifully designed, very Moroccan, located near a tiny village and several mosques. And we (a group of 8) can confirm the friendliness of the three dogs, as well as of guard and gardener Mohamed, whose wife Mina prepares delicious meals on request. Tenants should be aware that they stay approx. 20 to 30 minutes away (by car) from the supermarket (Carrefour) and city. However, arrangements can easily be made with driver Asni, who is very reliable and a great, friendly chauffeur. Though the mattresses on the beds in the house are hard and not very comfortable, it is a nice place to stay for those who like to combine activity (city, golf) and relaxation.

Beautiful, calm and peaceful - a little slice of paradise!

We had the most wonderful summer staying at this beautiful house and we're so happy to add to the long list of positive reviews because this place is exceptional! So much thought has gone in to preparing this house for guests and it really felt like our own home for the time we were there . Anne and Jean were so helpful throughout the entire booking process and beyond - Jean was always available by whatsapp to answer any questions and help us with anything we needed. Thank you so much, Jean and Anne ! I loved how peaceful and tranquil it is - yet you're not far from the buzz of the Medina should you wish to pop out for a meal or shopping. Supermarkets nearby too , so you can simply stock the place with food and just spend your days round their amazing (very clean!) pool if you'd rather not venture out. And what a fabulous pool they have ! We would easily spend around 5 or 6 hours out there each day. Mohamed looks after the grounds of the property and discreetly pops in to water the land everyday and to ensure everything is ok. There is so much land you honestly don't know he is there , but we would always look forward to hearing his motorbike through the gate and the children were always to happy to see him. Mohamed is the warmest, smiliest person and always available to help with anything. His wife also cooks the most amazing dishes which you can pre order each day. Such a brilliant set up and means you can have some authentic moroccan food delivered straight to your kitchen. There are 3 dogs on the property (Mohamed looks after them) and they are the friendliest dogs i've ever met. I don't know how they have been trained to be so accepting and affectionate to guests and yet still be alert to outside noises (it is a very safe area - i simply mean there are likely to be some stray dogs or cats lingering outside the gate which they pick up on). The dogs are quiet, and the children adored them. There are also some lovely cats pottering about who don't come in to the property but they do hang out on the porch outside and we loved spending time with them. It really was a little bubble of paradise and we miss it. The house is fantastic and Marrakesh itself is such a great place to visit. We hope to stay again very soon. Thanks again, Jean and Anne (and Mohamed!) Sarah & family x

Th pool was 28 degres when you were here… starting march, we swim until november, of course it’scooler but the sun warms it up a bit. Welcome again, there will be new improvements next winter to be ready for a wonderful 2023. By tha way, we made new photos of the inner house with some new deco here and there. A bit of change to become even better. Best regards

This is a wonderful property about a 25 minute drive from the Medina. The villa is spacious and very comfortable with literally the best pool I have ever seen in a vacation rental (20 metres long and fresh as a daisy!). There are lots of lovely little shady spots to sit and read and a, slightly unprectable, petanque court to while away some time. TV is good, WiFi is good. We were met by the hosts and shown round the property so that we were fully aware of all the amenities. M. Asni, who is the driver 'attached' to the villa is an absolute god-send, ferrying us around in the early morning and late evening without complaint and much cheaper than taxis. Mohammed, who is the property caretaker, is extremely helpful and keeps things running smoothly and can also arrange delicious traditional meals. Be aware that it's a long walk anywhere, but for a peaceful retreat this villa is hard to beat.

Cordialement. A stunning house, location and all round fabulous holiday!

An amazing house, so well equipped and beautiful. The gardens are stunning. The pool is brilliant. We all loved the table tennis! Mohammed's wife cooks delicious tagine and delivers on his moped at very short notice. Only 20 minutes into Marrakech with Hasni available also at short notice! We had the most lovely relaxing time and ventured out into the city, up into the Atlas mountains and made the super early start to go on a hot air balloon which was the most incredible experience! We would love to come back :)

Super stay

A wonderful countryside property away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Having suffered the usual naff UK summer my family and I were longing for the Autumn sun (of which Morocco has an abundance). From the outset Jean was a great help, promptly answering all our questions. Jean was also a fantastic host and of great help when the Moroccan government changed their COVID policy; thank you Jean. The property is a lovely traditional retreat with everything one needs for a family holiday. Our kids loved the 20m pool which is perfectly located amongst Olive trees to provide useful shelter from the afternoon sun (the weather became hotter as they day went on). There was also plenty of areas should you want to top up on the tan! The property remained cool throughout the day and benefits from a sheltered tennis table which was extensively used during the hottest parts of the day. Mohammed, who looks after the property, is a great individual – whilst his English is limited, we had no issues communicating with the assistance of some rusty GCSE French, Google translate and pointing. Jean was also on hand via Whatsapp if required. The cooking provided by Mohammed’s wife, wow, so good and as tasty as anything you’ll find in the restaurants of Marrakesh. Food always arrived on time, was reasonably priced, and always plentiful….a real treat. Kebir (the taxi driver) was also on hand, so a car was not required during our stay. The extensive grounds are also home to several cats and probably the friendliest dogs I’ve ever come across in my life………. they’re missed. Highly recommended……whilst some may enjoy the liveliness of Marrakesh, being only 15 km from the city you’re not far away if you fancy a place to relax, whilst being close enough to explore. Thanks again Jean and good luck for the future.

Hello Boris, Thank you for your nice comment, as you noticed, the house is quite close to the medina although it is located in the great silence of the countryside. We are happy that your kids and yourself have enjoyed your stay and especially the friendly contact with our nice dogs. We are still improving the house and the garden, so welcome again with new surprises around!

Beautiful Riad

The photos don't do justice to how beautiful and spacious this riad is - we stayed as a group of eight friends and had the most wonderful time. The bedrooms are large and comfortable, there's lots of communal space both inside and out, and even a fireplace for cold evenings. Anne-Joubert responded to all our questions beforehand while Jean Denis met us to show us round and make sure we had everything we needed. The food, cooked by Mohammed's wife, was exceptional, a real treat. We will definitely return next year.

Beautiful house and pool

This house is absolutely gorgeous, as seen in the photos. My friends and I enjoyed dining outside both by the pool and in the shady area by the kitchen. The housekeeper brought us dinner cooked by his wife and it was delicious! We had 5 adults staying in the house and there was plenty of space. It was very easy to get to and from Marrakech and even a tour of the mountains with our driver Kabir! Kabir was so accommodating, and we were able to plan our rides with him the day before and then text him if we were running late. Great hosts as well, who are very responsive. It was definitely one of my most memorable vacations. I’d love to return one day with my family. Thanks again!

Thank you for your kind comment about your stay in the house. We are delighted that you enjoyed everything! Indeed the house is very easy to access and Mr. Kabir, the taxi driver we advise is very reliable even at late hours. For the meals taken on the spot, we will enrich the proposed menu, so that you can taste other Moroccan specialties during your next stay. Welcome with your family and friends. Receive our best memory!

We are in Morocco since 2003 and founded a family-run publishing company. We release guides, books, maps and postcards. Since we are very familiar with the region, we are happy to share good addresses and our favourite places. We love nature, hiking, reading, listening to music, photography and authentic landmarks.

We chose this place for its quietness and greenery: a quiet olive grove in the middle of fields. Inspired by the Berber tradition we built our house with adobe so that coolness in summer and warmth in winter are guaranteed. In addition, there are a terrace in the sun, Mashrabiya windows and an arbour made of cane. Modern comfort is guaranteed. The house is perfectly equipped and the windows open onto nature to benefit at its best.

Absolutely peaceful, the garden is a true oasis and an ideal place to relax far from the crowd. With its abundance of space, both indoor and outdoor, the house is very pleasant to live in for families: small and large living rooms, terrace in the shade or in the sun. Whether Berber, African or Arab-Andalusia, the simple but cosy decoration was inspired of the influences that embossed the Moroccan culture.
