Stunning views and such a cute cottage to stay in. Great off street parking and a very easy check in/out process. Have raved about it to friends and family
A good and cosy place for a short weekend away from the hustle and bustle. Set in a quiet neighbourhood, it was clean and tidy with all the amenities you need. The welcome snacks were a lovely touch and the host was very nice and accomodating.

A quiet pleasant couple who left the cottage clean and tidy
Loved the cottage and the view.
The location was perfect for our visit, checking in and out was a breeze, and the cottage had everything we needed - fridge, linen, toaster, kettle etc.
Old but well kept cottage. Will definitely be back in the future.

I would recommend this couple who left the cottage beautifully clean and tidy.
Spotlessly clean, with everything you need, well equipped kitchen, etc. Hostess even supplied some fresh baking! Only downside was that the bed in particular would benefit from modernizing.
My Husband and I have just spent 3nights and everything about our stay was nothing short of perfection. Exceptionally clean and tidy, all cooking requirements supplied as well as tea, coffee and sugar not to mention the little jar of homemade cookies. I certainly recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a nice tranquil getaway yet not far from Tauranga. Marie and Warren Burns

It was a pleasure to host our guests who were courteous and friendly and left the cottage clean and tidy.
Walnut Cottage is a clean, cosy, comfortable home away from home, with beautiful views over an estuary and a garden. Everything we needed was provided, and delicious homemade biscuits added a welcoming touch. The host is on site, friendly and helpful, but unobtrusive. The Cottage is 20 minutes drive from down-town Tauranga, but peaceful and quiet. Pleasant walks around Plummer's Point or down to the water's edge are easily accessible from the cottage. It is a lovely spot to rest and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
Million dollar view.
Comfortable accommodation. Could be improved with better linen (bath towels,) as we're not absorbant and rather tatty. Heating needs to be more than an oil column heater and had a very small hot water cylinder, hence a very short shower and had to wait 15 minutes until someone else could shower. Communication was poor with owner, as damage was done to our rental car and no responsibility taken since it was done on the front lawn of the property.

In response the bath towels were good quality and had neither holes nor threadbare .
The new electric oil column heater (with timer) was accompanied with a smaller electric heater and there is an electric blanket on bed.
The quick recovery hot water cylinder is suitable for max.2 guests we cater for.
It was just what we wanted, a base from which we could go to other parts of the Bay of Plenty .
The location to other attractions of the Bay of Plenty. Perfect for my wife and I in size and feel. It epitomizes what we wanted for the start of a new year.
Awesome stay quiet clean and the owner the nicest lady with hm made biscuits👌would definately stay again

I have been hosting for over 20years and am always pleased to meet new guests form NZ and overseas.
Why they chose this property
Our property overlooks the Te Puna estuary and is a short stroll to the jetty where locals can cast there fishing lines and launch their boats. We are on the shared cycleway/walking path that goes from Bethlehem to Omokoroa.
What makes this property unique
Quiet, restful. Nice views over the estuary. Cycle trail passes the property. Lovely walk around the peninsula. 15minutes drive into Tauranga, dependant on traffic.
