Easy close location to town with a partial ocean view of moonstone beach. The house is VERY DATED and in need of updates, repairs, maintenance, deep cleaning, and DE CLUTTERING. Filled with 1950 to 1970's JUNK like a garage sale. It is loaded inside and out with tons of cutesy clutter. The "Garden" is a joke, filled with a jungle of mismatched plants, uneven steps and cracked concrete, poor lighting, uninviting seating areas & a small dank mosquito pond.NOPE

Nice, updated and better than the pictures show

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed there mid-september 2025. It's been updated since the pictures were taken and it much better-- New TVs, granite countertops, etc.It's in a great location and easy to access.Some of the reviews complained about stairs. If you access the house from the left and into the back yard, there are no stairs. Other reviews complained about musty smells. That's gone if it existed. Also they provide a box fan to cool down if needed.

An enchanting stay in Cambria

A great location with an incredible view of the Pacific. The home was super comfortable and clean and we’ll definitely be back.

Great time

Cambria is a wonderful time. The view from this property is amazing, there are places to hang out for all weather conditions- nice outdoor patio for when it’s sunny and warm, partially enclosed sun porch for when it’s sunny but cool, and fully enclosed sun porch for the windy or rainy weather. Easy walk to moonstone beach or town.

That View!

Very tidy, cute, comfortable house, perfect size for two people. Great ocean view. Easy walking distance to town of Cambria and the beach. Good dog-walking neighborhood!

The View We'd Dreamed Of

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located near Cambria's Main Street. It's on a hill, giving you the feeling that you're in the pines, and is overlooking the south end of Moonstone Beach. The beds are extremely comfortable! The kitchen worked well for us.The master bedroom and bath, living area, kitchen, screened sunroom, and views are on the upper level. There is a small bedroom downstairs, laundry, and a very small serviceable bathroom. The house may be entered, from the garage, through the downstairs bedroom, and up a flight of stairs. If you have trouble with stairs, you may walk around the side of the house up a paved steep path and enter through the front door. The master bedroom and bath are on this level. There are 4 stairs with a handrail to the kitchen, living, sunroom area.The yard worked well for our dog. It was a wonderful vacation home!

The house smelled of mold, even after several days of airing out. Many uneven trip hazards throughout the house , patios snd walkways. Iron stair rail is loose and wobbly. The second bedroom is located in dank dark basement area. Guest occupying this room bitten by bugs while sleeping. We left three days early as experience so unpleasant snd disappointing.

Well-managed vacation rental

Quaint Home w/ view!

My husband and I wanted a little r&r for a few days. We packed up our pup and headed to Cambria. This is a quaint property with a wonderful view of the ocean! Great location, close to everything. We were aware there might be some construction going on next door. We figured we are out amonst nature most of the day anyway. Besides asking a truck to move when we arrived we were not affected by the construction. Had a wonderful stay!

Amazing views and relaxing home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved staying here. It’s a nice quiet neighborhood with easy access to hiking and walking trails plus near the downtown area. House was very clean and our small dogs loved the yard. It’s an older house but well maintained. The only thing we would suggest is they upgrade the beds to a better mattress like a foam mattress. Otherwise everything else was great. Would stay here again.

Relaxing with a beautiful view!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the house. For us, above anything else is a dealbreaker. The view was fantastic and it was great to have coffee in the morning and listen to the waves. Very comfortable house with a full kitchen. The master bed was very comfortable. The house is about a 10 minute walk from the Moonstone Beach. 3 minutes from the town. Mountain biking is very close and rideable to and from the house. Highly recommend “The View!”

Good value!

Cambria is great! It was our first visit and we enjoyed the entire area. Lots of places to walk/hike nearby between Moonstone boardwalk and Fiscalini Nature Reserve - plus Cayucos and Morro Bay are so close. Great restaurants - loved Robin’s particularly. Linn’a is a treat for lunch as well. Because we were traveling with dogs, our selection of houses to rent was limiting. It’s tough to beat this home given the price and location! Nothing really compares that allowed pets fit close to this price. It does need a bit of an update and the grounds and outdoor areas have been neglected, but nothing that compromised our stay - and if those things were done, the rental price would understandably need to be increased. All in all, we’d stay there again and certainly happily work with Breen Management. They were very communicative during the process - even allowing us the opportunity to change our dates to October when the flooding made travel difficult last spring.

With several inviting spaces to relax, you can choose the solarium with ocean view, or the garden with succulents and unique curios. Close enough to the beach to hear the surf. A very short walk to town and all that Cambria has to offer. We ate at Las Cambritas (Mexican), Luigi's Pizza (they don't skimp on their toppings), and got take out from Wild Ginger (described as Cal/Asian). We wine tasted at the Hearst Winery north of town on Highway 1--a bit pricey but worth it for the view of the San Simeon pier and bay. This is definitely our "go to" when we return to the Central Coast.

Won’t stay here again

Difficult to get in from parking area. Steps and slanted. Steps inside very steep to washing machine. Steps were slipper from living room to bedroom. Dog walking on streets was challenging due to traffic. Toilet paper was difficult to retrieve, toilet seat loose. I’m not nit picking, we rated this at the bottom of the rentals we have had, not only in Cambria but half dozen other towns. Sixth location in Cambria was very disappointing. They do have a good view from one corner of the living room.

The fireplace makes for a cozy evening. The kitchen is well equipped. The house was very clean and comfortable. Quiet neighborhood. Can hear the waves at night. The fenced yard and screened in deck are nice if you have a dog. We hope to come back for a third visit.
