Luxury Chalet Apartment with stunning views of Mont Blanc and valley

This spacious apartment with stunning, panoramic views is situated on the top floor of an attractive typical Savoie alpine chalet.
It offers non obstructive views to the entire Haute Tarentaise valley, including the Mont Blanc Massif and Bourg-Saint-Maurice ensuring you a true "zen" feeling both when you wake up as when you arrive after a nice day of skiing, cycling or hiking!

It is located in the village of Les Coches, in the heart of the vast Paradiski area (425km of slopes) and is great for both winter and summer holidays. Les Coches is known as "Montchavin La Plagne" since 2016 and one of the center villages in the ski domains La Plagne, Les Arcs and Peisey-Vallandry. It is the perfect starting base for a mountain excursion in either direction!
Sportive skiers can enjoy a ski trip in the entire domain stretching from Les Coches, over La Plagne even to Champagny-en-Vanoise!

Only 250m from the first lift, the apartment is close to all the village amenities, yet enjoys peace and quiet, resulting in a beautiful Alpine retreat.

The spacious apartment sleeps 6 adults comfortably. Sleeping areas include one larger bedroom (a king-sized bed with en-suite facilities), a twin bedroom, and the use of a quality and comfortable fold out sofa bed.
The accommodation features a spacious living room with high vaulted ceiling, connected to the dining area with authentic wooden Savoie chairs and a fully equipped kitchen.
The living area provides comfortable sofas and a flat screen television with a DVD player and satellite/internet TV. The kitchen allows you to cook a real meal (!), offers a microwave, separate large oven and a full-size, quiet dishwasher.
We also have free, good working WIFI available in the apartment! WIFI quality supports Netflix, zoom calls,... .

NEW since winter 2024: all beds have new mattresses and the kitchen has a new oven!

The apartment has a large family bathroom, a separate toilet and one bedroom has a separate bathroom with shower and sink.

The apartment benefits from high-vaulted, beamed ceilings giving an additional feeling of space: you never have the idea you actually are in an apartment!
The french windows that lead from the living area onto the large balcony provide panoramic views and give a superb backdrop to your stay. Enjoy extended panoramic sights, or the classic "mer de nuages" (sea of clouds) only true unobstructed mountain views can offer you!

The apartment is part of the "Les Chalets de Wengen" residence, providing the added benefit of access to an on-site indoor swimming pool (free) and Spa facility including jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Yet thanks to the fact it is located in an isolated chalet means you do not have the classic "buzz" of a ski complex. Add to that the fact you are on a top floor and you know you have enough privacy.

The reception in the main building has an open fireplace, comfortable seating and pool table.
There is free car parking right outside of the apartment.
Free trolleys are available from the reception for arrival and departure days.

Important note is that Les Coches is a seasonal station, very active in summer and winter, but very quiet in spring and autumn. Outside winter and summer season, you need to go to the valley for shops, swimming pool,....

The apartment is really close to the slopes just a short walk to the village. The apartment is a good size, it has beautiful views over the mountains. Everything was well organised in terms of access and the apartment was clean and ready for our arrival. The property manager and owners are very helpful and responsive. This is our 2nd time staying in this apartment and I would certainly recommend it.

Lush apartment close to the slopes

The apartment is great, quite big for mountain standards, and the spa area is amazing - it looks like it’s been very recently renovated. Be aware, you need to book in a 30 minute slot for the sauna and steam room, and it’s best to do that at 8am for the following day.Communication with the cleaner and the owner is very easy. We loved our stay and would definitely boo again. Les Coches is great, perfect to access the whole Paradiski area

A comfortable and well equipped chalet. Great views from the balcony and a short walk into the village shops and restaurants and, more importantly, the chair lift up to plan boe. Easy to self cater with proper cooker/oven and a dishwasher. Nice to have a larder with a few basic food items left from past guests. The short drive up from the valley makes this a good option for arriving by car. Would stop here again if we skied this area. Thanks

It was our second stay in 'les Coches' during last week of August. The apartment is very cosy and relaxing. In 'Les Coches' are plenty of shops open so that one does not always need to go to Bourg St Maurice for daily shopping. A perfect location for mountain walks. In the apartment was a lot of information for tips for trips and in the kitchen we found everything available for those who want to cook. We come back :-) Theo & Suzanne Belgium

Unfortunately the pre stay clean was missed, but the owner contacted us to apologise and to refund the value of the clean so no harm was done. TV remote control was missing, again no real hardship. Apartment has great views and is well equipped. would recommend hiring a ski locker in Les Coches to save walking up and down with skies each day. Shower in apartment quite weak but hot. WiFi is an extra payable in apartment along with parking, expected to be included.

Spacious, clean and cosy chalet with amazing views.

I stayed in this lovely chalet with my two daughters and son for two weeks in Feb 2017. Firstly the instructions to find the chalet were superb. The high ceiling in the lounge area gives a real feeling of space, the kitchen area is well organised and has an array of equipment. A pantry too with extras was very useful as we were self catering. The whole chalet was very clean and fresh smelling and had a cosy feeling. The view from the lounge Windows is stunning. The bathroom and ensuite were uptodate and the bedrooms comfortable. My only nag would be that better lighting would help as it did feel a little dark for reading etc. Also some tiles had been broken by previous rental people - when we reported this to the owners they apologised and said they would have them repaired. The walk up the hill to the lifts for skiing certainly keeps you fit! Overall lovely chalet.

Two week holiday in Les Coches

Lovely apartment with stunning views. The apartment was very clean and well equipped with everything you need if you are making your own meals. We were a party of 3 adults and 2 young children and there was plenty of space to sleep (the sofa bed is very comfortable) although only one toilet in the apartment. Finding the chalet was easy on arrival. Parking in Les Coches was limited, due to the fact it was half term holidays, although we did eventually find a space within 5 minutes walk. Access to and from the lifts involves a short walk through the village, although there are stairs and lifts to negotiate so it can be tricky with small children. It took around 10 minutes to walk to the Plan Bois chair lift. If you have ski lessons for little ones, you need to take a further lift up to the Les Coches gondola, so need to leave around 30 mins before start time during busy periods. One minor issue is the Wi-Fi signal in the apartment. We needed to connect for work, so paid for connection to the Wi-Fi offered by the third party provider at the complex. It was very intermittent so I wouldn’t recommend paying for this. The apartment does not have free Wi-Fi. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the owners and manager were very helpful and easy to communicate with. I would absolutely recommend.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cet appartement. Il correspond parfaitement aux photos et avec une vue incroyable sur le mont blanc et les montagnes de la tarentaise. L appartement est situé dans un chalet, très propre, très calme et à proximité du village savoyard qui a tous les commerces. With a busy job in the Pharmaceutical sector and 2 wonderful girls, I try to balance my busy live by travelling to the mountains as much as possible: during summer for the nature and hikes and in the winter season for outdoor skiing and just being in the mountains!

Why they chose this property

It was love at first sight with the apartment: the spacious living room with wooden ceiling, large balcony and amazing views.
The location is excellent: very close to the ski lifts but still in a quiet area to enjoy a silent stay. With two young kids this is important!
This property is excellent for winter holiday (skiing, snowboarding,...) and summer (hiking, cycling,...). Les Coches is a beautiful village with a character and linked to a very big skiing area. It is like being in a rural area without the disadvantages, yet having the vast ski areas at close proximity!
Les Coches is also a very family oriented village with kindergarten and play areas. The big swimming pool in Montchavin is also a great advantage.

What makes this property unique

The excellent view to the Haute Tarentaise valley and mountains, the quiet but central implantation and the very "village" like surroundings without being too isolated! The privacy is priceless.
