Stylish 2 bedroom house, infinity pool, Wi-Fi, village and restaurant 2 min walk

Fienile is a stylish high quality house created in - a traditional working farm.
You can get to know the animals on the farm and relax round the pool with a fantastic view of the Apuane Mountains. The house has been restored from an old barn. The structure is rustic, and in contrast the furniture is stylish, modern and functional. There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The kitchen/ dining/ living room is spacious and open plan. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven and fridge/freezer. A washing machine is also available.

The owner can arrange for electric mountain bike hire.

Exterior

Outside there is a spacious terrace with table and loungers and a panoramic view of the dramatic Apuane Mountains.

There is a wood oven and a BBQ in the garden.

The large shared 12x6 metre pool has a wonderful view over the mountains, with incredible sunsets over this unique place.

There is an adventure playground in the garden for the guests to use.

Surroundings

There is an excellent family run restaurant in Silico, only a one minute walk from the farm. The village itself is interesting; tiny but with fine buildings and wonderful views. A well known medieval festival is held there during August.

The fascinating medieval village of Silico is a few metres walk, and there are mapped walks all around the village. The village itself has cultural attractions and events throughout the year.

The area of Garfagnana is best known for its wonderful scenery, old fashioned ways, rustic food and outdoor activities.

-It is possible to by products from the farm ( cheese, salamis, ham, marmalade, chestnut flour, faro, and other preserves.
-We can help arrange mountain biking, hill walking, horse riding, gorge walking and cooking classes which are all available locally.

Einfach Traumhaft

Wir waren jetzt zum 2. Mal dort und es war wieder traumhaft. Dafür lohnt die Anfahrt. Absolute Entspannung, Ruhe und sehr sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Danke Bruno und Nadja. Die Bilder im Angebot sind schön, aber die Realität noch viel schöner!!!!! Kleiner Tipp..im Restaurant (auch im Dorf unten) immer Plätze reservieren. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist super, alles was man braucht. Wir kommen bestimmt auch noch ein drittes und viertes Mal.... Ganz liebe Grüße

Wohlfühlen und Entspannen

Wer auf der Suche nach vollkommener Ruhe ist, ist hier komplett richtig. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Entspannen. Die Gastgeber sind sehr hilfsbereit, zuvorkommend und zugewandt. Das Apartment ist genau so bezaubernd wie auf den Fotos. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Luxury bolt hole in quiet location

The accommodation and setting is stunning, we received a warm welcome and please do ask for a pizza night. A car is essential as there’s nothing close by but this is a great base for getting around Tuscany

Overall a very nice place and very friendly hosts. Beautiful area and the resturant was excellent.

On the negative side was that the wifi did not work very well, TV was italian only, not a huge problem but had we known we could have brought some DVDs. The contact number for Laura is not correct. And it makes huge sence to bring salt and pepper. I guess we where the first guests of the season, so hopefully others will be able to enjoy what we left behind. But we had a wounderful time and enjoyed fab weather.

Serene countryside with beautiful views and close proximity to medieval hill towns

If you're looking to get away into the beautiful, serene countryside of Tuscany and to enjoy the crisp mountain air of the Apuane Mountains in close proximity to other medieval hill towns, this is the place for you. After an 11 day cruise out of Venice, my significant other and I rented a car and drove 4 hours to Tuscany where we spent 10 days in Silico. We used Silico as our home base to visit other hill towns in the area. What we loved: -- the farmhouse only a few hundred meters from the medieval village of Silico. --the charming Silico village restaurant and store within walking distance (all uphill) of the farmhouse --the farmhouse infinity pool --the farmhouse picture window overlooking the meandering sheep and beautiful views of the Apuane Mountains --the washing machine - there is no dryer which is ok if it does not rain. --the clean, pristine condition of the farmhouse --Home Away's Friends of Tuscany website printout with recommendations for restaurants and visits to other medieval villages within 10 miles of our farmhouse --fresh farm produce in the village store Not so much: -- the 4 mile drive up the twisty, winding road to the farmhouse. -- the lack of basics in the farmhouse. On Home Away's Friends of Tuscany's website we were led to believe that basic foodstuffs like salt and pepper, herbs etc. would be available. The cupboards were bare. A bit of sugar and a coffee pot would also have been nice. -- lack of instructions on use of the fireplace for cool Fall evenings. -- the flies --the steep incline to the pool with no obvious path --the rusty grill for barbecuing --our inability to communicate with the owners (our problem not theirs)who live directly behind the farmhouse --the farm sheds right below our picture window

Fabulous house

Great view. Owners are really nice and pay attention to details. We were even provided with lovely fresh eggs and a nice bottle of wine. We enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful villa, perfect stay

We stayed here after the place we booked originally was unsuitable for young children. We loved every second. The house is a perfect size for a couple or small family, the finish is excellent and beds very comfortable. The pool area is outstanding, simply the best view I've ever had whilst swimming. There's a jungle gym too which my son loved. The owners were very kind, generous and helpful yet not intrusive. Bruno gave us dried mushrooms and even a bottle of his own wine. A perfect holiday. We are planning on returning next year.
