Welcome to our handcrafted chalet in Enderby, where every detail has been thoughtfully designed with love. What started as a hand-drawn shop footprint evolved into this cozy, stylish space we call home.

Our 2 bedroom + loft, 1 bathroom house sits on half an acre which provides ample space and privacy to enjoy this serene place. Inviting and full of character, it's the perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature. Wake up to a magical field view from the master bedroom as morning fog rises, offering a serene and mystical experience.
The wood stove makes all of your hygge vibes a reality in the colder months after you’ve been out and about exploring during the day, or whether you want a restful day inside.
The kitchen is fully equipped with state of the art appliances, high quality organic spices and oils, and all of the essential tools for gourmet home cooked meals. We are only 5 minutes outside of town which makes accessing grocery stores and restaurants a breeze.
The house is newly built with polished concrete floors and custom finishing throughout. You’ll feel like you’re country living with all of the creature comforts available. We do often have wildlife cross through the property and we have security cameras around the perimeter to ensure safety. We include organic linens for each bed, and use non-toxic, environmentally friendly cleaning products throughout the home.
We have big plans to add a bathhouse/sauna in the next year, so stay tuned for updates.

Summer activities that are close by include different hand launches along the stunning Shuswap River for floating, Mabel Lake Resort and Marina (25mins), and amazing hiking trails just down the road.

Winter activities include snowmobiling at Hunter's Range (trailhead is 5mins down the road), cross-country skiing or snowshoeing at Larch Hills (24mins), and SilverStar Mountain Resort (45mins) for all of your other skiing, boarding, skating and tubing fun.

We hope our home, built from the heart, makes you feel as relaxed and comfortable as we do.

The property was clean, well laid out, and very welcoming—overall a lovely space to stay. However, I was surprised to find security cameras on-site, including a motion-activated one at the front door, which wasn’t clearly disclosed in the VRBO listing. Clearer communication around surveillance would have made me feel more at ease.I also found the host’s communication to be somewhat passive-aggressive, particularly around a situation involving my dog. People have different views on how pets are managed, and mistakes with animals can happen. A bit more understanding and empathy would have gone a long way.With more transparency and gentler communication, this would have been an excellent stay.

No access code in instructions resulted in huge inconvenience

Because the owner did not provide the access code in the check in instructions and could not be reached we had to completely change our travel plansNot impressed

Get-together with Friends

My friends and I had a lovely stay at Blackbird Retreat. The cabin is very clean and immediately felt like home. The location feels secluded, but is only a 4-minute drive from downtown Enderby. We cooked all meals over our 6 night stay. The kitchen is well stocked with high-end appliances and cooking utensils. We loved sitting by the fire, playing card games, and listening to music.

My husband convinced me to move to Enderby where he grew up after we lived together in Kelowna for 5 years. We had visited lots, but it was time to escape the busy city life and enjoy being immersed in nature. We originally built a house in a development right in town, but after a year there we decided to utilize the property he bought off of his dad when he was younger.

It's crazy to think of where it all started with this property. When I first visited, it was covered in trees and completely overgrown and natural. We cleared an area for what we planned as a shop footprint, and the ideas evolved after that. The serene quiet, the natural beauty, and the woodland visitors make it a very special spot.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Even though we are only 5 minutes from town, you feel like you're miles away from others. The community nearby keeps to themselves and we all respect each others privacy. There aren't many places where you have access to both the convenient essentials of town and the feeling of a secluded retreat!
