The house at Ketilhushagi 33 has 2 bedrooms, sleeping loft, sleeps 5-6, 1-2 bathrooms, sauna, cozy hot tub with a large deck area for dining (suitable in the summer time). On entering the house, a bathroom faces you and adjacent to the bathroom are two bedrooms. A cozy area with a kitchen and living room with is in a joint area of the house. The house is equipped with all necessary equipment, including comfortable beds, necessary household equipment, television set, wifi, dishwasher, cd player, dvd player, newly renovated house with new amenities. Children are welcome and anticipated. Smoking only allowed outside the house.

Tolles Haus und Umgebung

Wir hatten einen schƶnen Aufenthalt in dem Haus. Es ist sehr gemĆ¼tlich und hat alles was man braucht. Sogar ein Grill wurde extra organisiert. Die Dusche ist in einem kleinen separaten HƤuschen bei der Sauna, was eine Umstellung war aber nicht weiter dramatisch. Der Hot Tub funktioniert wunderbar und wir haben von dort aus sogar die Nordlichter beobachten kƶnnen. Die Schlafzimmer sind etwas klein und haben wenig Stauraum aber es gibt Schlimmeres. Ein kleines Licht fĆ¼r die Dusche wƤre noch super. Und im Inserat sollte besser beschrieben sein, welche zusƤtzlichen Kosten auf einen zukommen, wenn man mit mehr als 2 Personen das Haus bucht. Aber auch das konnten wir mit dem Vermieter zu unserer Zufriedenheit klƤren. Ansonsten war alles in bester Ordnung und wir kƶnnen das Haus ruhigen Gewissens empfehlen.

Return visit, just as wonderful

This was our second stay and I think that says it all. It was just as wonderful as the first time. Warm, comfortable, well equipped, everything you need for an amazing holiday. The lodge is really well situated in the South of Iceland, all the big sights are within easy reach and also for trips into the interior for trekking and adventures. The hot tub is superb after a long day walking and sightseeing, we didnā€™t use the sauna but it looked great. The hosts are responsive, kind and generous. We love being able to stay in their lodge. I really hope that we will come back for a third time.

Super schƶner Aufenthalt

Es war ein sehr schƶner Urlaub. Das Ferienhaus war wunderschƶn. Schƶne Lage, alles sehr gepflegt und gemĆ¼tlich. Nach einen ereignisreichen Tag haben wir die Sauna und den Whirlpool genossen und haben uns das sehr gut Gehen lassen. Wir haben fast jeden Tag gegrillt. Danke schƶn an den Gastgeber fĆ¼r die kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten die Ć¼berall verteilt waren. Das Haus war kuschelig warm und es fehlte an nichts. Das sich die Dusche im angrenzenden SaunahƤuschen befand, fanden wir gar nicht schlimm, da wir meistens Abends geduscht haben, nachdem wir im Whirlpool waren. Somit konnten wir gleich duschen gehen und die BademƤntel waren kuschelig weich. HandtĆ¼cher gab es in mehr als ausreichender Menge. Das Haus haben wir, dank der genauen Beschreibung, gleich gefunden. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen. Ein toller Urlaub in einem sehr beinduckenden Land.

Good experience

We enjoy the short spring break here. The house is very well maintained, clean and equipped with all necessary items. The hot tub was awesome. The only item I say would be a plus is to equip with a household washer.

Sehr gemĆ¼tliches kleines Haus. WƤhrend unseres Aufenthalts war niemand sonst in der Gegend. Arnar hat den Schnee extra vor unserer Ankunft gerƤumt sonst hƤtten wir das Haus gar nicht erreicht. Bei der Nordlichtjagd hatten wir kein GlĆ¼ck, bis auf ein dĆ¼nnes Flimmern waren trotz Sternenklarheit die Werte einfach zu niedrig... Der Hot Tub und die Sauna sind sehr unkompliziert zu benutzen. Die FuƟbodenheizung im Bad und im Vorflur sogt fĆ¼r warme FĆ¼ĆŸe. Die Couch ist neu und gemĆ¼tlich. Es war sehr schƶn :))

Islands SĆ¼den im Herbst

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Es fehlte im Haus an nichts, was Flugreisende natĆ¼rlich besonders zu schƤtzen wissen. Alles war tadellos sauber und im KĆ¼hlschrank erwartete uns ein kleiner WillkommensgruƟ. Das Haus bietet alles, was man zur Erholung braucht, wenn man von den spannenden Abenteuern abends zurĆ¼ckkehrt. Um den SĆ¼den zu entdecken, liegt das Haus prima. Wir fanden den Hot Pot im Garten besonders toll und haben ihn jeden Abend genutzt. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter klappte tadellos, sodass wir dieses HƤuschen uneingeschrƤnkt empfehlen.

Alles in allem ein schƶner Aufenthalt

Das Ferienhaus liegt in absolut ruhiger und schƶner Lage. Man ist schnell auf der HauptstraƟe 1 und daher ideal fĆ¼r Golden Circle AktivitƤten und weitere SehenswĆ¼rdigkeiten im SĆ¼den der Insel. Das Haus an sich ist sehr schƶn gemĆ¼tlich und komplett ausgestattet. Man findet auch sehr viele HandtĆ¼cher zum Saunieren und es wurden auch zwei BademƤntel gestellt. FĆ¼r 2 Erwachsene und Kinder ideal...das Schlafzimmer im oberen Stock ist wegen niedriger Deckenhƶhe und steiler Treppe eher nur fĆ¼r Kinder geeignet. Wir waren nur zu zweit und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Einzig die etwas abgenutzte und verkalkte Dusche im Saunahaus (die einzig vorhandene Dusche) und die fehlende Hausnummer wƤren verbesserungswĆ¼rdig.

Tolles Haus in ruhiger Lage mit groƟem GrundstĆ¼ck

Schone Zeit in dem komfortabel ausgestatteten Haus. Es war alles vorhanden, sogar eine Menge Spiele und Filme. GewĆ¼rze und Kaffee+Tee waren reichlich vorhanden. Der Vermieter war fĆ¼r RĆ¼ckfragen gut erreichbar und die Anwortzeit super schnell. Wir kƶnnen die Unterkunft jedem weiterempfehlen. Man sollte nur wissen, dass das Haus fast in Alleinlage steht und ein Auto unbedingt erforderlich ist.

Amazing cottage, brilliant location

The cottage is off the beaten track, but not isolated or remote. Itā€™s easy to find, just a few minutes off the main ring road but so, so quiet and peaceful. It is very clean, well equipped, warm and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and the beds are comfortable. The upstairs loft bedroom is probably only suitable for children as the ladder stairs are steep and there is low head room. The hot tub was such a warm welcoming treat after along day sightseeing. We had the most amazing holiday. The cottage is within easy reach of many of the main sights and there is a supermarket about 15 mins away. We had an unforgettable holiday and we are already planning our return trip next year.

Lovely cabin in a serene setting

This cabin is really well located in a secluded countryside setting only 10 minutes away from a village. The setting is really peaceful and serene. The location is great for exploring the south of Iceland. The cabin was comfortable and cozy. The beds were very comfortable and my daughter loved the upstairs bedroom. The kitchen had everything that we needed to cook for ourselves. There were lots of different entertainment options; DVD's, games and a great chess board. The accommodation is highly recommended - we had a great stay!

Great relaxing stay

The house is spotlessly clean, cozy and comfortable, warm and friendly. The next houses are a few hundred meters away, so you have much privacy. We especially enjoyed the sauna and the hot tub every day and made tours to the sights in the southwest of Iceland. This was our second stay in this House and we would love to come back one day.

Cozy stay

Very comfortable cottage with nothing missing. Wonderful sauna and shower, so nice to relax in. Comfortable bed and great kitchen for cooking. Easy check in. Quiet and private, close to Hwy 1.

Wonderful Cottage with Sauna and HotTub

We loved the cottage and itā€˜s surrounding. It is remote but still not that out in the nowhere with lovely birds around and if you are lucky, with aurora nights as well :) The house is perfectly cozy with the nice amenities mentioned in the title. We stayed for 2 weeks and would definitely book it again: it was a perfect match!

I had been searching for some time for a property with certain features. This on met them all; placement, close to all necessary services, close to major nature attractions and so cozy and well equipped in a quiet area.

The property and the surrounding area have excellent views, nice outside area with a separate house equipped with a sauna and a shower. A large platform area outside the house contains a jacuzzi and an outside dining area (summer).
