We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property only a couple of things were a bother apart from that was very clean and sound everything you need was there easy access to beech and very quite neighbours.cbd was just a few minutes away Thankyou for having us will definitely tell friends n family

70's feel

Its an older style house.We were there for my daughters 16th birthday.On arrival the neighbor was annoying, and arrogant acting is though we were going to have a raging party, which wasnt the case so irritating. Besides that, it was a plesant stay, has all the essential things you'd need, plenty of heaters to keep warm. Electric blankets, Plenty of spare blankets. Washing machine tap didnt work.But other than that we had a good night.

Couldn't recommend

No problem checking in and the property looked clean. The sheets & duvets were very thin & worn as was the general furniture (mattresses on the floor). The toilet window was jammed open permanently. The towel rail has rusted and is falling off the wall potentially causing an electrical fault. The house was very cold & damp. No heat pump and the oil heater did not work, so we were very cold. No internet (as on listing). The hedging on the driveway has overgrown so your car gets scratched on the way in & out. For the price (266 night) we were very disapointed.

One and out

We did not stay after our first night, we had booked for three. The reviews should have been a warning. I am almost positive the internet has never worked. The beds are just an array of 1980 mattresses. Couches were in very rough shape. Floor had lots of stains The wooded walk and the stand to look at the ocean was over grown and unkept. The fire alarms went off in the night. This is a crash pad for a group of young adults looking for a cheap place to crash, not suitable for any other purpose. With that said the owner was very attentive and gave us an immediate refund.

Disappointing but works

Windows in the lounge don't work The Wifi was plugged into a faulty power point The Wifi password is not the number on the back (As in the instructions) No sheets, blankets or pillows for the pull out beds in the lounge. There is a dishwasher but we were not allowed to use it for some reason. Aircon would be nice.

Quiet Stay

The price we paid for this stay did not match the expected quality. The property of the batch is quiet and private, with a driveway that is definitely a bit rough on vehicles. Not all appliances were in proper working function, and the furniture was musty.

Lovely home

This house was amazing, the location was good the views were better the inside was big enough for the kids to play around in the outside was also big enough as well, me and my family really enjoyed our stay here it was clean we had all we needed it was friendly and inviting i would definitely stay again at the end of the year and recommend this place to other family members

Rodent infested,misleading listing

Overall, i would not use bookabach again, as I was not supported by the team during a stay used with them. This house had rodent problems , hidden clauses not advertised. Falsy advertised spaces around the property and an infestation in the ceilings. Have not been refunded even though request made with 24hrs of checking in and having to submit the keys to local authorities so myself and child could seek, more welcoming housing to stay, to not be a target to the lying owner.

Okitu disappointment

3 bedrooms not 4. 1 bathroom not 2 Advertised as pet friendly but dog had to stay outside. Toilet door would not shut. Only way to lock the house was flimsy screen door out back. Anxious about leaving valuables in house.. Kitchen not fully equipped . Egg beater would have been handy to whip cream to finish Christmas pavlova! Great location. Great price. But fell short of delivering the amenities on Book a Bach site. On website it showed deck and view. Could not find either. Old rubbish under beds Could not open windows in most rooms. Bathroom was hazardous with towel rail hanging off wall and jagged metal jutting out from shower surround. Overall, felt house was old, tired and grubby.

Our weekend stay

There were 8 of us that stayed Friday through to Monday morning. Although it was a place to rest our heads, I will not be recommending this house to other travellers. It was unsatisfactory in that It was very cold, the sofa's were uncomfortable and the Showers water pressure was so low the water trickled out.

A quick stop in Gisborne

We didn't spend much time at the property as we visiting Gisborne for a few specific activities. If we were staying longer we would have made more use of the beach near the house - a 5 minute walk away. We would have also liked to have spent some time relaxing in the house's covered patio/garden area relaxing and reading - but that will need to be for another time. If we are ever traveling through Gisborne with a group again this place would be ideal and we'll keep it in mind.

The location was great.

The location was great. The house was clean and tidy. The issues we had are...Beds were either far too hard or ridiculously soft for a comfortable sleep. There needs to be reading lamps besides the beds....we had to buy one. Sticks or supports to keeps the windows open would be helpful, we had to find things to use. The water from outside tank into house tasted very bad, maybe old.

Great and spacious bach!

Great and spacious bach! Few minutes walk to wainui beach and can view some portion of seaviews from the 2 front rooms! We got all the essential things from this bach! Will definitely recommend to anyone! Many thanks Megan for letting us stay on your awesome bach. :-) Cheers!

Location was great for us as it was a short walk to beach and to wedding we attended. The house is spacious but, a little tired, but this was reflected in the great pricing. The beds were comfortable (very important). We very much enjoyed our stay.
