A renovated Granite cottage with 4 bedrooms sleeping up to 8 with Hot tub that seats 6 with stunning views. On arrival a small veranda leads to Rocky's front door, a hallway with original lounge and wood burning stove. To the seaward side of the house a large open planned kitchen/dining room leading to 2nd lounge with bifold doors out to decked area and hot tub. Amazing views across the whole of St Ives Bay, from Hayle Estuary to Trevose Head 25 miles up the North coast of Cornwall. The fully fitted kitchen includes Range, American ice-making fridge freezer, microwave, & dishwasher. Plus utility with extra dishwasher, washer and dryer. On the ground floor, bedroom with super king bed and ensuite shower room. This maybe ideal for those less capable of stairs. On the 1st floor three bedrooms. The master bedroom with super king bed and shower ensuite, with glorious views of the The Island and Godrevy Lighthouse. One bedroom with 2 singles and lovely Bay views, and the last bedroom with 2 singles and views of the gardens behind. Three bedrooms have seaviews. The family bathroom with roll top bath, separate shower, basin and wc on the 1st floor. And finally the 4th shower room on the ground floor. Linen, towels, central heating, parking for 3 cars, decked area for eating out with gas bbq and wifi. Please note no smoking within the property, a dog accepted, but not during July & August, and towels not for beach use. Outside warm water shower. Electric car charging point. Weekend breaks from November to March. No hen/stag groups, or college leavers or similar accepted. Please note this property is in a residential area and late night noise will not be tolerated by our neighbours, hence the request that the hot tub is not used after 10pm. During school holidays this property lets on a Saturday to Saturday. Short breaks accepted in non school holiday periods.

Amazing stay at Granite Cottage. Fabulous view, loved the deck area, all of the outdoor seating and hot tub. The house is large which is great when staying with a group. We particularly liked having 4 large showers, there was no issues in the morning or evening getting ready to go out. The house was well equipped, particularly the kitchen, we had everything we needed to make and serve breakfast/dinner. The ice maker in the freezer was an unexpected perk!The parking was one of the main reasons we booked the cottage, it’s great to park up and walk in/out of town. Thanks to Liz for checking in with us after we arrived to check if we were happy with everything. Would highly recommend this cottage.

We loved our stay and Liz was a great host! First, the layout is amazing. My elderly parents had their own room on the ground floor with en suite. We had our own master with ensuite upstairs and our 3 kids had individual beds in 2 rooms. Plenty of bathrooms, two living areas, big kitchen and dining table. Second, the location is choice. Yes, it's way up the hill, so be ready for a short but uphill hike - but it's genuinely 10 minutes walk from our daily beach (and surf rental place!), with beautiful views and the serenity of being out of the town. Third, Liz and her husband genuinely do their best and are great communicators and eager to help. We'd book again in an instant. THANK YOU

Amazing property, gorgeous view.

The host was great at keeping in touch and friendly and helpful. The property itself was fabulous. Well appointed and maintained with a stunning view. The walk to town or the beach was not too long but be prepared for hills. We all loved this place and would all definitely return. Highly recommended.

A beautiful property. Fantastic holiday

A beautiful property and a wonderful host. The house has a stunning view over Porthmeor beach and is well maintained, with high quality furniture and fittings. A true home from home. Liz was really helpful and gave us a lot of information about the area. A thoroughly enjoyable holiday - we will definitely return.

Best view you will ever have

This property has the best view in st ives. The house is really lovely and spacious with really good outside space. It is in waking distance of the centre of town and has ample parking.

Rocky

We had originally booked to go abroad like many others in the country and rescheduled to our favourite place! We have stayed in and around St Ives many times previously, so know the area well. Overall this is a fantastic property and would defiantly recommend it to friends and family. The rooms are of a good size, and most have en suits or access to there own bathroom-this is a real plus with kids! The property is child friendly- we went with a 5, 2 and 4 month old. There are pots and pans etc for all your cooking needs and also a bbq. My dad is a big BBQer-the only part was the utensils-more bbq utensils would be useful (plastic ones present). We had 4 cars parked at the property this is a real plus for St ives, as anyone who has been will tell you parking is a nightmare. Overall the property was very clean, sheets/bedding and towels provided. The plus is their is a washer and dryer too! The only downside was the cooker hood was dusty and an old shaver head left in one of the main bathroom showers. We have stayed in many of large houses before-which we have used for family get togethers. This was a pricey stay, but then St Ives overall is pricey. Previously in houses like this, we have been welcomed with a welcome pack/hamper-Rocky close didn’t have this-often I think it’s a nice touch when you arrive especially if your new to the area or arrive late etc. There is a caravan park just below rocky close-this didn’t cause us any problems and was a good distance to not have any noise disturbance. St Ives is a very hilly place-if you struggle with hills I wouldn’t recommend st ives. Rocky Close is about a 10-15 min walk with kids down to the beach-i would recommend one of those pull along things to put stuff in-as you stand no chance of parking by the beach for those with larger family’s and lots of stuff. The beaches and shops etc though are lovely and st Ives is a good distance to most places :) Would I stay again......absolutely! Thanks for a lovely stay :)

Comfortable cottage in great location

We had a lovely time staying at Rocky Close with four adults and three small children. The location and views are truly wonderful and the house is comfortable, spacious and practical. Some aspects of the decor/furnishings are in need of a little updating, but I believe a refurb is scheduled for autumn/winter 2018. A bigger grassed area in the garden and better paved driveway would be nice, but overall it fitted the bill perfectly for us and I would definitely recommend it.

Rocky Close is a lovely granite cottage totally refurbished over 9 months 2018/19. Amazing views from 2nd lounge with wrap around glazing to take advantage of the stunning views that the property offers. A short walk to the coastal footpath or a 10 minute walk to Porthmeor beach, the surfing beach. Parking for 3 cars, a great benefit for a sizeable property. Car charging point.
