BEACHFRONT and affordable. Coopers Beach Retreat- "Tui Cottage" is a modern, comfortable beachfront bach, with its own beach access. Private and quiet it is north facing with all day sun. Sit back, relax and enjoy spectacular panoramic views across gardens to the beach and Doubtless Bay. Well appointed and fully furnished, self-contained with own BBQ area. Set on private 1/2 acre. Safe swimming beach which is also excellent for all water sports, diving, fishing,canoeing. 15 minutes from 18-hole golf course. A minutes drive to shopping centre or short walk along the beach. Ideal honeymoon destination. Escape the madness of city life and relax in peace and privacy. Enjoy the luxury of watching the everchanging mood of the sea and sky, the peace and tranquillity of this pohutukawa tree-lined beach.

"We stayed at Tui Cottage and liked it very much. We are German and travel to New Zealand often, but this place is truly outstanding! We enjoyed sitting on the beautiful deck and looking out to sea. Just a short stroll through a beautiful flowered garden directly to the beach. Inside was beautifully furnished and very clean, it felt like home. Thanks to Sue and Hugh, who are very friendly. We will definitely be back!!"

Wow!!! We needed a quick getaway from daily routine and some rest for the soul.We found paradise instead. The cottage had everything we needed, super clean and the bed was so comfortable. The beach a short walk down a well-maintained garden path.Deck is sheltered from the dreaded south easter, and you can enjoy the sun and stunning views. We were lucky enough to see a pod of dolphins play in the water from the comfort of our deck chairs.Thank you Sue and Hugh for sharing your piece of paradise with us. We definitely will be back in the summer.

Wow. What an amazing place. Sue and Hugh were amazing hosts, the property was better than expected and access to the beach was very special. The property is dog friendly with a gate closing off the deck and an outside hose for a wash down after the beach. The property is fully kitted out and the sound of the ocean at night is incredible. It’s also warm and airy and did I mention fully kitted out for a stay. They have thought of everything. We will definitely be recommending and staying again.

Sue and Hugh are lovely people and were extremely kind to us and very helpful. Due to the Wellington storm, our time at Coopers Beach was cut short but we really enjoyed our short stay at the Retreat. Stunning views, very comfortable, very clean and very well equipped, a lovely garden and easy access to the beach for great walks. Hopefully we may visit the area again at some point and Coopers Beach Retreat will be our first choice of somewhere to stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Sue and Hugh’s beach bach! The location couldn’t be better—just a short stroll to the beach, and the views were absolutely stunning. The bach was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. It was also wonderfully dog-friendly—our pups had the best time exploring and relaxing with us.
