In the heart of the Creuse Valley, less than a kilometer (walking distance) from a beach and 5 minutes from Argenton-sur-Creuse, this renovated forge features a sauna.
And 300 meters away: a swimming pool on the site of the other gites, heated depending on the weather (shared with 3 other gites) from May to September, with a depth of 1.50 meters, a chalet (shower and toilet); opening hours are 10 [hidden] to 9 [hidden], and a wood-heated Nordic hot tub (not available in July and August).
Places to visit: Gargilesse-Dampierre (one of the most beautiful villages in France), Argentomagus, La Brenne, and Lake Eguzon. Beauval Zoo is 1 hour 15 minutes away. On the ground floor: Living room and kitchen converted from the former forge with its red brick fireplace and wall-mounted wood-burning stove - pantry - WC - bathroom with walk-in shower and sauna.
On the 1st floor: a master bedroom with a 160 x 200 cm bed, bathtub and island with sink and WC - living room with office area.
On the 2nd floor: bedroom with a 160 x 200 cm bed and a single bed - Zen corner on the mezzanine (2 foam armchairs).
For good insulation, the walls are coated with a hemp and lime mixture.
Public parking is available on the square 50 meters away.
No garden on site.
Electric heating and wood are included in the price.
Green space 300 meters away, shared with the other on-site cottages, Le Broquet, 800 m² with trampoline, table tennis, and pétanque court.
