Beautiful property but overbearing host
The property is spotlessly clean, beautiful building & pool area. The nearby town of Uzes is fabulous, there are nearby bakeries and a very good supermarket. The owner is very informative and replies swiftly to any queries. I have given the communication 3 stars & check in process 2 stars because it is actually too much. There are MANY rules which were passed on to us in the check in process which we were told would take 30 mins but actually took 2 hours! Whilst she does check times with you for her arrival at the property it means constant text and emails (the first two days I had 5 emails a day plus texts). She comes twice a day to clean the pool, inspect outside etc and once in the week to cut the grass for 1 & 1/2 hrs. I have never known an owner be present so much, we were very respectful as we always are but still felt like we were treated like children (we are all close to 50). We were subjected to a half hour inspection of EVERYTHING at the end of the stay which bordered on rude. We had left the property spotless but she opened every kitchen cupboard, oven, fridge, window, blinds up and down, even turned on and off the shower to make sure we hadn't broken anything, which we hadn't. It felt quite suffocating and difficult to try and relax with the owner so present. I even received 2 texts after our departure asking me to leave a review. It is a shame because she is just far too nervous about letting this beautiful property.
