Get away to nature

Waterfront Retreat is a great spot to relax and indulge in nature. Our villa (Tanjil) had an excellent vista looking past bush and grass to the lakes with friendly kangaroos visiting in the morning and evening.The villa itself is well suited to a family with 2 bedrooms sleeping 5, although there is only one bathroom. It has just about all you need with cooktop, BBQ, microwave (incl convection), toaster, coffee pod machine, and plenty of utensils, etc. The retreat includes a swimming pool, hot tub, bikes, kayaks, canoes, etc at no additional charge. When we stayed in early January there were no issues accessing these eg no one was using them at the time we used them.Wifi was good but limited mobile signal.Although you feel like you’re getting away from it all, it’s only 20 minutes to Paynesville and Bairnsdale. Once in Paynesville, I recommend walking for free onto the ferry to visit Raymond Island for a walk and koala spotting - we saw lots of them!
