Quaint Historic Ocean View

Property manager was very attentive to our needs and replied to all msgs in a very timely fashion. There were a couple things that needed tending to when we arrived and he took care of it immediately. Despite having parking on the street, it was never an issue and often got the spot that was right next to the house. The beach was directly across the street and was clean with friendly neighbors! Although there is a sign stating no dogs or animals allowed on the beach, there were many dogs on the beach but all owners were very attentive. Super cute neighborhood!

Forth of July Weekend Trip

The house was in a great location with access to the beach and playground. The community had residents who were super friendly. The house itself was clean and allowed our dog. The view of the water from the house was beautiful.

Lovely Spot!

We had a very nice few days with our pup in this clean and comfortable spot. It was nicely appointed and very cozy. It was so nice to look out on the water and relax. Great area to get some good walks in, too. The extra treat was the harvest moon! We would definitely love to return.

Beautiful View

My favorite part of the property is its gorgeous view of the Long Island Sound. It’s an older home, and still needs a little work, but the beds are super comfortable, the host is great at getting back to you and he left us a nice basket of goodies and wine. He also provides things like TP, Paper towels, sheets, bath and beach towels, coffee, detergent and more. This is so nice to not have to bring all of that when traveling with 3 kids! The small beach out front is nice for collecting shells, skipping rocks, or reading on the bench. Overall, we had a really great stay.

Everything you need

This property was clean and had everything you could possibly need. Kitchen had every type of equipment and more than ample dishes and glasses. There was a nice view of the shore from the front window and sunsets were amazing. The beach across the street was quiet and very natural with lots of shells and seaweed and rocks that my grandson loved to explore. The neighborhood is very family oriented and felt quite safe. The property itself is on the oldish side but nicely decorated and arranged. Parking is on a side street but we didn’t have any trouble. There is another unit upstairs and it was obvious when they were walking around in heels but all in all a quiet comfortable place to relax and enjoy the shore.

Worth the experience

Our experience with Roberts rental was fantastic. I loved the enclosed front porch. I worked there during the day and at night we sat there and watched the sunset. It was directly across from the beach which made it so easy to go back and forth to the house with our 9 month old. Our stay was also during storm Ida but Robert was so responsive to anything we needed. The location was close to everything we needed and has beautiful New England drives leading in. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for that perfect quiet location to relax with family or friends.

Gem on the shore

This property has everything you need. It was nice not to have to worry about beach chairs or towels. Having the backyard fully equipped was also great. The kitchen is fully stocked and the owner provided a very much appreciated welcome basket with very thoughtful treats. The owner was kind enough to check in to make sure everything was okay when a hurricane was forecast to hit during our stay. Excellent communication. I would highly recommend this property!

Quick Getaway

We recently moved to the east coast and needed a quick vacation. Fortunately, we were able to find Robert's property last minute and enjoyed a few days exploring New Haven and the adjacent areas. Robert was always available via text or the Vrbo chat to answer any questions and the house had everything we needed. The house is close to New Haven and Robert had some great food recommendations (which we ended up trying for every meal). Thanks again Robert!

Fantastic beachfront getaway

My family and I came to stay at this lovely property after having been home bound due to the pandemic for over a year. This was our first real vacation since 2019. We enjoyed the fact that the space was spotless with comfortable spaces, a well appointed kitchen, and above all the gorgeous view of the Long Island Sound and Charles Island. We highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to have a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway with their family. I highly recommend this rental and will come back again!

Wonderful time, great value

My wife and I wanted to get together with our friends for a bit. We thought we were going to meet at a hotel, but the cost would have been 5 times more! Staying here was really wonderful and much less expensive than a hotel! Robert was a gracious host, and very thoughtful with his food and shopping recommendations. He also left several snacks, treats and beverages for us. The property was spotless clean and very comfortable. We ate home a few times, so his kitchen had everything we could possibly want! The view of the water in the morning, the BBQ in the evening, and the price made it a wonderful time!!! Thanks Robert! We'll be back!

A Wonderful Property and a Wonderful Host

This trip was exactly what we needed. Upon entering the property, we found a goodie basket with snacks and goodies. Robert also left us refreshments in the refrigerator! The place was cozy, clean and organized. The beds are amazingly comfortable! I was on vacation but my friend had to work a bit, but was very happy with the fast internet! We spent the days on the beach and really enjoyed the back yard for dinner and just hanging out in the evening. There is a very cool outdoor sectional and a lot of places to relax. Also, Robert is an amazing host. He was quick with suggestions on where to shop, eat and where to go in New Haven. We ran out of propane for the grill and he delivered it within 20 minutes. He is awesome! I really loved this place. The view of the water, the relaxed vibe of the house and the proximity to restaurants and stores. We're are probably going to book a week or 2 in August!

Simple and Charming

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay in this cozy duplex unit with beach views from the front sunporch. The owner definitely went out of his way to make us feel welcome, with generous welcome-baskets and helpful notes around the house.

Wonderful socially distant week at the beach

My dog, husband, friend and I stayed here for a week in July 2020. We were looking for a house on the beach in Connecticut where we wouldn't have to fight the crowds and we found it here! Rob, the owner was very responsive. Milford is a beautiful community with lots of restaurants, shopping and waterfront activities. I'd like to spend more time downtown, but due to covid, we pretty much kept to ourselves and had a wonderful week spending all day at the beach, paddleboarding, floating, enjoying beautiful low tide sunsets on the cove between Pond Point and Welches Point, and sunrises around the corner facing east. We went on a couple nice bike rides and walks. We grilled and ate in the spacious fenced backyard, had our morning coffee in the sunroom overlooking the water and evening wine on the front lawn watching the sunset over the sound. It was a luxury having a dishwasher and laundry at the beach. Beach is maintained by the neighborhood association so it's popular with the neighborhood. The beach is pretty rocky -- bring your water shoes and you'll be good to go. Nothing beats being right on the beach and not having to get up early to park, fight the crowds and schlep your stuff around.

Go for the Lovely Location

Lovely location directly on a cute CT beach. Walkable combo rocky/sandy beach, swimmable at high tide. Very nice neighborhood for walks bike rides and friendly chats with locals. Comfortable beds. Front of the house bed-space was a cozy place to sleep and wake up to the water view. Owner was very kind and easy to communicate with. We were surprised upon arrival that the rental is actually the ground floor unit of a house that has been split into 2 units. The neighbors above were very quiet and respectful but footsteps could be heard from time to time. The split house was not explicit in the listing to us. Otherwise we had a great time and enjoyed the week.

Luxury pricing, ordinary accommodation

The water is right across the street! That makes up for some defects in the property (peeling laminate, doors don’t close properly etc.) which generally needs some TLC. Also, it’s a shared house with a separate apartment upstairs, not clear in listing. But the Milford waterfront was great for a family ranging from 73 years to 24 months.

Small town beaching

Great house! I stayed with a few friends and we enjoyed the area. Small quiet town with a little beach across the street which was perfect. Clean house which was prepped nicely with necessities. Owners were very helpful with suggestions for the area. Really enjoyed our stay!

Everything you could want (and more)!

Everything you could want and more! The house has all of the comforts of home: Terrific matresses to enjoy a good snooze after a relaxing day. Well appointed interior with lots of seating space for enjoying a good book, sharing a meal together, and taking a break from the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked for everything you can cook and includes a full-sized fridge/freezer. Take advantage of the washer/dryer to pack less clothes on the trip. Everything is clean, tidy, and in great condition. The house is very well located: The location is across from a semi-private beach, where we spent early mornings and late evenings walking the shore, searching for crabs, and walking along the sand bars. The neighborhood is very quite and full of families so we felt very safe and welcome. The house has it's own private drive way as well as is located next to a cul-de-sac so you can park on the street as well. We visited many of the towns nearby (Millford, New Haven, etc) and enjoyed being able to get away from it all while still being near great restaurants and easy-to-reach grocery stores and shops. The house is maintained by excellent hosts: Robert and Yolanda were terrific in providing ample suggestions for dining, shopping, places to visit, and kid-friendly things to do. Their response time was excellent throughout the whole process - from the initial booking, to the check-in-date, during our 4/5 day stay, to the check-out. They were very accomodating with our schedule and travel plans. They even had a gift-basket waiting for us that the adults and kids really enjoyed. Overall - an excellent home, an excellent location, and excellent hosts. We were very happy staying here and look forward to the next time we can visit!
