The house was nice and pretty clean. The refrigerator didn’t work the entire time we were there, the heater didn’t work until the host came and finally looked at it at 8:00pm the day before we departed, internet was in and out. Hair on the floor in the bathroom and the fridge had crumbs in it

We want guests to arrive at a home that is fully ready for their stay, so we take concerns like these seriously. The homeowner wanted to share the following:- The refrigerator compressor had failed during your stay. It has since been replaced with a brand-new unit.- When we checked the heater, we found the remote battery had corroded. We cleaned the contacts for an immediate fix and replaced the battery.- Internet interruptions were due to a temporary provider outage.- We’ve followed up with our cleaning team to reinforce our standards after missing the hair and crumbs noted.Thank you for your feedback.

Host was very nice, great location, felt safe. Heater unit wasn't working, but read in another review they had the same prob so i brought a space heater and extra blankets and we were fine. But it was raining and cold, so they should really fix that.

Clean, cozy, and easy!

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. The kitchen is spacious and inviting, beds are cozy and the neighborhood is quiet. Check in was very easy and the host even let us check in just a little bit early with no hassle. Would definitely recommend this location if you’re looking for a comfortable stay!

Nice area near everything

Enjoyed the area and felt the property was really nice for the price and what we needed. Property management seemed really nice and even gave us donuts on our first day.

Safe gated home.

It was a safe gated home. Located near a school, so I felt fairly safe for a visitor unfamiliar with California. I stayed about a week.

Incredible experience

Mr. Sarno was an exceptional host.He made us feel right at home.The house was spotless, the rooms were cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including dishes and a microwave. He even left some food in the fridge, which was a thoughtful gesture that saved us a trip to the market.Thank you so much, Mr. Sarno! My family and I had a wonderful time.

Nice property and owner. The mini split in the living room is not enough to handle the whole house and there should be more or a larger unit. Got quite cold at night. Wifi instructions were not accurate and owner did not make effort to figure out password when I asked.

I didn’t get a chance to interact with the host. The good: 1) gaining access to the lock box and door was easy. 2) living room, kitchen and bedrooms were tidy. 3) beverages available for purchase was convenient. 4) kitchen seemed to have everything we needed for our stay. 5) the live plants added to a nice atmosphere. 6) TV and WIFI worked well. 7) welcome binder was informative 8) neighborhood felt safe.9) shower water temperature and pressure was very good10) enough towels and paper products available Room for improvement:1) parking was confusing - the driveway was available to park in, but I felt like I’d be blocking the white truck in the rear unit. 2) the bathroom floors were not swept - hair from previous guests was evident in the floors. 3) used soap bar and watered down shampoo was in the shower stall4) it was cold in the unit; sign in the thermostat said “please don’t touch” so we didn’t. 5) refrigerator temperature did not get contents cold. 6) blinds were damaged, should be repaired/replaced7) pillows in aster bedroom were very hard; extra pillows in the room did not have pillow cases. 8) lights for the unit were located by the kitchen, which was quite far away from the front door when looking for a light switch in an unfamiliar place. 9) a lot of clutter on the walk way leading from the entry gate to the unit door. 10) front door interior entryway could have used a mat or similar.

Excellent choice!!

We enjoyed the home very much! There was more than enough amenities for us to use (dishes, coffee cups, silverware, Keurig with pods, bath towels, soap, shampoo). There were single bottle waters and soda cans in the refrigerator for a small fee (25 cents for water and 35 cents for the soda). Might be a better deal to buy your own case of water if you have a bigger party. Everything was stocked (except for toilet paper) Only one roll was in the bathroom, thinking there was more in the cupboard. Not too big of a deal. We caught it just in time as we were going to the store. The house was very clean and no issues with neighbors. We especially enjoyed the walk in shower. I grew up in this area so I was very familiar and comfortable with this location. The point of contact, Mr. Anastacio was very kind. I thought it was really convenient that he lived on the property, just in case we needed assistance with anything (but we didn't). Thank you for the great hospitality. I will definitely use this location again if I'm in the area, as well as recommend it to family and friends.

Amazing place with a great host

Recently remodeled, modern and very clean. Looked exactly as pictured. Grounds were also nice and well maintained. You can tell host cares about this property and unit. Perfect size for 3-4 people. Fridge was stocked with water and soda. There was also coffee, sugar, whitener, spices, dishsoap, shampoo and body wash, all complimentary. The host also stopped by each day to check in to make sure we had everything as well as dropping us off some goodies which our son loved. Neighborhood was nice in what seemed like a decent area. Lots of food options close by. Quick drive to long beach, we also attended a few events in San Pedro near the cruise port terminal, both were easy to get too. LAX was also a relatively quick drive just make sure you account for LA traffic. Parking was easy and tucked nicely behind the house away from the street. All instructions were clear and easy to follow, check in info was sent well in advance. Host also lives on the property so if you did have issues (we had none) I'm sure he would be quick to respond. As I mentioned it's obvious the host is dedicated to making this a great place. One side note, out of the multiple places we stayed at this place had the best shower. Large, bright, super clean, amazing shower head/pressure, everyone looked forward to their morning showers here. Just note that there is no tub, it's a stand in shower.

Good but Lacking

The property was located in a nice area, the beds were comfortable, and thr owner was communicative. Sadly, that's all the good things I can say about this property. Beinf a fequent VRBO user, I was happy to see Evolve "managing" this property. By that, I mean they absolutely did not at all - it was owner managed and it showed. When I arrived, I was given the factory code for the lockbox (XXX0) which did noy make me feel very safe. The house itself had a few spiders that I had to get rid of but worse was how uncleaned the kitchen was. There were splash stains all over the cabinets that resembled somebody popping soda bottles. I pointed it out to the owner who said that he does his best with the cleaning. My final complaint was that even though the description listed "basic kitchen supplies" there were absolutely no utensils, pots/pans, scissors, trash bags, paper towels, or even soap/sponge in the unit. Instead, the owner provides plastic utensils, paper plates, and foam cups. Personally, I use VRBO and rent a house to have a more homely feeling than a hotel room. In this case, I would have spent more for a better place or less and stayed at a hotel. I would be hesitant to rent here again or even trust Evolve moving forward.
