Big fenced, private back yard. Just 2 minutes walk to Cooks Beach across the reserve. Cooks Beach is renowned for its long stretch of white sand and safe swimming. Just one minute walk to takeaways, cafe, shop and hardware store, or catch the 5 minute ferry ride to Whitianga. Great fishing and diving are right at hand in famous Mercury Bay, or head to Cathedral Cove or Hot Water Beach less than 30 minutes away.

Great location - handy to beach, shops and has a large well...

Great location - handy to beach, shops and has a large well fenced grass area outside the large decks - room for all of an extended family of 3 generations to have their own space, bedrooms plus collectively congregate for BBQs / meals together - either outside or in dining room. Are returning again!

Great place for family or two, to spend a holiday.

Great place for family or two, to spend a holiday. This home is a notch above the others in the area and are typical of a beach side bach. Not a luxury home but a nice getaway from the hussle of the city. Walking distance from a nice wine bar / small plates establishment ( Vivno - was nice enough to fill some wine bottles with filtered water) a liquor store and a convenience store. Our family enjoyed our stay at Chris's bach.

There appeared to be some confusion about cleaning the property on departure.

There appeared to be some confusion about cleaning the property on departure. The kitchen benches etc were wiped down and dishwasher loaded (but unable to wash as property owner wanted electricity turned off on departure). Cleaning fee charged due to mainly "staining" on carpet. This was disputed with owner, but unfortunately owner had carpets cleaned and did not take photos of staining to corroborate claim staining was new and/or cause by guests.

A brilliant location ; very close to the beach and shops.

A brilliant location ; very close to the beach and shops. House roomy, large lounge onto a shaded deck with BBQ and 2 tables, a large fenced yard for activities. The 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and toiletsplus an extra fridge in garage makes life easy/very comfortable for a larger group or an extended family - returning for a third holiday.

Spacious and great for 2-3 families.

Spacious and great for 2-3 families. Walking distance to shops and beach. Great outdoor space with large deck and flat back yard. This was our second stay at this property and would absolutely stay again
