We are located in Peoria, Oregon on the Willamette River. Our spacious (600sq ft) quarters with it's own entrance is privately located on the North end of our 100 year old granary residence. We offer beautiful grounds to stroll, the river to enjoy, and the peacefulness of country living.
Here at the Old River Granary there are plenty of opportunities to play, rest, and relax. Take a walk down the river, shoot a game of pool, or just relax in the hammock by the river.
Step out on the private balcony and see both sunrise over the Cascade mountains and sunset over the coast range. Views vary with the seasons.
Corvallis, home of Oregon State University, is located just 10 minutes away and offers a friendly home town atmosphere with a variety of stores, river front restaurants and a wonderful farmers market (Apr-Nov) with fresh local produce, fruits, flowers, honey, jams and more.
The Old Granary is truly a little piece of paradise, away from the stress of everyday life. We think your stay at the River Guest Quarters will be an experience to remember...and we welcome you!

About Kathy and Gregg Jakobson
Moved from Laguna Beach to escape the density of California and feel so blessed to have purchased this historic 100 year old granary on the 10th largest river in the United States. Country living is a dream come true.
Kathy and Gregg Jakobson purchased this Apartment in 1997
Why Kathy and Gregg Jakobson chose Linn County
We purchased this property the day it went up for sale. We were walking our dogs from the home we had been renting which we intended to rent for a year before deciding to make Oregon our permanent residence. It was providential! How often does a 100 year old Granary on the water come up for sale? The rest is history
What makes this Apartment unique
We fell in love with this unique piece of property, the old barn, the Douglas fir wood floors the wood beams and ceilings, the incredible river view the country living that provides serene and peaceful surroundings. Watching the eagles dive into the water and come up with a fish, all the species of birds right outside our windows. Relaxing in our hammock overlooking the river. Remodeling and watching all the potential this property had was an amazing journey. We fall more in love with it with each passing day and remain grateful for our lives here at the Old Granary.

Very clean and comfortable riverside property. A relaxing get away, but still close to Corvallis!
We were in Corvallis to visit our OSU student. We wanted a quiet and relaxing place to stay. The setting is unique. The Willamette river meanders directly behind the property. We watched a bald eagle fish in the river. We were not directly in Corvallis, but still close enough to be at our daughter’s dorm within about 15 minutes. The owners, Greg and Kathy, were very accommodating. The unit was well stocked and comfortable. We bbq’d one evening. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing get-a-way near Corvallis, this is an excellent choice. We give it two thumbs up!
THIS WAS AMAZING.. Best place EVER
This was wonderful. If you want a peaceful place to relax your mind and think, this is the place. They Deliver, whaterver you see in the pictures is what you get and more. Kathy and Gregg were very welcoming and kind plus they let you have your privacy. Will definitely go back. 👍🏾👍🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Great for families!
Kathy and Gregg were lovely hosts. They made us feel right at home. My family and I had a wonderful time playing along the river bank, shooting pool in the barn and simply relaxing in the cozy apartment. The bed was very comfortable, the apartment well appointed, and our hosts were friendly, yet respectful of our privacy. Our hosts gave us great recommendations for local restaurants to explore. I will recommend this place to all my friends who are looking to leave the city behind, without sacrificing creature comforts. P.S. good WiFi...
We are so pleased that the beautiful weather we have been blessed with so far this winter allowed our guests to get out and enjoy the river. We find it fun and relaxing to turn on the gas fireplace and shoot a few games of pool every now and then. Glad to know our guests went out and enjoyed shooting some games in the pool room.
Your privacy is top priority! We love meeting and greeting our guests upon arrival, we are here when needed, otherwise the property is yours to roam around, relax and enjoy the serenity the river brings and the peacefulness of living in the country.
Our heartfelt appreciation for recommending our property to friends and family.
This was an awesome find in the Corvallis area and we can't wait to return! Kathy and Greg made us feel very comfortable and at home on their property. The place is adorable and extremely peaceful!! We loved it!
Beautiful, Tranquil, Restful
Kathy and Gregg's place was absolutely beautiful, quaint, relaxing... My husband and I were attending a wedding in Corvallis and this place was perfectly located!!! It was close enough to town for anything we needed...groceries, eateries, shopping...and far enough away from the center of town that you felt a million miles away from hustle and bustle. Kathy and Gregg made us feel like we were visiting family or good friends. We especially enjoyed their beautiful dog, Terra. We had to leave our fur babies at home and Terra gave us our "dog fix" for the four days we stayed at the granary.
The accommodations were perfect and had everything we needed along with a great view. We are still talking about how cozy and comfortable the bed was!!
Thank you Kathy, Gregg, and Terra for a wonderful place to spend our first four days in the Pacific Northwest!
Living in the country is not for everyone, however if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing place the Riverhaus offers this and more. Corvallis is our little town of happenings and will provide you with most of what you need and require. The Willamette Valley has numerous wineries and local farms that provide fresh produce. Gathering together Farms in Philomath located about 20 minutes from the Riverhaus has an amazing restaurant which serves farm grown greens, vegetables and fresh fish from the coast. We love our tranquil surroundings and welcome you to share our property while in the Corvallis/Willamette Valley area. Our goal is to provide a home away from home atmosphere where you feel welcome, and want to return time and time again.
Heaven on earth
So I want to tell all how great the place was. How great the morning and evening view of the Willamette river right outside your window was. How cute and rustic but very comfortable their home was. How wonderful Kathy and Greg are. How we enjoyed it so much it has become our new favorite place to stay when visiting our son at OSU but we can't only because we are trying to keep this gem of a place to ourselves. Sorry! Lol
We feel so blessed to share our little piece of heaven with our guests. Very hard for us to get up in the morning, the river calls to us and repeats, be still, be quiet, enjoy the view and the wonder of nature. Our dinners outside while enjoying the beautiful sunsets are amazing. We welcome you to the Rivehaus and hope that your stay will bring you back again and again.
Easy access to walking, jogging and bicycling on flat country roads surrounded by acres of farmland. Wine tours throughout the Willamette Valley are a must. Steps from front door enjoy boating, kayaking, swimming, fishing, river floats or just relax and watch the river flow.
