8 minuters bilresa från Picton ren städad mysig bach nära båtramp, utkik osv har egen förtöjning för att binda till en 7mtr båt osv rakt framför bach egen privata strand osv bara så avkopplande en fantastisk kan se sälar, fiska ett fågeliv från övre däck etc. skaldjur musslor n Kina, paua, kräftor vid dörren steg rakt av nedre veranda mycket natursköna en titta på kryssningsfartyg n färjor kryssa by fantastiska solnedgångar också

Glorious views and right on the water

The wow factor when you walk in.The steep steps a bit challenging for oldies, and parking was precarious.on the last morning we had no hot water until 10am as we were leaving it trickled back on.!!! we loved it .

Breathtaking

The most amazing views and ocean life to watch. Just stunning. As in pictures this is an older house but so much space and privacy and the location makes up for any shortfalls.

Stunning location

Such a gorgeous spot for our 7 night stay over Christmas. The kids had a ball swimming, playing on the kayaks, fishing off the deck and watching the stingrays. Easy mooring right out front for our boat to go and explore other parts of the sounds. Great communication from Al with all our questions! Thanks for sharing your little slice of paradise!

Gorgeous Location

You could not ask for a better location, we loved our stay. The only issue we had was cleanliness, this left a lot to be desired, not at all clean. It was hard to relax and not give the place a thorough spring clean, we advised the owner, and he was going to speak to the cleaner, so hopefully this is resolved for the next guests.

Blissful serenity

This is the 2nd time staying at Al’s place and we absolutely love it. It’s a true kiwi style Bach, world away from the rest of Waikawa bay and only a minute further down the road. The large window makes you feel like you’re on a boat as you look out to sea, as the water literally comes right up to the house at full tide. Having the mooring available to use was great too, meant we were ready to go anytime there was a break in the weather. The space is very workable for groups as their are different areas that can be shut off and downstairs has outside access and it’s own bathroom. Can’t wait to come back!

Waikawa getaway

Great spot, Bach as advertised. Difficulty and confusion with the check-in process, and Bach could have been cleaner. Unable to use Kayaks which had no bungs, and could not find padlock key for boat until last day. Parking is limited. Still a fun place for a short stay.

Very basic bach,could do with a little tlc and boat handling difficult. Poor parking room. Not told access was only via steps. Nice views out over water.

Loved it

Wonderful stay, saw the stingray before we even unpacked, love the crib vibe and ideal for families. Stairs were very steep as mentioned but we were warned about that. if you are fit enough for steep stairs, I very highly recommend this for a relaxing get away. Thanks so much

Idyllic Spot

While the accommodation was basic it had everything we needed and was in a fantastic location with amazing views. Had a wonderfully relaxing time with family during our stay here.

Charming cottage

Beautiful sunny cottage right on the water. Adequate amenities and loads of charm. Great place to unwind and just minutes from Picton. Loved our stay.
