27 Skiptory Howe is situated on the White Cross Bay Holiday Park on the edge of Lake Windermere between Windermere and Ambleside on the A591.(parkdeanresorts.co.uk/location/lake-district/white-cross-bay/)
It has recently been refurbished and is centrally heated and comprises 2 bedrooms which sleeps 4/5* people.(* There is a small fold-up foam chair bed that would be suitable for a child).
The lodge has a comfortably appointed spacious lounge, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has a built-in fridge freezer, oven and hob and a microwave. Master bedroom has a kingsize double bed and ensuite bathroom (shower) and twin bedded room and family bathroom (bath with shower). Large wraparound (2 sides) decking area ideal for relaxing on sunloungers (4 supplied) and for dining al-fresco. (gas bbq supplied). 40 inch, wall-mounted Samsung TV, dvd player and Bose CD and radio and separate bluetooth sound system.

Fantastic accomodation, great location

We would definitley reccomend this accomodation, and would happily stay here again.The lodge has a great layout, and lots of useful info was sent to us by the owner before we arrived.Staying at the lodge is like staying in someones home, much better than staying a sparse rental, and this really added to our holiday.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, lodge had everything that we needed and more, the only downside was the cleaners need to be a little bit more thorough,as we found someone else medication in the bedside draws and wouldn’t take long to get rid of cobwebs on bedroom ceiling,but this wouldn’t put us off rebooking

Home away from home

We had such a lovely short break! The lodge is really well situated; close enough to the main site hub and play areas (for those with children) but tucked up out of the way to allow for a nice quiet and peaceful location. We were able to check in a little early as we received communication from the host that the lodge was clean and ready from around 1-2pm; this was greatly appreciated! We found the lodge to be really comfortable with everything you can possibly need and more. Access to a BBQ, large deck with lots of seating choices, lots of cooking equipment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon!

Great 5 star lodge

Lodge was great everything you needed even, Netflix, sky and great dishwasher. Rooms sizes great and balcony was massive with large table and chairs and bbq. Only minor point is that the outside of the lodge could have been cleaner. But will definitely be back Rodger and Hazel quick to reply to any questions. Lodge location brilliant and on site facilities great also. Can’t wait to book again. Thanks for letting us stay in your lodge.

Well Equiped Lodge on a Very Well Managed Site

We have enjoyed a very comfortable short stay at this very well equiped and well presented lodge. As others have said it is on a very large site but the lodge is in a quiet location. We particularly enjoyed the woodland walk to the small marina and the lake frontage which was beautiful. We had good communication with the hosts who responded to any questions we had very quickly.

Nice, quiet property

My wife and I stayed for a week here and had zero complaints about the property. It was very nice, spacious, well outfitted and everything worked. The bed was comfy and overall, we would stay here again with no reservations. I either missed it or didn't realize the property is in a holiday park. This did not affect our stay in any way though. The host was gracious, accommodating and very responsive. The location is such that I would recommend anyone staying here have their own transportation, which we did not. The local taxi services are good but you need to book at least a couple hours in advance. There is a bus stop very close to the entrance of the park but we found the bus service to be less than ideal. The one bus we needed to go to Keswick was frequently full and only ran once per hour. One day we waited 3 hours to get the bus to Keswick. We were surprised by the amount of people in and around Windermere. We were there in 2017 and it was nowhere near as crowded. Even with streets full of people, all the shops close by 5pm so you have to be up and out early to get any shopping in. Pubs and restaurants stay open and are plentiful.

Heart of Lake District

The property had everything we needed, including a deck and BBQ. The resort had a shop, pool, bar and restaurant but we tended to walk and tour all day and eat at the house which had a fully equipped kitchen.

Windermere Weekend

Just returned home from three nights at this lovely lodge. Located in a quiet part of a large site, it is well maintained and immaculately clean. We were blessed with excellent weather and as an added bonus got a display of the Northern Lights. Everything you need is at this lodge, just add food and some wine and you will have a great time. Would not hesitate to book again.

Luxury Lodge

What an amazing lodge this is. Pros:- Very spacious. Clean. Everything you need in the kitchen. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Very spacious wraparound deck. WiFi excellent. Cons:- On a large holiday park. We had an amazing time here at this lodge. Directions to the lodge were spot on and access was easy. The lodge was very clean and huge. Both bedrooms and bathrooms were very spacious and nicely furnished. The kitchen has everything you could need. The sitting room was large and comfortable with a large screen TV. The WiFi worked perfectly and we were able use our fire stick seamlessly. Mobile signal was also great. The only slight downside is it is on a large holiday park so the lodges are quite close together, when sitting on the decking you could hear others around you. However inside the lodge there was no noise at all. In all we couldn't fault this lodge it has everything you need and more, it is the best holiday accommodation we have stayed in.
