If you're looking for a place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday work, there's no better place than Poitou-Charentes, with its sunny climate, beautiful landscapes, and peaceful villages surrounded by fields of sunflowers.
Our magnificent villa is part of a villa complex, located in a lovely rural area, offering a safe, car-free environment where children can play without worry. The landscaped grounds feature a large central pool and a children’s play area, a bocce court, space for playing ball or badminton, and, just a stone’s throw away, a 27-hole “BlueGreen” golf course accessible with a green fee.
A few minutes’ drive away is the hamlet of Les Forges with its small shop selling local products, and a little further on is the charming village of Vasles, home to a restaurant and bistro, a bank, a pharmacy, a small supermarket, and, of course, a bakery.
The villa is one of the best-located in the park, with a view of the fields where it’s not uncommon to see families of deer or hares emerging from the adjacent grove. It’s equipped with everything you need for a carefree vacation. There are three bedrooms that can accommodate 6 people, 2 bathrooms, a large living room, and an open kitchen with a fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster, as well as a washer and dryer in the laundry room. In the living room, a TV with satellite connection provides channels in French, German, and English, along with a home theater system and Wi-Fi. Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto a large L-shaped terrace where you can enjoy breakfast and barbecues in complete privacy.
Les Forges enjoys one of the sunniest climates in France and is a 4-hour drive from Paris or accessible by TGV via Poitiers, just a 35-minute drive away. Poitiers, an ancient Roman city, is well worth a visit, as is the nearby Futuroscope.
In general, the entire Poitou-Charentes region offers a wide variety of sites and attractions that will keep you pleasantly occupied during your stay.
