The light filled master bedroom with walk in wardrobe and ensuite with bath will delight. The house also features two spacious living areas with well equipped open plan kitchen and dining area opening onto the outdoor living area. A heat pump, under floor heating and wood fire will keep you warm in winter.

Lovely lovely home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Peter’s home is the perfect location for your stay in Wānaka as everything you’ll want to see and do is an easy walk or quick drive. The beds are soooo comfortable, the kitchen was very efficient and well equipped, washer and dryer are a nice plus as is the parking carport, and there is a ton of room inside and out. One of our most favorite stays!

This is a stunning home that was an absolute pleasure to stay in. Extremely clean and tidy, great open plan flow, everything you need provided with a lovely outdoor area and garden. First time in Wanaka and The Art House was a perfect place for it. Just outside of main town area and next to a big park. House had everything that you could need and had great spaces for relaxing especially when enjoying the fireplace!

Lovely house, very well set up.

We booked The Art House, to celebrate a return to Wanaka after not having visited for a number of years and we were not disappointed. The communication with the host, Peter, was great and he went above and beyond to make our check in process easy and comfortable, even lighting the fire for us when we advised him we would be arriving late.The house itself was warm, comfortable, and very well equipped. Admittedly I thought the property would be a bit closer to town than it actually was, but that's my fault for not looking at the map properly. It's still walkable, but it's a long-ish walk. All in all we have no major complaints. The only minor niggle was that the downstairs heatpump was quite noisy no matter what setting it was on. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

The Art House experience

Four of us stayed at this beautiful, comfortable (especially the beds), well-equiped house. It was great to have the owner next door in case we had questions or concerns. Everything was in good working order & the laundry facility was great. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood with lovely views, easy off street parking with a 10 to 15 minutes walk to town. We were all delighted with our stay & have no hesitation in recommending it to others

The art house was an absolutely wonderful base for exploring Wanaka. The home is decorated in a lovely way. Lots of beautiful art and little touches. Phenomenal beds and bedding. Fully stocked kitchen with upscale appliances. Great couches and chairs. Beautiful vegetable garden. The host, Peter, could not have been nicer. We’ve stayed in 18 homes on our 3 month trip. This is the first we’d love to live in.
